The only reason you eat here is if you are a student and you can't get to a better place…read more Seriously, the food here is alright, but the employees can be quite difficult to handle. Some of them are friendly, but some of them will hold you captive while they explain how America is doomed because of something going on in Iran. They have slow service, and some of their food options are kinda confusing. For example, for some reason they seem to bake their burritos, which is weird. burritos are not hard, either steam the shell and just stuff em, or leave them and stuff them. Their breakfast sandwiches are ok, but I mean, how do you mess up breakfast sandwiches? Also, it is so costly. I just bought a burger that cost me 5.50, I thought it was going to be with sides or something but it wasn't. That's an expensive burger, especially considering it could be on a dollar menu elsewhere. Their cape cod sandwich, which actually does taste good, is another 6 dollar sandwich, and lets be honest, I could get some thing better for cheaper from a sub shop. They bought the bread on the cheap and then added chicken salad to it- what kind of overhead expenses must these guys have that they must charge that much? It's not crazy expensive, it's just not appropriate for what they put out. They depend on students being held captive to buy their stuff. The building its self is actually really nice and just was renovated, there is a fireplace and plenty of seating. It's just a shame that it's not a better food service to highlight the looks of the place. And once again, the staff gets in the way. I moved a chair over to the fireplace one day to soak up the heat because I was cold, and this employee comes over and reaches in front of me to grab the remote and turns off the fire. I mean, it's quite obvious I was there, I had to move a chair over there so it didn't look like I just happened to be sitting next to the fire. CURSE YOU EMPLOYEE! I go here with some frequency, but usually I just grab their sandwiches (which are ok, their cape cod is pretty good) to go and hope I don't get into a confrontation with the staff about being a Seahawks fan. If you have a choice, just go somewhere else.

Most of the food is pretty good and I'm not sure where they get there egg salad sandwiches from but those things are addicting. There's daily specials and limited time offer meals available. I do wish there were some more vegetarian options. It's wicked busy here from 12-1 since most programs are out of class during that time. If you're a student loading flex dollars on your id is worth it as you don't pay tax on tour food.

The…read morehomemade corned beef hash is the star of the plate: big chunks of corned beef and potatoes, crispy on the outside, tender inside, and super flavorful without being greasy. You can taste that it's made from scratch, not scooped out of a can. The blueberry pancake is everything you want from a Maine diner--loaded with berries, golden on the edges, and fluffy in the middle. It's one of those pancakes you tell yourself you'll share, then somehow you don't. The fiddlehead omelet is such a fun local twist, with the fiddleheads adding a tender, slightly earthy bite that makes the whole thing feel special and seasonal. Service is friendly and efficient, even when they're slammed, and the whole place has that busy, waterfront, "locals and tourists together" vibe. Expect a wait, especially at prime breakfast hours, but the homemade corned beef hash, blueberry pancake, and fiddlehead omelet make it more than worth it.

We visited around 10 a.m. on a Sunday and had about a 35-minute wait, which wasn't surprising for a busy weekend morning. The prices are on the higher side for a diner. My veggie omelette was $21, and while it was good, the home fries were just average. We also ordered the lobster omelette for $35. Although it's pricey, it came with a generous portion of lobster, which helped justify the cost. One thing to note is that there's also a 3% kitchen fee added to the bill, so keep that in mind.

The lemon sole (fish) and octopus carpaccio (not pictured) were filled with flavor! The pork belly was very underwhelming and I would not order again. The waiter said 2-4 plates per person. I recommend starting on the lower end and adding additional dishes based on how you're feeling. The amount of food was very different from dish to dish. For example the tuna dip had way too much bread and the pork belly was very small in size. Overall I was half impressed. I wish the staff would take a moment to announce the plate as it's placed next to you or point it out on the menu for those hard of hearing and wanting to know what they are about to enjoy. However the music, overall restaurant vibe and half the dishes exploding with flavor made my experience pleasant and I will return again knowing a bit more of what to expect and looking at photos of the menu/meal options beforehand.

Once you are seated, you're handed a paper menu on which you mark your selections, then bring that marked-up menu to the counter, where you order and get a number. Food is brought up to you, and you can order subsequent rounds of food by crossing out previous orders and marking up the menu anew. I would highly recommend multiple rounds of oysters -- the first to try one of each and figure out which varieties you prefer, the second to get more of the ones you like, and the last to go all in on your favorite. They've got a varied selection that will suit various tastes, whether you favor a large creamy oyster, a small briny guy, or somewhere in between. All from Maine, which made me feel better about having oysters in a non-ber month. The oysters here are top notch, and the shuckers are, too. Not a single speck of shell in there! I love oysters, and this was my paradise. The non oyster items are also worth trying, so if you have a friend who isn't into oysters, there's something here for them, too. The smoked fish dip and french onion dip are awesome, and the chips they get from another local producer are fantastic. Whether you're a beer lover, a wine person, or a cocktailer, they've got something for you here. Any of those could be the perfect company for your favorite oyster, or you could go for their cucumber mint lemonade slushy, which is insanely refreshing and a great palate cleanser between oysters. Service is efficient, welcoming, and friendly. I think anyone from an oyster novice to an aficionado would feel right at home here. If I didn't live on the opposite side of the country, I'd be here all the time. Unfortunately for me, I'm relegated to pining for these oysters from a distance. If you live nearby, take advantage of your proximity and eat some oysters for me.

For being in the middle of the day on a Saturday, I was actually surprised it wasn't busier; however, with a starving kid it was a blessing. Service was quick and kind, but not overly frilly. The staff were pleasant and incredibly accommodating with my son (offering coloring books if he needed to be kept busy, etc). I loved the location, and the ambiance was stellar. I would love to come back as a date night so I could actually take in the space and really enjoy look over the options, rather than a quick glance so that we could keep our afternoon rolling. I got a chicken sandwich and my husband and son both got cheeseburgers. We split a large fry which was plenty for the three of us. Portions were reasonably sized for the price, and the dirty sauce I got on the side was delicious! The house-made soda was also delightful and refreshing. So, a 3 star is great for the the fact that I didn't really take my time to truly take it all in. But I definitely look forward to coming back and really soaking it all in

The ambiance is a classic burger joint: music, loud chatter, etc, but it's perfect for the vibe. Our waiter was attentive, though not overbearing. The food was delicious. I got the crispy chicken sandwich and my wife got the cowboy burger. The buns on both were the star of the show, for us. Clearly handmade in the back, soft and chewy, yet sturdy enough to handle a hefty burger and sandwich. We also got the loaded fries, which were alright. For the price, I don't know if I'd recommend them again, just go with the regular fries. The texture of the fries was perfect, but the pickled onion/ground beef combination was not my favorite.
