Vada Pav
Harish J.

This place was a good find to satisfy my vada pav craving. The pav, vada and chutneys all came together really well with good simple flavors. I also got the pav bhaji (regular) which was good but on the spicier side for me. The service was friendly/efficient and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the premises were clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There's a fair bit of street and lot parking making it convenient.

Amul Pav Bhaji

Very authentic Indian street food from Mumbai, with flavors and taste on point. I'd describe this place as a 'hidden gem'. I only discovered it since I happened to stop by in the area. Beats most Indian restaurants in the Bay Area. Outdoor seating under umbrellas is a vibe. In case you're cold in the chillier months, just sip on a chai. Service is very fast. Cash and card payments accepted, 8% discount on cash payments. Menu has 3 main items - Pav Bhaji, Vada Pav, and Dabeli. Order the non spicy Pav Bhaji to start with - it has got some fire to it already. Re: went here again and ordered the same things as last time. The chai was exceptional, not sure what it's made of - but it is one of the best ones I have had, and highly recommend it. P.S. drive in slowly from the parking side (not gas station side), saw many cars hitting their front bumper on the road because there's a slight dip.

Food Quality: **** (Rich, flavorful, and satisfying) Service: **** (Quick and efficient for a food truck) [[HIGHLIGHT]]Setting: *** (Street food setup, parking can be tough)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Cost: **** (Great value for what you get) I finally tried Pav Bhaji for the first time, and I have to say--this was a pleasant surprise. I don't usually go for vegetarian street food, but this dish was packed with bold flavors, buttery richness, and just the right amount of spice. The chutneys and sauces really elevated the dish, adding layers of tangy, spicy, and sweet elements that kept every bite interesting. The food truck experience was smooth--the service wasn't the fastest or the slowest. However, parking was a little tricky, which is expected when grabbing street food in a busy area. The portion size was pretty decent, and I definitely left feeling full. Now, I will say that it didn't sit too well with my stomach later--but I think that's more about me not being used to it rather than anything wrong with the food itself. It tasted amazing in the moment, so I can't knock it for that. Would I eat it again? Yes, but maybe something else next time.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice, clean, and well-organized food trick serving Mumbai street food favorites like Vada Pav, Pav Bhaji, and more (pun not intended)![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My wife and I were among their first customers when they opened a few years ago and for a while we were even regulars, often going there when we craved Vada Pav. Even my 7 year old likes their Vada Pav. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Their food is consistent, served hot, and they even have some shaded seating area if you want to sit and dine on site instead of taking your food to go.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] On my recent visit, I enjoyed their Dilkhush Dabheli more than the Vada Pav. But my favorite here is their unique crowd puller 'Amruttulya Chai' - a special masala tea, that's sweet, milky, and made with spices that give it a unique aroma and flavor!

So this truck popped up in my recommendation right when my wife was craving for pav bhaji :D So naturally we decided to drive 30 mins to try it out. We ordered the Spicy Amul Pav bhaji, Dadar Vada pav and Masala vada pav. They have a few covered tables next to the truck. We were able to find a table. I have tried quite a few vada pav around the bay and the Masala Vada pav here was very unique and tasty. The Dadar vada pav reminded me of back home where they give you some "chura" along with the vada pav. Pav bhaji was flavorful as well and not too spicy. My 3 year old liked it as well. The service was fast and the owner was very friendly. Will definitely be back for more :)

I'm not like other girls. I know what I want for dinner. I've been thinking about it since lunch and in this case since a week in advance . I have heard from a friend about this place and when we decided to come to San Jose we knew what we wanted to eat even before the trip started . It's a small food truck and they have some covered seating under a tent but what they lack in terms of ambience they make up for it in taste . The food tastes as authentic as one would get from the street vendors/shops in India and is also priced reasonably . We tried the Pav Bhaji , Multiple types of Vada Pav and Dabeli as well as Chai and I was blown away by the taste . Just the right amount of spice and heat and plenty of flavors . The chai was as authentic as you get at Indian homes and none of that sugary crap . Can`t recommend them enough .

Vada Pav

It's a food truck with few items on the menu which they know they are good at and are sticking to that. We tried the vada pav and the amul pav bhaji, both were great. Definitely recommend if you are craving for pav bhaji in the area.

Spicy Pav Bhaji Masala Vada Pav

Second review to confirm that their masala vada pav is legit delicious albeit will burn your tongue. If you have a penchant for spicy food, you won't be disappointed. The masala on the pav is truly an innovative take on elevating the flavor with every bite--something most restaurants would disregard as just "sides". But not pav bhaji and more. And their chai is the perfect accompaniment--loaded with ginger and cardamom perhaps. Giving this place a 10/10 for their masala vada pav, prompt service, and no frills ambiance.

Just discovered this food truck when I was in mtv. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Even as you drive up, park and go pick up your order, you're struck by how clean it is. Yes it's new and all, but so clean, it sets new standards for food trucks, esp desi trucks![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ordered vada pav and dabeli and chai. The dabeli and vada pav were awesome. Not overly oily. Correct flavor balance and spices. The busted chilly was mmmmm so good! Chai... I wish I'd picked up a cpl more. Gosh so good, and I love it has a super focused and limited menu. Very Bombay style street food. It reminded me of law garden evening food stalls in Ahmedabad! I know I'm gonna crave for this place now!!

