Sometimes it was okay, sometimes... well, let's just say hats became my best friend. Then I found KD. With that, I was greeted as soon as I walked into the establishment by one of the barbers. I did use the bathroom, which was nice and clean. There is ample lighting and space between stations. She completely salvaged my hair from a terrible cut I received a few months ago and did absolutely EVERYTHING I asked of her in terms of the new style. I'm as pleased with my hair as the cuts I've paid $40 more for, and Emily is as nice as they come. I'm shocked that she was able to bring my hair back from it's previous disaster stage in just one cut, and I feel like I owe her double what she charged me. The aforementioned coworker goes to her for cut and color and her hair is always adorable and the color looks really great. She's tough to book an appointment with, and she only works Wednesday-Saturdays, but if you're in Elmhurst and you want a bargain on a terrific haircut--it's worth the wait. * It looks a leeetle bit more like a barber shop than a salon (maybe because it's part barber shop!), but don't let outside appearances fool you!
