Fidelity Transportation moved my husband and I Wednesday April 1st from a one bedroom second floor apartment to another one bedroom second floor apartment a short distance away. The whole process was smooth, and stress free. I messaged Fidelity on Thumbtack to get an estimate. They provided an unbelievably fair price and an early start time. They were also very responsive when I checked in to make sure we were still on for the move in day. On the move in day they were ON TIME. Yes you read that ON TIME. They called ahead to give us a heads up that they would be arriving soon. The three men arrived ready to work. They wrapped everything very professionally and quickly. I was so worried about my IKEA furniture not being able to survive a move, but it did. Everything was loaded onto the truck within an hour and a half and unloaded within an hour an a half. My furniture was just as perfect in my new home as it was in the previous. Nothing scratched, broken, or torn! Honestly, I will never support anyone moving themselves again and will only refer my friends to Fidelity. Who can deal with all that hustle and bustle? Seriously don't second guess this one... go with Fidelity. They are the cheapest quote you'll find and they are extremely professional, super strong, super fast, and just blew me away. I moved from a 2nd fl 1BR walk up today in Astoria to a 4 fl walk up on the UES. They dealt with the stairs, really narrow spaces, and what would have been to most a total clusterf** of a parking situation with ease. My foreman was Freddie and he was friendly, communicated super well about everything, and never seemed phased. I had to tell them to take a water break! Seriously, these guys were SO fast. Serg and his team were great to work with. They arrived on the dot, did the move within their estimated time, and was incredibly fast yet careful. Serg was very responsive and accommodating to any questions I had during our pre-moving communications. They also quickly disassembled our bed frame and assembled it in our new home. The day of the move was just OK. They provided 3 guys for a 1 br move that took 5 hours which was uncalled for. My new apt was 15 mins away from my old apt but it took them awhile to arrive. The movers definitely did not move as fast as they could've. They could've finished in 4 and half hours but decided to charge me an extra half hour because the lead foreman took his sweet time to get the papers from his truck and made an excuse that he didn't take a cloth off from my mirror which he could have done beforehand.
