This review is for Dr. Thompson and his elitist, caring, Michelin-quality optometry services (if there is even a thing?) hihihi Such an awesome experience from start to finish! I can honestly say that I have now "gained" a new friendship rather than just a business acquaintance.... :) Where do I begin? Like most of us, this whole pandemic year has led myself to seek inner self-restoration and focus more at me! So naturally a trip to Vegas was in the work....whelps lots of activities planned for the trip such as exotic cars racing, shooting sub machine guns at Battlefield Vegas etc.... And guess what????? All of these tasks require pretty much the ability to see clearly right????? And yours truly forgot her contact lenses.......... Fast forward, needed them fast and I did COUNTLESS hours of researching till the cows come home...many others optometrists... whelps...They just don't seem to qualify on many fronts...Some got the credentials pat down, but services are sorely lacking...some manage to pin down awesome services, but consistency and professionalisms are not all quite there.... That is...until...wait for it *drum rolls*...... I found Dr. Thompson on a Thanksgiving weekend mind you!!!.... To put it succinctly. I am very pleased with Dr. Thompson and his ability to transform patient service into an art form! You can clearly recognized that he prizes himself on delivering first class patient care experience and honesty is THE best policy! Dr. Thompson's professionalism and his uncanny ability to build immediate rapport with his patients certainly made a lasting impression. Most of us would have to admit that we've had our share of mediocre services from other businesses in the past. However, some organizations are starting to "get it." The doctor is polite, thorough, always gets us right in with no appointment. The waiting room is small, and although the staff always helps us I don't get the feeling that they really like us, or their job. I mean, they are pleasant, but in a very bored way. It's odd because the doc is friendly, but they are SO blasé. I usually use this one because he seems to care about his patients. read more

Dr. Thompson was a dream come true, honestly. Las Vegas is not known for its stellar health care, but it has at least one hidden gem in optometry. From his efficient and accommodating office staff, to his own knowledgeable, friendly & caring self, it was VERY obvious that he cares about his patients and their vision. Prior to getting my new Nevada Driver's License, I sought out an Optometrist to get my eyes checked. Paul Thompson's Office was quick to get me in, and I found them very accommodating (as well as personable) on the phone. Having moved so often, I have had to rely on my first impressions with the front office staff / receptionist at doctor's, dentists, etc. as I feel most good staff people tend to work for good employers - and are often led by example. Mr. Thompson was professional, efficient, and took great care in examining my eyes. This was one of the best experiences that I have had in getting my eyes checked, and I will gladly return as needed. On a side note, I currently do not have Visual Care Insurance, and the out of pocket cost was reasonable compared to another Optometrist's office in Henderson that I called who demanded nearly twice as much as Dr. Thompson charges. read more

I needed a new eye doctor close to me so I went with this one, since it was conveniently located in the Walmart. I'm so happy I did! I originally had an appointment on Monday but had to work & called to change it to Thursday. Somehow my appointment didn't get changed but they were still able to fit me in. I was greeted by 2 attentive receptionists who seemed quite organized. After filling out a new patient form I was taken into the room to get my eyes checked with the machine & the glaucoma test done. Despite being a small office, people were separated, masks were on & everything was sanitized. I saw the doctor about 15 minutes later & it was a great experience. He was personable, easy to understand & thorough. I'm trying out some new contacts to see how they feel then I'll order when ready. It was such a smooth process & I left with a smile & some free lens cleaner. I was given both my contacts & glasses prescriptions & the visit was very reasonably priced. I can't recommend Dr, Thompson enough! The entire staff is friendly and welcoming. I was a walk-in and there were several people in the waiting room, but I only waited for about 10 minutes. Dr Thompson is super-nice, efficient, obviously knowledgeable, open to any and all questions, and gives you options rather than just going with one choice. He knew going in that I had no insurance and suggested brands that were as good as the contacts I had at a significantly lower price. He's wonderful; I would give him 10 stars if I could! read more

My entire experience at Dr. Thompson's office was amazing! Scheduling my appointment was easy and they were able to get me in the same day! I had no issues with my insurance being verified because the staff in the front went above and beyond to get it verified when my insurance had some of my information incorrectly inputted in their system. Dr. Thompson was thorough with his exam and his office is equipped with a retinal camera! It was so cool to see the inside of my eye! I was a little iffy at first because of the location. It's next to a Walmart entrance, and I thought it WAS part of Walmart. Turns out, it's not. The girl at the front desk was very nice even though I was a half hour late for my appointment. There isn't much paperwork to fill out (1 page) and no one else was in there, so the doctor saw me very quickly. The doctor himself was very nice, funny and quirky. Made me feel comfortable and answered all of my questions. The exam itself also went relatively fast, which was appreciated. You know the ("Is 1 or 2 better?" "1 or 2?"). Just got done with the eye exam. The service was fast, and convenient. I walked right in & sat down. Even though they're helping with a customer who was already there. They didn't ignore my presence. They ask me if this was my first time there. I said, "yes." And I sign some papers. As soon as I got done with the papers. The doctor called my name quick.
