Nice interior w/ sort of a punk stoner vibe. It's a small shop, seating only three or four at a time as I recall, but the tall ceilings keep it from feeling claustrophobic. Not a great haircut sorry to say. The sides ended up patchy and uneven, with one side noticeably longer than the other. I hate leaving reviews like this because I don't want to affect someone's business. But for $35 before the tip, I'm expecting a competent haircut. read more

Where do I start? Found this place after being very unhappy with a lot the barbers and salons around this area. A quick google search led me to find this place rated one of the best barbershops in the western suburbs by Chicago Magazine. They were right. I was able to get a haircut appointment for the next day after making my appointment online. Arrived and quickly felt right at home. A two chair barbershop with youtube on two walls with the guys choosing random videos off the internet to watch. By no means did this mean my haircut was sub-par or without effort. Steve listened to my needs and what I wanted out of a cut and was able to give me exactly what I was looking for. Something not a lot of other professionals in the area can do. He also was a laugh out loud riot with humor and offered very insightful "life advice". A barbershop should be a place to go and get a cut, but more importantly kick back and chat with your newly found neighbors. This place turned out to be everything that description entails and more. After about a year of trying different places, I think I found the place where my ears will be lowered from now on. Definitely check this place out as you won't be disappointed in the way you look, but more importantly, the experience you get. read more

I made my appointment online with Breanne for a time when I'd be visiting family in Elmhurst. I popped in. She was right on time. Everyone was practicing safe covid practices. Cool decor in the shop. I showed her a couple of pics and gave a brief description. She hooked me up with a great high fade comb-over in 22 minutes, leaving 4 1/2 months of hair on the floor. The cool, music-centric decor reminds me of my former go-to, Irving Park Barbershop. The advantage here is online scheduling of appointments. Look, it's a very popular and busy place and you never really need a haircut all of a sudden, so plan ahead and schedule a cut on the day and time of your choosing. There's no need to show up and wait with a group of other dudes led on by the unrealistic estimated wait time of 10-20 minutes. It's not 2015 anymore! Great old school haircut with a modern take on a barbershop. A haircut from either Jay or Steve is going to be great. If you get to your appointment early to can even play one of the many guitars, drums or other assorted musical instruments the shop holds. The best part I've found about the appointments is the on-line schedule - you can book your entire appointment on-line and get it confirmed within minutes.
