The cleanings are always great and the hygienists always double check. One example I can give of how great Doctor Rizzo is when I called up and said that I got my tooth knocked out in a hockey game. If your teeth are otherwise fine and you are having no difficulties and this practice starts acting dramatically, painfully probing your gums claiming you have alarming bone loss and telling you you need more than a regular cleaning, like a deep cleaning or dental scaling and root planing as they told me, run and get a 2nd opinion stat!!! I did and found out from a reputable practitioner that East Madison exaggerated my bone loss, suggesting that I would soon lose my teeth, evidently to frighten me into agreeing to a totally unnecessary, painful and expensive procedure. I was told by my new dentist who also gently checked that my bone loss was not severe and I was not at risk for losing my teeth, dhouldI live to be 100 as long as I continue to take care of them as I have. East Madison is a multi-practice complete with endodontists and state of the art, expensive equipment and the money to pay for it all reasonably has to come from its clients. Understandable, that there would be a somewhat larger bill at such a practice if run ethically. Unfortunately, the temptation to push unneeded procedures must be high.
