Yummy Mac &Cheese! Side of the road spot right before Shenandoah National Park! We enjoyed it!

Stopped in and got a full rack of ribs and they had definitely been kept warm and finished much earlier then when I got them. They were just ok and I wouldn't get them again, although I think the pulled pork sandwiches are they way to go here if I was to stop back in.

This place has the best sides I've had yet with my BBQ! The baked beans were as good as my Aunts homemade and the potato salad was very delicious as well. The deviled eggs were sweet perfection. I loved the ribs but honestly the sides made the meat pale in comparison! I'd go back just for the beans! We will definitely be back when we hit the trail again.

Food was great! The Mac and cheese was to die for! Great service and quick to get our food even when they were busy.

We were driving around the area and wanted to grab a quick lunch. Keeping it simple we went with the 1/2 lb. of pulled pork with two rolls, but my wife wanted to add the mac & cheese and a banana pudding. Usually pulled pork isn't my bbq go to, but this was really good. It's sauced, but not overly so. Sweet, but there's a great smoky flavor. The pork texture was perfect because it was tender without being overcooked. It wasn't pulled too thin, so you had a bit of a bite to it. I didn't try the other stuff, but my wife thought it was good. Highly worth the stop.

Wow! I'm not a huge bbq fan and when I do eat it my preference is Texas style. My brother picked me up a pulled pork sandwich platter with Mac and cheese and beans. It was so good! The pulled pork sandwich was the best I've ever had and that includes all across the US. I love the bbq sauce it was just enough and incredibly good. This is the best bbq restaurant in the entire region! I'm a small eater and the portions were enough for several meals for me.

Delicious and smoky! The person at the stand was hospitable and kind. There's only option for takeaway, but you can eat everything on-site outside on the wooden picnic tables. We got the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and the 1/2 smoked chicken platter (comes with two sides). We opted for the sides of baked beans and potato salad.. and it did not disappoint. Beans were sweet and smoky and the potato salad was rich yet tangy and creamy. The chicken comes with either spicy BBQ sauce or regular and we asked for both. The BBQ sauces were out of this world! I would buy a whole bottle of both sauces if they sold those. Yummmmm!

Went to Vision BBQ for pre-concert dinner (show was at Ting Pavilion). Walked in on a Sunday…read moreafternoon about 5. Very slow, business wise. Server (Brianna) started out good, fairly attentive until I got my food. After I got my food I got one cursory "all good?" and that was it until I got the bill. Anyway, on to the food: ordered two meat plate (brisket and pulled pork) with fries and coles slaw. Fries were the highlight of the meal. Hot, crispy, seasoned...awesome. Cole slaw was good....but it was super tangy (vinegary) for my taste. Don't get it wrong, it was good, just hard to eat all of it thanks to the tang. On to the meat. Got a pretty good sized pile of pulled pork and a couple slices of brisket. Both meats were lukewarm at best. Pork was dry (thank goodness for the NC vinegar sauce). The brisket made up for the porks dryness, it was extra greasy and extra fatty. Like, for real, do you think people are going to eat the fat layer between the lean point meat and the fatty upper meat? Yeah, not me. But since the brisket was also lukewarm (more like lukecold) it really didn't make a difference. I did think the Vision BBQ sauce tasted pretty good. If Brianna would have come back by after I got my meal I would have sent it back....and probably would have just left without worrying over a replacement, or a comp, or anything. Secondary issue: went to the mens room. It was just nasty. You get once shot to make an impression, and this one was not good. Would not/will not repeat.

Service was great, no brisket and I was really looking forward to that, the pulled pork was tender…read more& juicy. Wasn't impressed with the beans, but the coleslaw was good. And I liked their pickled onions.

Let me first start off by saying I'm from Houston, Texas...I'm a Texas girlie so I know my BBQ. Now…read morewith that being said this wasn't the worst food; but I wouldn't come back if I had to pay. The sides were amazing though, I must give them that. I had the Mac and Cheese, The green beans and one of the cooks let me try the greens that I happened to miss on the menu and they were all a 10/10!!! I mean they were AMAZING!! The sausage was good (a lil dry) and the brisket...baby I asked for fatty brisket (and I always have to tell ppl I mean the part you'd probably not eat lol, don't judge me) and I swear they gave me the driest leanest slices they could find lol. Now I love the variety of sauces that was dope although me being a Tx girlie "if I need sauce, that means it ain't smoked right or is lacking something" but that's just me. If you're not from the south (which my date ain't) you'd love this place!!! As for my southerners you'd enjoy the sides and the sweet tea. Oh and I tried my date's shredded chicken (another odd choice) and it tasted like baked bbq chicken...oh and the cornbread was dry as hell!! Tasty but like eating a biscuit from Popeyes But anyways the service was great!!! The sides were amazing but the actual bbq left a lot to be desired...again if you're not from the south I can see yall loving this spot.
