I adore this little place! There is a sign on the door that states the tables are reserved for paying customers, which I think is a totally reasonable ask!! There was a woman who disagreed with that and despite her being extremely rude all the staff handled it with grace but also didn't let her just get her way because she was causing a scene. The staff are extremely attentive without being overbearing. The sandwich was incredible and the drink was smooth. There's plenty of seating inside and even though it was a busy afternoon I was able to snag a small table that I could eat and work at. If I'm in this area again I will gladly stop here for a bit! read more

I am not from the area, but my dentist is located in Wilton. I was in need of some caffeine and breakfast after my early dentist appointment. I am glad I stumbled upon Café Dolce. The chai tea was incredible. It is not that fake syrup thing other bigger companies use. I also got a croissant filled with spinach and cheese. I forgot exactly what cheese it was, but it was honestly the best croissant I've had in a while. If you like savory croissants, I will recommend that one. Cute place in an unassuming small shopping center near the Merritt Parkway. Excellent service, coffee and food! Purchased an almond latte and a coconut latte - both were hot and delicious! Had a ham egg and cheese breakfast sandwich (panini?) along with an almond croissant, blueberry muffin, and a piece of apple cake (seasonal item) and all were fresh and delicious! No greeting just a dead stare. The older guy with the accent & glasses taking orders was rude! He clearly doesn't know customer service but he is in the business of customer service. The music is blasting high and he couldn't hear my order. Dude lower the freaking music volume down and have a better tone when speaking to paying customers. I was in the area on a Family Food Adventure away from home, and I Yelp-searched to see if there were any noteworthy coffee places to visit. Cafe Dolce certainly fit the bill. I ordered a black iced coffee. It was smooth and rich. Perhaps a South American or Central American-based blend. It was very well executed. A cut above for coffee places that served this style of iced coffee. It was also reasonably priced, which I'm paying more attention to as I've noticed many places are charging coffee drink prices for their least expensive black cold coffee option. Cheers to Cafe Dolce for being reasonable. I took my coffee to go, but I observed a thriving inside and outside dining/drinking area. I didn't order food, but the desserts and pastries I observed looked top notch for a coffee place. Cafe Dolce has earned my recommendation. Five Stars. read more

This is the best bakery I know of around Connecticut. We are so blessed to have this European bakery so close. On weekends, they offer wonderful strudels - cheese, apple and others. Love everything they offer. Hope they keep going strong for years to come. read more

Great breakfast, brunch and lunch spot. The food is phenomenal. I had the bacon egg and cheese breakfast croissant and it was perfect. The blueberry muffin was light and fluffy with a crunchy top. My only issue is it's a very small space with a long community style table and a few smaller tables and a counter or two. I can't remember. If you like quiet, intimate meals this is not the place for you. I don't really like sitting at a community table but the quality of the food more than made up for the lack of intimacy. We visit our daughter and her husband at least once a month and this will definitely be our breakfast place whether we eat it there or take it out. read more

I've sent my husband here a few times over the years for their baked goods, but finally dropped in the other day for lunch with a friend. The desserts are some of the best in Norwalk. I'm very picky when it comes to my desserts and Cafe Dolce's desserts are always a family favorite. This week I tried their spinach and feta crepe and really enjoyed it as well. The interior is small but welcoming. Although we sat at a large family style table and there were others sitting next to us, we still felt comfortable and not crowded. Haven't been since Covid and met a friend for breakfast. She had the oatmeal bowl which was both beautiful to look at and a good size. Her decaf latte with oat milk was also good. I had a cappuccino with a wonderful peach jam pastry. Everything was terrific and no issues with service as they let us linger. I did notice some prices on breakfast items seemed high, like for avocado toast - but I have no idea how it was prepared or the size of the portion. I recently visited Cafe Dolce and it was really good. I had an iced coffee and though it was a small, the size was large and the iced coffee was delicious. I would have given 5 stars but if you only order a coffee you have to sit at the bar and are not allowed to sit at a regular table or outside. Considering this is a cafe, I think that is ridiculous especially because most of the tables were empty even though it was lunchtime. Delicious, even if expensive. Loved the cheese puff but $1.61 for two airy bites of pastry was hard to swallow. Place was packed! For good reason! The hot cocoa was incredible, as was the choco croissant, the hamantaschen (prune!) and the lovely omelette. Cukrászda! I went here because I miss the Hungarian desserts I used to eat with my grandma when I grew up in Hungary and someone recommended this place. The food was great and so was the service. The dessert was great but didn't taste like the real Hungarian desserts I'm used to. But I would still recommend this place. Anyways, he brings out the coffee, im sitting at one of the many empty tables...and proceeds to see me and put the coffee next to the door at the opposite side of the shop....like, tell me to gtfo without telling me to gtfo lol. Then he said he wanted to keep the tables open for people dining in...mind you at the time there were many tables open, and a complete empty bar by the window with like 10 empty chairs.
