    Unexpectedly cute bistro!

Don't judge a book by its cover. Yes, this little family-friendly Italian eatery is located in a truck stop/gas station - but their Italian food and house-made desserts are legit! Daughter and I stopped on our way from northern Columbus to Fort Wayne. I filled up the car with gas and she got hungry - so we took a chance and went inside. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Whoa, it smelled great![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was friendly and menu looked terrific. Kiddo had fettuccine Alfredo - the best she's ever had, she said, and she orders that all over the world. We also got their "cinnamon roll" which is basically a Stromboli filled with cinnamon, brown sugar and butter. Made fresh to order, it blew our minds. Don't miss out on Salvatori's if you're ever in the area!

America is the only place where you can find decent, wholesome, homemade food in a gas station. Yep.. Italian in a gas station. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This cozy, small place has all the authentic dishes you know and love, with a 5 star wait staff and the owner walking around talking to people.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The real score is 4.5. The pizza was fantastic but the crust wasn't as firm as I like. But don't let that stop you! I highly recommend Salvatori's.

    Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a tiny restaurant as part of a truck stop. Tiny, and extremely busy on a Friday night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were greeted by the owner and directed to the only empty booth. Wait service was prompt. As Italian goes, it is definitely Americanized Italian. My wife had the Basilicata which was quite good, with excellent sausage and a nice sauce. A half-portion was plenty large enough. I had the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, and to be perfectly honest, it was barely adequate. The sauce left a lot to be desired. The breadsticks were good.

Ok, first things first. It is right off the highway, shares a wall with a Taco Bell and next to a gas station. Full stop. If you keep reading or stop, you will do yourself a favor. Thanks other Yelpers. It was a rainy Friday night, nearing the end of a long road trip and we were cranky and hungry and despite the reservations in the first paragraph, decided to give it a shot. Really a great meal. It is the original location of which is now 7-8 other locations in greater Ft Wayne. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is cozy and cute inside but small.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Short wait for a table (we called ahead which helped and was appreciated). Started with Bosco Sticks which was a cross between bread sticks and fried mozzarella. Choice of 4 dipping sauces. Delicious. Our party of 4 sampled the menu - chicken Marsala special for me, a spaghetti supreme, pasta apuilia and a white pizza. Everything was great and HUGE portions. 2 got the "small" Which they couldn't finish. The large is only like $2 more. Authentic cannolis for dessert. Limited beer and wine menu. Friendly and attentive service and food came out quickly. The only reason why I hold back from 5 stars was that this was not "to die for" Italian food or super creative. But a very solid choice and so glad we stopped.

Best Italian I've had in a long time! Great costumer service highly recommend ! I try something new every time I stop here have yet to be disappointed

    Lasagna

The lasagna was absolutely amazing and delicious!!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is old school Italian decor which was only beat out by the aroma of the kitchen.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My waitress recommended the lasagna and it was very hot when she served me!!!! Definitely a return trip to this restaurant.... not your typical location.... It is nestled in next to a gas station but you can fill up your car too I did get dessert but haven't had it yet

Amazing! Don't be fooled by the location (attached to a gas station). This place is legit. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable (although small so not a ton of seating). The food is wonderful. We enjoyed the breadsticks and three meat cuscino as appetizers. The breadsticks were delicious, especially with the homemade alfredo. The meatball was good - too much meat for me but everyone else loved it. I had the spinach and mushroom ravioli which was fabulous. Tons of fresh spinach, tender mushrooms and a decadent white sauce. I didn't get dessert but my dining partners gave the cheesecake 2 thumbs up, and they said the cinnamon roll was incredible. Fantastic find well worth a return visit.

Third time I've stopped at Salvatori's on my way to or from a soccer game in Michigan, and this place never disappoints! The food is always amazing and the atmosphere cozy. On this visit we split a loaded calzone with marinara for dipping. It was cheesy, full of meat, sauce and veggies and super filling. We also split a small house salad - it was so full it spilled over the bowl! Finally we got one of their decadent cinnamon rolls to go - perfect with a cup of coffee later in our hotel room. Don't let the gas station location fool you - Salvatori's is the real deal.

