When my name was called, I grabbed the to go container my sandwich was in, some napkins and I was on my way to sit at a picnic table outside. I put my coffee, the sandwich and my bag in my car and headed back inside for a fork. I didn't realize the sandwich had only egg whites, which made the whole situation very watery. Decided to try this place today because I drive by it every week and love interesting takes on regular food, but I was not impressed with the food and especially the service. The person running the register where you order was very unfriendly. The system forced me to leave a tip (which I always tip 20-30% at a restaurant but not for quick service counter pick up places and especially when I'm pouring my own coffee) and displayed it on a huge screen for everyone to see. It actually declined my card the first time when I selected no tip. I ordered the seasonal breakfast sandwich and a small hot coffee, and it was over $17 after the tip. I went to fill my coffee and both the flavors I wanted were empty. I told the employee who took my order and she just said "uh huh" and never replenished them, so I was standing there with a half cup of coffee waiting for my food and in the time I waited she never brought out new coffee, so I had to dump mine in the trash and pick another one I didn't really want. [[HIGHLIGHT]]During this time, I watched another customer have an equally as uncomfortable experience ordering their food and it just made the entire environment awkward to be in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Then my food came out and I thanked the person in the kitchen who handed it to me and they didn't say a single word to me, just gave me a side eye and turned around. Once I sat down to eat, the breakfast sandwich was so sloppy and messy it has all fallen apart in the container. I tried to pick it up to take a bite and all of the contents just spilled out into the box. The flavor was decent, but I definitely won't be spending that kind of money here again especially when the process of ordering and getting my food felt so unwelcoming. I work in customer service so I know it's a hard job but if you don't want to be friendly to friendly customers, you need to find something else to do for work. Upon opening the container I was very taken back by the size of this biscuit sandwich. I am a big person and I could not fit this thing in my mouth to get a bite.
