Based on my estimates of the time the job would take, they were much cheaper than any of the 5 other companies we got quotes from. In the end though, the job did take longer than expected. They used three employees and a large truck. They provided blankets, plastic wrap, and tape to properly protect all items for transport. If they noticed any preexisting damage on the furniture, they notified us promptly so we were aware. Initially, they worked quite efficiently, but began to slow down during the second half of pick-up. What I thought would take about 4 hours ended up being a 6 hour job, including a 45 minute drive to the new place. They still came in cheaper than the next best quote we were considering, but not by much. When they finished the move, they left a mountain of tape, plastic, and cardboard, which they supplied, in our hallway. We thought they would clean it up before leaving, but we were left with that task, which was disappointing. They require a $50 + tax deposit to reserve a move. You pay the balance after all the work is done. They offer a discount if you pay in cash. Overall, they were professional and moving is grueling work so I have no major complaints, other than the debris they left behind. But be mindful that the time-based quote may add up, so be prepared to spend more than you might anticipate.

They were also very responsive when I checked in to make sure we were still on for the move in day. On the move in day they were ON TIME. Yes you read that ON TIME. They called ahead to give us a heads up that they would be arriving soon. The three men arrived ready to work. They wrapped everything very professionally and quickly. I was so worried about my IKEA furniture not being able to survive a move, but it did. Everything was loaded onto the truck within an hour and a half and unloaded within an hour an a half. My furniture was just as perfect in my new home as it was in the previous. Nothing scratched, broken, or torn! Honestly, I will never support anyone moving themselves again and will only refer my friends to Fidelity. Who can deal with all that hustle and bustle? Fidelity was quick, efficient, pleasant men who got the job done without any issues. Their prices were fair and reasonable. tl;dr Dispatch was great, crew was horrible…read more I want to be fair. Dispatch was professional, helpful, and the price was reasonable, especially for short notice. I wasn't pushed to give more of a tip, although I did tip more than recommended. I was initially really satisfied, but have since discovered they deliberately damaged a 6-level stacked metal card cabinet. When I included it in the inventory, I wasn't aware there were still items in the drawers. Our move was extremely chaotic, and the moving service that we used prior, checked all drawers to make sure they were empty, before moving items. People make mistakes, especially in stressful circumstances. Nonetheless, I accept that the responsibility of checking was still ultimately mine. However, if I had been made aware there were still items inside, I would have apologized, and either offered to pay more, or moved the drawers myself. After arriving at the new location, my son heard clinking sounds, as one of the movers walked past him smirking, while shaking and swinging the drawers, one in each hand. He then threw the drawers on their sides, onto one of my metal bookcases, which was apparently repeated for all 6 stacks. Between the throwing and shaking, the outer surfaces of the drawers and top of the bookcase were scratched and scuffed. The individual drawers were so badly dented that I had trouble putting several back in once removed, to retrieve the items that had been flung into the very back, past the drawers. They could have refused to take the cabinet, like they did with several boxes I had pointed out at the beginning of the move as needing to be prioritized. I had to beg and offer them more money to get those boxes onto the truck, because they said they'd already taken enough items. It wasn't until they called dispatch that they were told I had preemptively paid more the day before, because I didn't want to risk undercounting the boxes and other items. Dispatch said I didn't owe anything more, and told them to take the boxes. I was trying to understand why this crew didn't simply decline to move the cabinet, like with the boxes. They would have been well within their rights, because it violated their company's policy. Given the smirking and throwing, the only conclusion I can make is that this crew found messing with customers and damaging their items, fun.

Instead, that responsibility was completely handed off to my partner, who stayed with the truck while the movers brought items down for him to load. There was no discussion about this. In fact, it was initially suggested that I use only 2 movers but I requested another to be more efficient. I didn't realize that they assumed my partner was an unpaid 4th. Items with "this side up" stickers were completely disregarded. They brought everything down however they wanted to and handed them off to my partner however was most convenient for them. Also, a couple of guys who were not part of the moving team entered my apartment unannounced, to say hello to the movers. They did not clearly identify themselves, though it seemed like they may have been affiliated with the company. Regardless, having strangers invite themselves into my apartment during the move was pretty inappropriate. Lastly, when it came time for payment, you can only pay by cash or Zelle - which, to me, is sketchy AF. I had planned to send it via Zelle to their company account as instructed. However, the lead mover was insistent that I send the payment directly to him instead, saying he needed to pay his workers immediately.
