The third time she asked, another shopper interrupted my wife, spoke over her and asked how much an item she was looking at was. $12.95 he told her. So my wife repeated her question to the man. He very curtly and rudely went off, "$29.95. I told you $29.95. You've asked me 4 times now and I told you $29.95". Perhaps he should simply make a sign that reads," these racks $29.95" instead of triggering his short fuse and unleashing his temper on my wife, a customer! We've been vacationing in Cayucos over a decade now and have purchased many items from this man and his store... but NEVER AGAIN! My wife looked at me in disbelief and I said simply,"let's go". We did and we will NEVER return, taking our money elsewhere even if it means going out of our way to get what we need. We encourage you to follow suit.

I was going to go around them, but then they all went into the store. Only one put his mask on, the other two just waltzed right in. Turned out these were the owner and his buddies, or at the very least someone who worked there. I waited a bit for the air to clear and then went into the store to start to gather my items. I should have just walked away then!! I got through one row and was starting on the second row when I saw one of them go get a soda - with no mask!! He saw me and quickly put on his mask, sort of like an afterthought. I immediately returned the items I had chosen and walked quickly out the door. I will NOT return here, they don't respect the safety of their customers or their workers!! And this during the worst time in the pandemic, where cases, hospitalizations, and deaths are increasing at an alarming rate. They should be ashamed of themselves. Throughout this pandemic I have shopped here several times a week, buying a lot of overpriced goodies. I have probably spent $30-$50 a week here since April. They will definitely notice that they have lost a good customer since I won't be shopping here again. The one star is for the cashiers who are always polite and wear their masks.

Boy, are we glad we did because now this place will be on our standard rotation! We waited maybe 10-15 minutes for our food to be ready...they call your name, and it is already packaged ready for "to go". - We took our food over to one of the tables near the recently renovated Vets Hall and ate while enjoying the ocean view. - OMG, was the food amazing!
