I've been here twice and both times I haven't been impressed what-so-ever. First off, shot records. I've brought there shot records three times. Once when I made the first appointment, then they asked if I could bring them when I brought my two pups in, then they asked when I picked them up cause they didn't input them in the system, then when I made another appointment the next month, they asked me to bring the shot records AGAIN! pricing.... I have two mini schnauzers in which I usually trim every 3-4 weeks. In hawaii, I was paying 45 dollars for a bath, degland, ear cleaning and grooming per pup. Here I was charged 60 dollars per dog! I have no problem paying it, if I was getting 60 dollars worth of customer service. There seems to always be a scheduling conflict in this place. I dropped my two mini schnauzers off at 11 am on the dot as requested and I was told three hours, which is even a little slower then my Hawaii groomer but I thought whatever. I was told they'd be ready at 300-330, which is 4 to 4.5 hours later. I stopped by at 330 and they then told me another hour and then I wasn't called until 5pm! 6 hours after I dropped them off! End result, if you have an entire day to waste and want to overpay for mediocre service at best, this is the best pet salon for you. However, I wouldn't recommend this pet salon to anyone. P.S. I am logged on yelp just to make this post.

My dogs are about 30lbs - and she charges $55 for a full groom: bath, blow dry, hair cut, nails done, ears cleaned. Considering PetCo charges almost double for that (for 1 dog!) - I'm thrilled! Finally - they always make time for my girls, which is good because I rarely manage to make an appointment ahead of time. This is towards the groomers I went earlier to drop off my dog for a cleaning. We waited for 20…read moreminutes just to get checked in because the person at the check-in took 20 minutes, and probably longer, just to check in a small dog, making my pet restless from waiting and seeing all the people and dogs. The lady who checked me in was nice, and I had her last time, and she remembers my dog too; it only took me 2 minutes to check in. Though I wasn't given a time when my dog would be done, all they said was they would call when they were done, which could be an hour or two, but I wouldn't know. I have been to a groomer before, and they told me the time my dog would be done by, because if I was busy and I just found out I had to pick my dog up, I might end up picking my pet up late instead of giving me at least an estimated time frame so I know I should clear my schedule to be ready. When I picked my dog up, there wasn't really a wait besides when they put the leash on her, and they even gave my dog a bandana, and my pet even smelled good. She was very kind and explained a mix up regarding emails with the owner. No big deal; these things happen. I appreciated her apology. She did inform me that they do not train in the kind of scent work I am looking for, and she sadly doesn't know anyone near my location who does. My only suggestion would be for the owner, since they are the ones who receive the emails. It might be best to respond to the customer in an email and state something to the effect of, "Colonial K9 has received your request and we will be forwarding your message to the respective trainer. Please let us know if a trainer has not gotten in contact with you in the next 48/72 hours." This way the customer knows their email has been seen and read. Otherwise, the customer feels their request wasn't taken seriously. Additionally, a reminder message or task could be created within the Microsoft 360 platform and be sent to the trainers. Just some ideas to help the customers and trainer so a customer isn't lost due to mistakes. Thank you again for the apology. It is appreciated. The owner will review the email and either respond personally, or the owner will send the email to the respective trainer. I thanked the person who I spoke with and promptly sent an email detailing my dog training needs. By 15MAY2024, I still hadn't received a response from Colonial K9. As a result, I sent another email and stated; "I am following up from my attached email as I have not received a response. If you are unable to help us, it's understandable. I would appreciate it if you could give us a referral on a trainer who can help." As of today, 24MAY2024, I have yet to receive a response. I am not sure where the disconnect is. All I want to do is find a solid trainer to continue with scent work training. I guess Colonial K9 isn't interested in assisting. Copy that!
