This corner store is super convenient when I forget something at the supermarket or want a snack but don't want to drive to 7eleven. Today i finally decided to try their bacon egg and cheese sandwich. $5 morning special. It was actually pretty good and they give a generous amount of egg just right amount of cheese. The bacon was a little light but I liked it. I actually think it's better than some of the overpriced breakfast spot. Def give it a try! read more

Charges 25 cents for a plastic bag. This neighborhood market is for convenience. Produce is more expensive and sometimes not fresh. Grocery items are much higher too. There have been times there was mold on some ready to eat food items but you just have to check the date and inspect carefully before you buy. The deli guys are great. I always tip when they make me a sandwich. Here is why I gave him 2 stars and will try my best to never walk into that market again.... There is Nothing convenient about being charged 25 cents for a plastic bag after you select ready to eat items/produce. Makes you wonder how else they try to make a profit. Someone goes into your market to pick up ready made food, a couple of produce items and you try to charge 25 cents for a bag. Not 5 cents or 10 cents but you charge 25 cents for a plastic bag that isn't even recyclable, not earth friendly and won't even hold that much anyway. Not cool at all and you lost a customer. Paul's market is located on Aurburndale and very close to Long Island rail road . It's been there for long time may be more than 10 years and when ever I had to use Long Island rail road, I used to by some stuff from this market They do have most groceries and home needs appliances and some tool. Fresh produce department is not that big still it gets the job done . They carry quality brands and quality fresh produce. I never disappointed with the stuff I bought from this market. It's very convenience when you use rail road for to commute to the city. On the way back you get your stuff very easy. Not very crowded, most of the time they have 2 register open and you don't have to wait online . Only if the train has just arrived, you may experience some wait time but not much . Two register work bey fast to get the line down and help everyone on line. I hate it they do have minimum for credit card. That's the only negative thing about this Paul's market. Why minimum for credit card. What happens if I don't have cash on me . You want me to go some other market because the amount of the money I will spend is less . I love this place. Is great for locals. Is right below the aurbundale, LIRR. So you can drop off and buy some groceries. Everybody that usually buy groceries in another place buys here if you forget anything or you just want something quick to finish your cooking, this is the place to go. Very easy for so many houses. Credit card or debit card available for more than $10. No bathroom available. Ham and Cheese are fresh. They do offer beef and chicken fresh already ready to go. read more

It's a hit or miss with this place. Friendly service but low quality foods. I bought brown sugar the other day to make banana bread and by the time I got home, the brown sugar I purchased had expired 2 years ago!!!!!!! TWO!!!!! I can't believe they don't restock some of these items. I also bought a pack of cubed cheese and they were all moldy inside. The local corner store. What more do I need to say. They got a pretty good deli, only problem: they wrap the meat in paper, so the meat drys out in the fridge unless you put it in plastic bags. They got a $10 minimum on credit cards. Pretty standard prices for a corner store, overpriced, but this place doesn't fleece you too bad. Surprisingly fresh produce. Gets the job done for a bodega. Decent selection, prices aren't too bad on most things. Great for grabbing a quick drink before hopping on the LIRR to the city -- located steps from the Auburndale train stop. The deli is not bad. You can get a great cold hero there for less than $6. I wouldn't recommend too much of the food items (rice ball wasn't that good). If you're in the neighborhood and want something really quick, this is a good option. read more

I've been going to this spot since it was called Auburndale Market. When they first changed to Paul's, it was great. They had hot food buffet, great deli and the workers behind the deli were great. Now, they can't follow a simple order with no mayonnaise. Hero with salami, mortadella, provolone, lettuce and tomato. You want mayonnaise on that? No. Just lettuce and tomato. Open sandwich; mayonnaise on both sides of the bread. After saying NO MAYONNAISE, it was all over the sandwich. The person I bought it for despises mayonnaise and had to throw the whole sandwich out. Waste of money. Never buying sandwiches there, again. For a soda, Gatorade, even a bag of chips, fine, but the deli section is really lacking. Their breakfast sandwiches are pretty bad, too. They don't make their own bacon. They used that premise stuff, and don't really cook the eggs well enough. Just stay away from the deli section, and you'll be fine. read more

I used to like coming to this place but now that they have changed owners, this place is such a unsanitary deli. I will never go to that place or get anything from them ever again. If I could give them zero stars I will but they don't let me. There is so many things that they are bad with, I can start by first saying that the deli guys in the back, they are so dirty and be carful when they make your sandwiches.. specially the small skinny spanish guy .. they never wear glove, even after they touch or deal with the garbage .. they never wash their hands. Aside from being unsanitary.. those two guys in the deli are also rude to the customers and if you don't speak spanish be aware that they like to make fun of the customers in Spanish .. I know because I heard them talk about the customer. The quality of the food is horrible and be careful when you buy anything from the deli because once I got some macaroni from them and had mold. I have also seen flies and cockroaches by the food. This place was never like this before with the old owner and now with this new owner is such a dirty place to eat. I have told this problems to the owner and he just told me not to come back again and doesn't need my business. Both time that I got a sandwich from their .. both times I got sick and my daughter too!! An average deli with decent sandwiches and coffee in the morning. Nothing special here. The prices are fair but slightly overpriced but hey they need to make money too. This place is 24 hours and is very convenient for random groceries since this is a semi deli grocery market. The parking can be tough if you come during the wrong times. read more

I recently moved to the area a few months ago. I like this place their sandwiches are really good. The guys working the grill are super friendly and fast. I've never tried anything but their sandwiches and coffee. One thing I don't like is they stop using the grill at 11am. So no hot sandwiches after that which sucks. I dropped money in here once and unfortunately one of the guys who work in the back cutting the meat stole my money instead of giving it back. Not cool. I'll give him that one, now I'm super cautious when in here. I try to keep my visits at a minimum but still good sandwiches. read more

I've been going to Paul's Market for years now!! Great location, very clean & organized. They used to be open 24 hours. Now they close before 11 every night & their prices have gone up DRASTICALLY!! Prices have increased on every item sold in this establishment! No more free matches when purchasing cigarettes; they have a stand of chips that say "1/$0.75 or 2/$1" but charge 2 for $1.50. It may seem like no big deal but it's happening on every item in every isle. All prices on all items have increased whether it be a 50 cents or $1 increase or even more. According to the staff, prices have raised, not because of shop lifting or a raise of taxes, or in the price of the products sold, or even a raise in rent, but because they close early & need to make up for all they are losing daily from closing earlier. According to near by residents, they have also stopped shopping here in hopes Paul's Market will stop take advantage of every one in the community who stops by to make purchases daily. I used to visit Paul's Market daily. I've spent thousands and thousands of dollars at Paul's Market until they started taking advantage of me & the money i work hard over 40 hour weeks to make. With the exception of the drastic increase in price of all good sold here, the staff is very nice & they are very clean & organized. I also loved that they had a tremendous variety of products!!
