I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Leslie, Dulce, Lindsey, and the entire team here at Paw Chi. They are miracle workers here on earth. Incredibly intuitive and knowledgeable, they gave my baby boy so much more extra time, at a good quality. They saved him and they saved me, and they gave us enough time together to transition gracefully. I thought that my 14yr old dog was at the end of his rope when we found Paw Chi, and they brought him back for many more months, and were able to give him so much more joy and time. The improvements I saw were beyond drastic. An improved heart murmur, reversed beginning signs of kidney failure. So much more mobility, even his sundowning dementia improved with treatment. From the moment I walked into this homey office I knew I was in the right place. I was always greeted by a smiling friendly face when my dogs and I walked in. Dr. Baldner and the vet tech Dulce were so great with both of my dogs. One of my dogs was anxious by nature but she did great with all the ladies here. Dulce the vet tech has extraordinary skills and is so great at reading dog behavior. Dr. Baldner treated my dogs with acupuncture, cold laser and massage. Over time they became more relaxed during treatments and seemed to know it made them feel better. Both of my dogs were given supplements that I feel were quite beneficial. They maintained mobility and cognition until the time of their passing. My 16 year old Morkie, my best friend, wasn't acting like himself when I got home. I called the office and they got him right in. Unfortunately his heart murmur has worsened (Grade 6) and he was working hard to breathe (chf). The time had come for euthanasia. Dr. Baldner was incredibly empathetic and compassionate through all of this. I truly felt that every person in that office cared about me and my dogs! I'm not sure if I will get another dog because the loss of both of them 16 months apart was almost more than my heart could handle. I am so delighted to finally have found a Holistic Vet in the Placer area. I have never had a vet take so much time to fully explain everything and really show they care about your pet's health and well being. My old girl can be a bit nippy when scared and anxious and Dr. Baldner was so patient with her. I appreciate that so much. The staff here is amazing too, everyone is so nice and helpful. Dr. Baldner and her staff are some of the most uncaring and awful people I have come across in this industry. Dr. Baldner sent me an email gaslighting me after her staff (Lindsay) spoke to me in an incredibly unprofessional and condescending tone due to being late for my appointment. We had been waiting a month for my dog to be seen and I have a newborn at home that I am trying to juggle. Instead of being understanding and caring about my dog's discomfort, Lindsay told me that I would not be able to be seen that day as well as my dog would never be able to be seen in their practice because "no one is ever late to their first appointment". I can't say "THANK YOU" enough to Dr. Leslie and her wonderful staff. They are truly incredible and extremely knowledgeable! We have personally utilized Paw Chi Holistic for two very different chapters in our lives. One for our beloved dog Fig, who sadly passed away from cancer, and then for our new puppy Banjo (both Australian Shepards). Both cases are very different, and Dr. Leslie provided us with incredibly thorough, thoughtful, and passionate care each time. Appointments are never rushed, and you can tell Dr. Leslie wants to cover all topics/concerns/suggestions during your time together. Pricing is very reasonable, and supplements/products are well thought out before prescribing them. There is never any pressure to solely seek holistic care/options; which to me is important since I personally find a value in integrative care (using our traditional vet) when needed. If I could give more stars I would. What makes a clinic is the staff. Without that, you have nothing. The staff at Paw Chi is phenomenal. From the front desk (Haylee!), to the techs, to the most Amazing Dr Baldner. She always shows she cares about your fur child as much as you do. She is incredible. She helps in all situations and does everything she can to keep them comfortable through all their aliments. Yes I made a mistake and forgot my appointment.. my dog Edna is 15.5 years old an has a hard time.. I scheduled this appointment weeks ago and had a very stressful week .. I missed my appointment today and 15 min after the scheduled time she called me and was very cold and unfriendly.
