Jyl has a BIG SOUL! she is truly passionate about animals and I'm so pleased every time I speak with her, the amount of knowledge she shares and the kindness she shows. My little Bradley is always so happy to get his flea meds and physicals with her, he is always happy after the visit at Jyl's! I highly recommend her because she understands animals and their needs and not all medications are right for all dogs or cats etc that's why she has alternative holistic modalities that actually work. Like if Bradley feels anxious, she knows exactly how to calm him down and make him feel confident again! Thank you to her and her staff for being so essential to our fur babies.

I don't even know where to begin. Dr. Jyl's Mobile Vet Connection has been a lifesaver for my cat (Wilson) who was diagnosed with FHS a few years back. Other vets who treated him just kept medicating him without working on the root of the problem. While there are very limited resources as to why FHS occurs in cats, Dr. Jyl drilled down to every possible reason why my cat has FHS. FHS is extremely complicated and I was so excited to finally find a vet who is willing to go the extra mile to help my cat. Dr. Jyl spent 3 full hours with us on day one discussing her ideas and brainstorming less invasive ways to treat my cat. We started with allergy testing and found out that my cat is allergic to chicken and salmon. We tried many other remedies that she suggested and so many have worked! I love that Dr. Jyl thinks outside of the 'box' and makes the extra effort to help in every way she can. Her staff is also really great, especially Abby. My cat also suffers from severe anxiety and treating him can be a real challenge. Dr. Jyl and her staff roll out the red carpet for him when he visits and makes him feel comfortable during his appointments. I can't say enough about Dr. Jyl and her staff. If you are on the fence about which vet to choose - jump off and call Dr. Jyl! I promise, you won't be disappointed! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Jyl and her staff. Her and her staff are VERY knowledgeable and caring. I have to admit I am blown away by a couple of the negative reviews. Dr. Jyl and her staff work endless hours and truly care about people and their pets. If I have a question during off hours, I email her and she always responds back to me even if it is 2 am in the morning! She's really amazing! Dr. Jyl and staff - Thank you for all that you do for my cat Wilson. He thanks you and so do I!

They have a great mobile app that makes communication and appointment management very convenient. However, that changed when I requested an estimate for a dental cleaning for our 6-year-old Yorkie. The procedure was long overdue, and I understood there was a possibility that some teeth might need to be extracted. The estimate I received was approximately $4,300 before any extractions, with additional charges of around $75 per tooth if extractions were needed. Having gone through similar procedures with other pets in the past, I was honestly shocked by the cost. I started researching alternatives and came across Crossroads Animal Hospital. Their reviews were overwhelmingly positive, and since they're close to my home, I decided to give them a call. They provided a very thorough estimate that included all the same important pre-op and post-op care, but the total cost was around $750, with extractions priced at about $25 per tooth. I transferred my dog's records and was able to get an appointment within just a couple of days. The entire experience exceeded my expectations. The staff was friendly, professional, and genuinely caring both on the phone and in person. Most importantly, our Yorkie's dental work turned out fantastic. His teeth looked amazing afterward, only one small tooth needed to be removed, and the bad dog breath that we'd been dealing with was completely gone. Finding a veterinarian you trust can be difficult, especially after moving to a new area. While VCA offers some convenient technology, I'll gladly choose Crossroads Animal Hospital for my pets' care going forward. They've earned my business through excellent service, quality care, and fair pricing.

Shortley afterward, she developed an ear problem caused by a foxtail, and I paid an additional $160 to have it removed. Two weeks later, I was told to bring her back for a recheck. I expected this to be a follow-up related to the treatment, but I was charged another $134. I was then told she would need to return every two weeks for additional ear checks, with a charge for each visit. I understand that that veterinary care is expensive and that clinics need to charge for their services, but I felt like the focus was more on generating additional fees then on my dog's care. Based on my experience, I do not feel comfortable returning to this place, and I would not recommend it to others.

