Johnny Cash - chicken fried steak breakfast

This place is special! We visit often, and the food and service are always awesome. True friendly neighborhood diner vibe that makes everyone feel like family. The food is truly at a high level. The prices are a bit above standard, but well worth the cost.

What a fun place! Quaint old school diner with decent food and friendly staff. We enjoyed our food. If you're claustrophobic you'll want to use the outside seating. It is unbelievably tight in there. We pretty much had to get up close and personal with the folks at the counter just to get to and from our booth.

Got seated for a table of 3 right away on a Friday for lunch by the kind host. They have large windows that open and allow lots of fresh air in. We were feeling pretty full from a weekend of eating so we shared all of our dishes. I got their Bowdoin bowl with a side of gravy. The tots were crispy and so all the veggies on top were perfect for it. The biggest improvement could have been the "poached" egg that was really overcooked in a cupcake tin. Miss B's was a good amount of food and prepared well. The side of avocado was a store-bought more watery version than I am used to seeing. The Demi salad was very simple and plain. The cornbeef hash was seasoned well but could have benefited from more of a char. Overall, this is a good classic diner vibe that I imagine has not changed much over multiple decades. Staff were super friendly and as efficient as they could be given the tight quarters. Would come again.

Our family was in the area on vacation. We love pancakes and these are the best we've had anywhere! With those tiny sweet Maine blueberries too. So good we went twice during our stay! It's an old school classic diner with a jukebox and diner classics with a twist. The owner is out front with customers and is a true delight. Great coffee too!We will definitely come back on our next visit!

What a great find! Usually, I don't go out to eat in an area I'm not familiar with without consulting Yelp. But on this occasion, we both decided to stop for breakfast at the first appealing-looking place we encountered on the way to our destination. The Brunswick Diner caught our eye--it's hard to miss--and in we pulled (after pulling a 'u-ey' because we missed the entrance to the parking lot initially). We were happy we did. After the fact I learned that Brunswick Diner has a solid 3.8-star rating on Yelp, and I'm not surprised.  This place has 'a look' -- a combination of old-school diner meets 50's soda fountain meets a classic Maine lobster pound. Not sure if that's what they were going for, but that's what I took away.  They have outdoor seating in the summer, which looks very inviting, and indoor seating (booths and a counter). We opted for the counter because there was no wait.  They were super busy when we were there this Sunday morning, but I bet that's usually the case. Despite being slammed, the staff--starting with the hostess who's stationed outside as you enter the outdoor seating area from the parking lot--was super friendly and pleasant, as well as attentive to our needs. She had the Miss B's--two eggs you like with bacon and home fries. There's nothing special about this dish--it's typical American breakfast fare--but it arrived exactly as she wanted it (eggs over easy, bacon not too crispy, home fries, and toast).  I had the Sinatra -- homemade beef brisket hash, two eggs as you like, home fries, and toast (I opted for the grilled homemade biscuit upgrade). My hash was delicious but a little bland, honestly. There were no onions, garlic, or potatoes in the hash that I could taste--just the meat. And it was ground a little too finely for my taste. Typically, a homemade hash is on the course side. (I'm NOT suggesting it wasn't homemade. I'm only saying I prefer the coarser grind and some add-ins that I've come to expect in a homemade hash.) All in all, we were pleased with our choice and would stop here again if we were ever in the area and were looking for breakfast or lunch.

There's a reason we keep coming back - the food and service. The ambiance is ok. Basic tables and chairs and some "circus" type of decorations on the wall. They have hot and cold deli sandwiches available. They also have wedge fries that are oven baked. Family favorites; Sonny's Supreme and the classic italian. I also also love their breakfast sandwich options. They have a cooler of beverages. My favorite is Fresca. A soda I never have at home and I soda I always buy when I can at a deli. Pairs perfectly. Don't sleep on the sweets for sale by the register. The cookies and whoopie pies are usally tasty. The staff seems consistent - hardworking, customer service oriented and nice to interact with. They keep the simple dining area as clean as they are able - during the lunch hours during the week - this place is always packed!!! Wow...it's great to see and hope this means this buiness will stay around for years to come. Parking - many parking options within .5 mile from the location. We still visit here and we still recommend it to family and friends.

It was warm, silky, lightly sweet, and honestly one of the most thoughtful, dialed‑in drinks I've had anywhere. You can tell when someone really knows their craft, and she absolutely does. We also grabbed the curried chicken sandwich, which was fresh, flavorful, and the perfect balance of creamy and bright. It's the kind of sandwich that makes you pause mid‑bite and go, "Wait... this is really good." The whole place has that cozy‑local‑favorite energy -- friendly staff, great food, and the kind of coffee that makes you want to reroute your trip just to come back again. You order at counter and food is brought to your table. The food was delicious and portions were generous. Atmosphere keeps the conversation and eyes going. Very clever and fun. Even the dishware was fun. Second trip we decided to try the high tea service. A menu of assorted teas and a prefixed food menu. My daughter made reservations and prepaid for our lunch ahead of time. We discussed price point and we believed it to be $48 a couple because who goes to tea alone? Turns out it was $41 per person. This is steep for lunch especially considering what it includes. Tea, a tower of treats; this works out to be 2- half sandwiches each (chicken and cucumber and whipped feta) a very small egg salad on 2-3 bite croissant, a scone with fixings and about 2-3 quarter sized macarons per person. This is very not nearly as generous as their daily menu portions. We had a reserved table and a waitress took our tea order from the table and delivered all items to the table except any napkins or utensils. We still needed to go get them from a centrally located area for diners. Our waitress was very sweet but obviously inexperienced and wasn't clear on how the high tea worked and it took about 40 minutes just to get the tea. Most disappointing was the bread. It was very dry and crumbly so sandwiches were falling or crumbling apart as we ate them. So as far as value is concerned, the high tea was not a good value in my opinion.

I looked up at the built in fans/vents in the ceiling and noticed they were filthy. I was afraid if I had asked for air to be turned on, that dust would have shot onto people's food! There was also a situation where the man behind the register needed a choice made by an elderly customer that had already taken a seat. She shouted out the answer to his question and he responded rather loud and rudely for her to "Next time come to the counter! I don't like yelling across the room!"
