My mouth is a minefield. I have screws, pins, implants, and I've had my fair share of cavities too. For a lot of dentists, looking into my mouth is like looking into a crystal ball and seeing their children's college fund. My experience with Paul Lee was a breath of (minty) fresh air. I hadn't been to the dentist in a long time because I'd moved to Houston and was intimidated by the prospect of finding an honest dentist. I had a toothache and knew I needed to go somewhere soon. He walked me through my options and laid out a plan that detailed potential time and cost that wouldn't be covered by my insurance policy. The techniques used by Dr. Lee were all very modern and I felt as though I were receiving the best and most cutting edge care available. It turned out I needed an implant and Dr. Lee made sure it was fitted correctly, matched my other teeth exactly, and that I was happy with the final look. When needing help beyond what he could provide, Dr. Lee referred me to an oral surgeon who was as equally as competent and caring. After my surgery Dr. Lee even called to make sure I was okay. Most surprising of all, when my insurance company paid more than they were supposed to, Dr. Lee not only sent the money back, but called to make sure it was returned. And all this was after I had moved out of the country. How many doctors would do that?! Finding a good and trustworthy dentist is very difficult. I was so happy with my experience that although having moved from the United States, I want to fly back solely for a visit with Dr. Lee. read more

Dr. Lee bought his practice from our loving, long time dentist who was preparing for retirement. Since the location was a bit out of the way for me, I realized that it was my opportunity to find a dentist closer to my area where I wouldn't have to deal with as much traffic. During the two year transition, I continued to use my dentist and took my children to Dr. Lee so that I could decide if we liked him and stay with this practice. We are very impressed with Dr. Lee and all his staff, which is great because we already had a good relationship with the existing staff. Now, we are definitely Dr. Lee patients for life. As a mother, I love it that my teenage son is comfortable with him. It feels like he has taken a personal interest in my son and it has made a difference in how my son feels about oral hygiene. He just recently applied braces to my son so we are going to be there often in the coming months. We never have to wait more than a few minutes and pass that time in his comfortable waiting room which always has current magazines and a television, while drinking coffee or water, and the front desk staff makes us feel at home. He is very smart, interesting, and personable. I highly recommend Dr Lee to anyone. Each time we go, we look forward to new pics of the baby. Wasn't too happy with my first experience there. They tried to sell me some oral cancer checkup at the front desk when you sign in, for $45 I think it was. I bought in Xrays from several other dentists in the past because I didn't want to get the unnecessary gamma radiation exposure, however Paul Lee advised me that he could not treat me unless they took the Xrays. This seems to be some sort of state law or regulation. Even so, I would have appreciated if his office didn't waste my time taking off work, filling out paperwork at the office, sitting in the dentist chair for up to 30 - 45 minutes while trying to prove my old dental Xrays were sufficient, which in the end he deemed not to be sufficient since he stated they were too old(about one year old). Then, asking me if I've had a deep cleaning before and stating that I may need another one, without ever even checking out my teeth. I thought he was trying to sell me services without ever even knowing what my oral health is. He refused to clean my teeth without doing the Xrays so we both mutually ended the appointment. Not too happy with the wasted time off from work on my end, and the trying to suggest I needed a deep cleaning based on having one in the past, but other than that, it appeared to seem like a normal dentist office with a normal staff and a normal operation. read more

As much as I wanted to believe and trust all the good reviews, the poor reviews are definitely more aligned with my experience. My very first visit, I got all the x-rays done and then I was diagnosed with periodontal disease. I have never heard of the disease but it required a deep tissue cleaning which cost me around a little less than $500 out of my pocket. My second or third visit, I had to get 2 cavities filled even after I got all the xrays done during my first visit. Why weren't they identified during the first visit? It felt extremely rushed and looking back, I had no visual confirmation or much information at all. My last visit, I came because I wanted to get a new pair of retainers. During a previous visit, I was told they were covered by insurnace but this visit, it suddenly was not covered and would cost me around $700. Then they said they would follow up and let me know. Never heard back and never heard back about future appointments for treating my 'peridontal disease'. The most surprising part though is that I see a dentist at least once a year and get my teeth cleaned. I brush my teeth twice a day and floss every single day. I haven't had a single cavity since middle school so I am questioning a lot of things. My feeling is that this place is all about the money. Never going back and don't recommend it. read more