I took him in a separate time today for an issue with his paw and the Dr.Monoja didn't even touch my dog to check for any sensitivity or to examine him. She took a quick glance and wanted to put him on pain meds and a topical ointment for 200. She had my partner show her his teeth and hold up his ears to examine . SHE IS A DR!!! Why do we have to hold his ear and open his mouth to examine his teeth? She just seems scared.she isn't hands on or even seems caring. I will be finding another vet. This was the first one I've been to here because I'm new to the area. I kept going but this was the last time. She seems terrified of my dog even when I reassured her he is not aggressive. Either way she shouldn't be afraid of animals. The staff behind the counter and the person that comes in before the vet does were super nice. Dr. Monoja however isn't very hands on with my dog and I didnt like that. I received a phone call from the manager Jess regarding my review in which I was told that I should have addressed these issues with the office directly instead of posting my review. I'm not looking to "ruin businesses" I post MY EXPERIENCES that is what yelp is for. I addressed the nail trim I just got an apology and was told I could put corn starch to stop the bleeding on his nail or come in so they can put some more of the powder stuff they put on it. I wasn't going to drive back and fourth for them to put the powder on his foot. This last time around there was nothing to address, I can't FORCE a Dr to be hands on with my dog or tell her how to do her job. All I can do is post my experience. Jess notified me that she discussed my review with the Dr and she said the reason why she didn't touch my dog is because "he seemed like he was in pain" when he was walking normal, running and playing like normal, I noticed his nails were irritated and that was the purpose of the visit. (it should be noted these visits are months apart) my dog wasn't crying or limping or showing signs of pain, the only thing he was showing is nerves HE HATES this hospital because like I said, they traumatized him with the nail trim. Since she didn't attempt to physically examine my pup my partner offered to show her a video of an up close view of the issue we noticed and she didn't care to watch the video. She doesn't really seem like she loves animals based on MY EXPERIENCES. My first visit he was excited, sniffing and now when we are there he try's to bolt out, he does not like it here. When I received the phone call today I thought they were following up to check on how my dog was doing. Instead it was because of my review. Jess was respectful and nice.

The entire team at Fair Oaks cares deeply about all animals and their owners. The vets are knowledgeable and patient and take time to explain things and help owners work through difficult decisions. They have supported end of life care and release for two of my pets. Dr. Lennon worked with me to help me make the best choice for my 18 year old cat when I wasn't sure if I was doing the right thing for her. My primary vets are Lennon, Kian, Linnet, and Woodson. All fantastic. Claudia at the front desk is a gem. Emily the vet tech is amazing. They all are. This is one of the most compassionate teams I've ever encountered. I am a terrible patient mom, when my pets are sick I become anxious aaaand often short and frustrated. I try not to, but it happens and the team still supports me and helps me get through it. In terms of pricing, I have found it to be very reasonable. They recently modified their dental and care plan options to make treatment more affordable and manageable. Estimates are always provided prior to treatment so you know what to plan for. Discounted pricing for cash payments, and they are speedy when providing information to insurance companies. When I can afford it I absolutely buy the team coffee for vet tech day (the WHOLE team) because they deserve it. I often hear people complain about the cost of vet care. I don't think folks understand the base costs of operating an animal hospital, from paying employees a livable wage (do you want the people caring for your animals having a chip on their shoulder because they can't afford rent?), insurance for the business, equipment and materials for lab, X-Ray, surgery, etc. etc., the cost of leasing the property and more than I'll list. It's incredibly expensive. Mercy Pet Hospital does its absolute best to keep costs down. I don't trust anyone else with my fur babies. If you have had a different experience with Mercy Pet Hospital Fair Oaks, I would give them a second chance.