We got to try this food truck at last

Clean, decent and with a variety of Vada Pav and Pav Bhaji options, no wonder this food truck is talked about so much And of course they also serve Dabheli and Puneri Chaha! We brought a to-go this time Next time we will have there itself !

We had heard about about this place but never got the chance to check it out... thanks to the Yelp Events we got to interact with so many foodies few of them suggested this place ( thanks Bindi S for the recommendation) . It's situated near the gas station there are few parking space inside the gas station & some street parking too but please park at the designated area otherwise it's a traffic obstruction... so please be careful. They have many options in Vada Pav as per ur taste & few Pav Bhaji choices. We ordered - Amul Pav Bhaji - Our authentic Amul Pav Bhaji is a thick vegetable curry topped with dollop of Amul butter ( it's popular brand of butter sold in India) and served with onion, lime, cilantro salad on side along with Masala Pav (Bread). Our Masala Pav is toasted in Amul butter, special spice mix and cilantro. Vada Pav - Our Authentic Vada Pav served with Garlic Chutney and busted salted Green Chili. Dilkhush Dabeli - Our Authentic Mumbai style Kutchi dabeli is a perfect combination of sweet and spicy taste. It contains a mixture of potatoes and chef special dabeli masala coated with tamarind and garlic chutneys loaded in Pav (Bread). This Dabeli is garnished with peanuts, pomegranate/seasonal fruit and fine shev. Basically dabeli is a spicy, tangy and sweet potato filling inside a bun - more specifically the Indian bun - called as pav, drizzled with a spicy and sweet chutney and some pomegranate, grapes, onions and sev (fried gram flour vermicelli). Its a very popular street snack and can be easily found in Mumbai , Gujarat & other parts of India. We liked all the dishes, they were non spicy as per our preference , flavors were very close to what we get in India after all it's a street food... only thing is I was not too sure about the Pav Bhaji color since it was not red which I am use too but still it was nice... We also had tea after a long time... it was masala tea which was good. Will love to come here again with friends & enjoy this food. When the street food is made fresh & hot the taste is completely different.

Dadar Vada Pav
Vamika K.

This place serves you Mumbai style Vada Pav in Sunnyvale. They serve it with besan dry masala and two chutneys, which is exactly how it is served in Mumbai stalls/ Redi. Pav Bhaji is spice level is extremely high, so one has to pick their option wisely. Masala pav was toasted well with butter and was worth repeating. Chaas is must if you are having Spicy Pav Bhaji.

Dilkhush Dabeli (Toasted in Amul Butter)
Apoorva R.

This place recently opened up and have good vegetarian food. The cuisine is Maharashtrian street good including pav bhaji, dabeli and a variety of vada pav's. They have very limited seating under shade and it gets filled up pretty quickly on a busy day. I recommend trying the pav bhaji and dadar vada pav. The taste is on the spicier side. Dabeli was good too but it was sweet like usually how dabeli's are. But overall the taste for everything was spot on.

I had a really nice chat with one of the owners there and they all seem like really lovely people--kind hearted with little kids around so hopefully they stay around for some time! They were still redoing the front of house so not sure when they will open fully but looking forward to trying more Azerbaijan food. Since I've never had Azerbaijan food before, I asked for a recommendation and he said all of the food is good but did say that the chicken shawarma was big and I was feeling a bit hungry so went with that. It came with fries and some peppers, which reminded me of banana peppers. Not spicy with a briney taste to it, great accompaniment. He also tossed in this yogurt drink (I didn't get the name) that was tasty. Overall, good food and will be back to try their lamb kebabs and the burger as well and interested to see what their pizzas will be like as well. Btw, it's in a small parking lot next to a restaurant, and you should have parking spots at the back. There always seems to be a decent crowd occupying the tables near the food truck.

But, it's widely consumed by vegetarians these days as an alternative to meat due to its meat like texture. I had some really outstanding soy chaap from a place in Fremont and haven't been able to find anything else that comes close to it. The version here though decent fell short on the flavor. The smoky aftertaste was kind of missing. The chow mein on the other hand was beautifully done. I can see why this place is rated so high.

They have interesting dishes with paneer and chicken as well. We ordered two dishes- Leela lasun keema - This dish was intriguing, with cheese, grated egg, and a rich, spicy gravy. The portion size was generous; a single person won't be able to finish it with just three breads. It was very filling, we took back home the leftover and enjoyed it later with some rotis. They have another version of this- "kachu" with runny eggs instead of grated eggs.. well thought option! Volcano egg biryani- The dish is as interesting as its name suggests. The base is an omelette, and the rice is flavorful with bell peppers, finely chopped veggies, and aromatic spices. The center is with a tomato-based curry. The cheese on the side was amazing, and I loved it. The spicy guava drink is super refreshing with a playful mix of spice, salt, sourness, and the sweetness of guava. I really enjoyed it! They have music playing and the place is lit, creating a total vibe for spending time in the evening on a lazy weekend/ after work, or post-workout. The food is pure indulgence and covered our protein requirements with eggs, along with some fat to burn off. Kinda guilt free. Also, they have games, garba events and other many interesting things going on at different times. Superb vibes, never disappoints! Conveniently located in Sunnyvale - easy to find parking.