Dr. Lee and his office staff are the best! Dr. Lee and his hygienists are not only intelligent, detail oriented and diligent, but they really treat you like old friends when you visit their office. The equipment is all new and state-of-the-art, and it makes cleanings an enjoyable experience. They're all so friendly and nice, and go out of their way to provide the best customer service. For example, I'm always traveling for work and I love those mini toothpastes, so they give me extras. When I say that I leave the dentist with a brighter, sparkling smile, I mean it! They're actually visibly whiter. I got married last month, and I made sure to book in the week of the ceremony so that I could achieve ultimate brightness for my big day. Megan, my hygienist, even threw in a "power wash" to make them sparkle even more. If you're looking for a dentist, try Dr. Lee. Well after reading the fantastic reviews from so many people that go to his practice, I am short on words to say! I stumbled on Dr Lees clinic by chance, due to a cracked tooth. As all have said the biggest fear Dentist Arrrrr, but when I arrived I got on so well with the staff, it was a joy to have a laugh! The amazing thing is that although I was tense and sweating in the chair for that bound to happened pain it did not happened! I was so pleased with the way that Dr Lee worked, and always friendly and smiling. Technically the whole crew there are the finest, and I am totally in there hands for doing a suburb job. One time I was a guinea pig for a new machine were they made the crown at the office, well that did take some time and Dr Lee let me spend time In his office and even bought me Lunch! I cannot say enough about Dr.Lee and his office. This office is the best! I am so impressed with the level of care I am receiving every time I visit them. The facility is so up-to-date!! Dr. Lee basically has saved my smile! He is so professional and considerate. Last time I had like five fillings in one side. He fixed them all in about 35-40 minutes only! And I didn't feel anything! We moved to Houston three years ago, and Dr. Lee came highly recommeded to us. Dr. Lee's front office staff always greet us with a smile, and the dental hygentists and dental assistants are friendly, knowlegeable and engaging. Dr. Lee is professional, compassionate and has a fun sense of humor. He has been able to relate to all members of our family and their varying dental needs - from a 15 month old with chipped front teeth; a teenager during and after braces; and adults needing root canals, crowns, dental implants and suffering from dental work anxiety. I don't believe I have ever waited more than five minutes for a scheduled appointment. Believe it or not, I spent an entire year trying to find a dentist that would see me, much less book an appointment! Finally I came across Dr. Lee's practice. To say I was blown away by the customer service was an understatement! From the very first callback to answer my questions, to my most recent appointment, I've been treated no less importantly than someone who's been with them for 15 years, and that's really saying something in this world. Amazing Dentist! Dr. Lee and his staff have helped me overcome my apprehensions and fears of "going to the dentist". If you are looking for a dentist you can trust Dr. Lee is the right choice. On a recent routine cleaning Dr. Lee discovered a change in one of my teeth. He was able to instantly pull previous pictures to confirm the change and help me make the decision to have a crown put in place.I was nervous having heard stories from other friends in the same situation. I was absolutely terrified to go to the dentist and have panic attacks in the chair when I usually go. Dr. Lee and his staff did an amazing job accommodating my anxiety and working with me to make sure I was comfortable and informed through the whole process. My root canal was long over due, and I felt zero pain. I have been seeing Dr. Lee for about 7 years. It started as the dentist in the building where I work, but now he's my dentist. I no longer work in the building but I still go to Dr. Lee because he is a wonderful dentist and person. He looks out for his patient's best interests in their dental health. Dr. Lee's office is great. The staff is so nice, the facilities are top notch, and there is even designated parking for his patients in the garage right by the back entrance! I love the convenience of its location since I'm not too far from the Galleria-area. I have never had to wait long for my appointments either. I've gotten regular cleanings and a cavity filled and all my visits have been positive. I haven't needed anything more serious but if I did, I'm pretty sure I would be in good hands, I really can't find anything to complain about. Since I married my husband (5yrs) I had never seen his gums healthy he had gingivitis, always swollen and bleeding I was really worried about him because gums play a major role not only in your dental health, but in your overall well-being. I told my husband he should go with Dr. Lee. My husband had some treatment done and his gums are healthy now. I was in shock when I first seen his gums I couldn't believe it. Dr. Lee and his staff are awesome! He and his staff do a really good job of explaining any issues that come up, and in explaining all of the new technologies. I came to Dr. Lee after another dentist had filled 2 cavities and I was still experiencing some pain, and Dr. Lee was not shy in repairing these issues that another dentist caused years before. Within the last year, I changed my dentist and started going to Dr. Lee's office, which is very convenient and about 2 minutes from my house. Since my change, every visit to Dr. Lee's office has been great. The front office staff and hygienists are very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Dr. Lee has been a blessing to my family since we moved to Houston last year. He and his staff are knowledgeable, diligent, and just so pleasant. He made my 6 year old love going to the dentist! I love this dental office, this is the first office that I have liked since my childhood dental office. They are so friendly, they remember who you are every time you come in. They put my braces on 2 years ago and I just got them off, I saw them on a monthly basis for tightenings. I wouldn't have wanted to get them anywhere else. I have since talked my aunt into using Dr Lee as her dentist as well and she loves them. We can both joke with them and they joke right back. This is a great group of people. read more