He is compassionate, thorough, and genuinely cares about his patients. I've also had good experiences with one or two staff members, but unfortunately my interactions with much of the rest of the staff have been disappointing. My dog, Bodhi, had surgery at RAMC in July 2025 to remove several lumps. During surgery, Dr. Singh found another lump within the same incision site, removed it, and didn't charge me for the additional removal. I truly appreciated his thoughtfulness and care. At Bodhi's bandage removal appointment, a younger male technician handled the visit. I asked to stay with my dog, and he agreed. The bandage was adhered tightly, and although he initially used adhesive remover, he quickly became impatient and began ripping the bandage off. Bodhi was clearly uncomfortable, and I left wondering how he would have been treated if I hadn't been present. I returned in September 2025 for another FNA, and once again Dr. Singh was excellent. In early June, Bodhi needed another FNA. Because of my previous experience, I requested that the same technician not handle my dog. Dr. Singh understood my concerns and was very reassuring. A week later, Bodhi was diagnosed with lymphoma. After discussing my options, I initially considered less invasive treatment before deciding on palliative care. Dr. Singh had advised me to stop Apoquel because lymphoma was suspected, so Bodhi spent nearly two weeks suffering from severe itching while I weighed my options. I contacted the office to ask about Laverdia, an oral chemotherapy medication. I was told they had spoken with Dr. Singh, ordered the medication, and would contact me when it arrived. They also recommended seeing an oncologist, which was difficult because appointments and callbacks took several days. I never received a follow-up. After six days, I reached back out because I had no choice but to start Bodhi on prednisone due to his worsening itching and enlarging lymph nodes. In that same email, I also requested refills for his prednisone and gabapentin since I was only given a 22 day supply. Again, I received no response. Maybe they eventually would have answered if I had continued calling or emailing, but by then I had lost confidence in the staff. I was left wondering whether I would have made different treatment decisions had someone simply followed through with the communication they promised. Aside from one longtime veterinary technician, I also found the front desk staff to be cold during one of the hardest moments of my life. I wasn't expecting sympathy, but a few kind words would have meant a great deal. Dr. Singh is the reason this review is three stars instead of one. He treated Bodhi with compassion and treated me with empathy throughout this difficult process. Unfortunately, the lack of communication and follow-through from the rest of the staff overshadowed an otherwise positive experience. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt this one was important. When a family is facing the loss of a beloved pet, timely communication matters. I hope this feedback encourages RAMC to improve so other families don't experience the same frustration during such a difficult time.

I MENTIONED THIS CLEARLY TO EVERYONE I SPOKE TO. - Initial nurse was a total sweetheart, young and full of spirit - Doctor walked in jittery and sped up like she was trying to calm down from running - Speaking to me that way was super uncomfortable & condescending. When Doctor Susana Marshall DVM asked me about all the ways i was taking preventative measures for my pup, I knew that she had not reviewed any of the information that was gathered by her nurse receptionist on top of the eight years worth of health certifications and documents i brought in correct order since 2015. I told her I prefer to speak directly to the doctor not to waste time however Joan was confident she could help me. She couldn't infact help me & showed more interest in provoking a polite turbulence over the phone. Her energy is passive aggressive & instigative. She hung up on me without saying goodbye on our last chat which says a lot about a person's character, let alone a receptionist. I was calling to see if my second puppy was in danger from being around my first, since I wasn't told to keep them separated. But that one was infected? Overall, it was very cute to see his name on the welcome sign coming into the vet, but I would not recommend anyone supporting what's going on at this clinic. As I said on my last phone call with Joan, if I didn't hear from the doctor by the end of day, I would be opening a claim with my bank and that is exactly what I have done. They have 45 days to respond and I'm sure they will Not because they did the wrong thing and want to rectify - but because they want to avoid a negative chargeback score people! Businesses look really bad when they have chargebacks to banks so they will try to negotiate with you (the client) as if they didn't do anything wrong. They stand on very little morality and no humanitarian grounds. I will be filing for a full reimbursement. Ps. The eight years worth of medical records are completely out of order.