ARE YOU SERIOUS? The Sunoco Gas Station at exit 19 on I469 in Ft Wayne Indiana, across street from the Flyin J Truckstop has "Authentic Italian Food"! What???????????? Who would have thunk it? Not just authentic, but, BOMB DOT COM Good! Incredibly good small thin crust pizza that is probably one of my top 5 and a spicy cajun rigatoni in a creamy Alfredo sauce that was seriously so good! The first thing that dawned on me was how good it was and it is located in gas station. 2.5hrs from my house and I stumbled upon this as I was near ft Wayne Indiana. Elle was an amazing waitress so please go see her, she told us exactly what to get. A small little place with maybe 10-12 parking spots that are probably meant for gas station guests but don't let that detour you! You will not regret this. It's worth a long drive to experience it. Wow!!

    Blackened Salmon Caesar Salad

This place might have the best Italian in Fort Wayne! We ate at the New Haven location, which is the original location. I got the Blackened Salmon Caesar Salad and it was so good! The salad had crushed up croutons mixed into the salad so every bite had a nice crunch. And the dressing was so full of flavor. It might be the best Caesar salad around! I also got the lasagna to go but had a few bites while it was hot. It was amazing and might be my new favorite! I will definitely be returning to Salvatori's for sure!!

I was confused that the sauce options were not on the menu. However the kind bartender gave me an 8 pack of sauces to try. I found that the Carolina mustard sauce was my favorite. Very mild in spice. The consistency was also thin so it had trouble sticking to the wing. A slight mustard taste that accented the crispy fried skins nicely. This order had 10 nicely sized wings. The wing was was cooked perfectly - no pink on the inside. The skin was nicely crisp without being crunchy. Extra crispy wings have never been my favorite. However, Rack & Hellen's did an incredible job with these wings! I loved the onions rings. A large-thick piece of onion with a thick batter. The batter was moderately crispy but a bit oily to taste. Definitely recommend! The mac salad was very good. They use a larger shell along with egg and possibly onion. The mayo is pretty heavy. However the dish was pretty tasty! On this occasion I sat at the bar. The place was busy. There were plenty of servers hustling and helping each other. The bartenders were very kind and friendly. I was pleased that the food came out rather quickly!

You couldn't taste anything but mayonnaise and BBQ sauce pouring out the sides. My friend got the chicken bacon wrap, which was just a tiny, dry tortilla shell with a piece of chicken inside and a tiny side of runny coleslaw on a huge plate. I could have ordered that from a fast-food place. Our waiter was super nice and impressive. When we went to pay, I showed him my $15 birthday coupon they sent to my email. He said, 'I'm sorry, the new owners took all of that away.' I have been coming here for 20-plus years, but they have lost me as a customer. Yeah, it's only $15, but that's not the point. The owner should have announced that in the emails or had the waitress say that from the start. We drove far away because of that coupon, just to have it rejected. New owners should have written a new email saying they don't honor that anymore or waited until they were all used. We eat at Rach & Helen's all the time, but if the owner wants to lose business over $15, then so be it! Our waiter said we are not the only ones that have complained! I have always loved this place and will miss going here, but if that's how they treat their loyal customers, then I'm okay with that!

Antonio's, although there were literally a dozen or so places within walking distance from where I was having my Tire Service Service performed. It was between 2:30 - 3:00pm time frame. The employees were obviously tending to other priorities upon me walking in. I was greeted immediately by a pleasant young Man. After telling him my choice { 9 Hot wings w/Blue cheese & a Root Beer } I went ahead and seated myself. Although I requested Celery along with my Wings I was told they were out. I initially requested a Beer and was told they don't serve Alcoholic Beverages. Those two things were quickly put out of my mind as not mattering, I cant begin to stress that enough! The service was fantastic, ( professional & pleasant ). The Wings were lathered in a great sauce with quite the kick accompanied by just enough Blue cheese dressing to finish off the ninth Wing. Root beer served in a generous sized Tumbler and I was asked by the Female server if I'd like a re-fill to go, although I declined Her offer. All in all, this Restaurant was clean, neat, and the Service & Food scrumptious! To say I'd visit them again would be a gross understatement..! The 2 setbacks were no Celery and no Alcohol served. I say, "so what", to both of those issues. This place made me feel like a King. I will definitely go back and look forward to tasting a multitude of offerings on the diverse Menu. It was extremely obvious that meeting the Customers wants and needs in a professional & pleasant manner was their Mission Statement! Give this Restaurant a try.., you owe it to yourself to experience a Place where the Employees clearly aim to please..! THANKS B. ANTONIO'S...! You made me feel right at home...see ya soon I hope!!!
