First of…read moreall, Dr. Phillips Community Park sits on a small lake so it has a pretty view when you drive up. There is no swimming in the lake allowed however because of wildlife. Near the lake, there is a large playground for kids. It has slides, swings, and climbing structures. It's gated which is nice for the kids' safety (but parents/caregivers should still watch their kids!). They also have a splash pad next to the playground. In addition to the playground, there are lots of sidewalks all around to walk on. It's perfect if you want to get those steps in. There is a basketball court, sand volleyball court, dog park, and picnic tables. I saw a sign for occasional community events as well on the bulletin board near the bathrooms. We would love to come back to this park again when in the Dr. Phillips area of town!

If you don't run, that's ok as lots of people come to walk or sit by the water( I enjoyed the water and ducks as well). There are two playgrounds for the little ones , one is covered for the smaller kids with plenty of benches . There are soccer fields and baseball fields which are perfect for weekend sports. It's kinda of crazy as the park is located by driving into the high school so I always thought it was closed during school hours but it's not since it's a public park. It's kept up well and I can't wait for another mid day jog or playground day!

I have passed to place on many occasions and never stopped. Nice dog area and has a great playground for the kiddo. Also has tennis courts. I will for sure go back and bring the doggy. Once you entree the area you can turn left to park your boats or turn right and have fun in the park. There's plenty of parking space, but it does not have a big parking lot. To the left area there are 2 dog parks- one for big dogs and one for small dogs. Both areas are fenced in, have plenty of space for the dogs to run around and are clean. Before you enter both parks you will see the rules to follow. To the right side is the children's park. There are 2 pavilion you can rent to have parties or gatherings. Each pavilion has at least 4 picnic tables and a grill. The small park is great for the little ones. The big park has a 2 story playing area, rock climbing and swings. It was very informational and neat to see a little piece of history. Once we were done there we got on the Bridge walkway. We did not realize how long the Park Trail was, which is 17 miles! We decided we are going to rent some bikes when it gets a little warmer and try our hand at finishing the path. However, we did walk some of it though, and it was beautiful. I can't wait to explore more of this lovely park that we ran across! So more review to come:)

Farmers market, food trucks, petting zoo, horseback rides, live music and dancing, pioneer houses and demos, etc!!! Very impressed with how awesome today was!!
