Response was irrelevant to my claim
    Kelly M.

Clearly Paw Paw's pets did not read the previous complaint that I left on Yelp so I will update the community based on their response. I never claimed using your services. I recounted the gross behavior that two of YOUR employees displayed to me- merely a passer by. Reading is fundamental, there was nothing false about the recount. Negative, absolutely, I would be embarrassed as well. Take accountability, apologize or move on. Responding to me will just result in these kinds of posts, not good for you.

    My husky pup

My husky was trained by Becky, the owner of Paw Paws, at the age of 4 months, a short time after we adopted him since he was a handful. He started to do what she asked of him, like magic, and training me and my girls of what she's been working w/ him on. He went through training every day plus daycare for one month. He graduated and remained in daycare 'till present, every day. I even boarded him for a week while I was out of town. He did great. Becky and the staff take good care of him and when he comes back from daycare, daily, he is TIRED, from a full day of playing w/ the other pups. I'll never forget when he stepped in poop and Becky texts me to let me know that she is going to give him a bath (full bath)!!! He smelled so so good after. My husky is a high energy puppy and I like it very much that he takes all his energy out at the daycare with playing and being outside and when he comes home he just wants to eat, go for a walk and go to bed. Bam!!

This evening, I witnessed another dog obedience class that is one of the services offered at Paw Paw's Pets. The session was an introductory lesson for both the 10 week puppy and his owners. It's amazing the things you learn and the things you've always known just never applied to your pet. I enjoy the session and loved seeing the interaction between the trainer, the animal, and the owners. All the while, one of the service dogs, Jet, just sat by and watched with me. Jet had an interview this evening with a vet for possible placement.

Rowley gives Paw Paws daycare 5 paws!

Before we took our baby to Rebecca and her team at Paw Paw's Pets, our dog would not walk on a leash AT ALL.

But, Ashley is the best! She took a lot of time to meet with us before going solo with our dog, and really listened to my concerns and advice on the best way to make our dog comfortable with her. She has also worked with a local trainer (the same that we have used actually) so she has a great background in dog behavior and is very knowledgable. She's had many years in the pet sitting business and this is exactly that for her- a full time business. She's licensed and insured and far more responsible than your neighbors college age kid for pet sitting. I really appreciate that Ashley is very detail oriented and trustworthy- she is at my house when she says she will be, my dog is always fed, safe and happy, and my house is always locked and armed when she leaves. (Honestly, this is more than I can even manage some days lol) She's really one of the few people I trust with my crazy/challenging dog, and one of the few people that my dog seems to like and trust as well, and that in itself is a very high recommendation!

I took my dog (and subsequent foster dogs) there over the course of the four years I lived in Memphis. My dog, Tikva, has some pretty intense stranger danger but immediately loved the owner Kathy and her daughter Lana. We also loved Emma and Lillian, and the rest of the staff. They always put her needs first and never pushed her out of her comfort zone. I always got amazing personalized communication (and cute pics) from them. I really appreciate how they offer solo daycare/boarding to accommodate her issues. The extended hours are also a big plus! My dog LOVED going to River Dog Inn. I wish I could've taken them with me when I moved! We miss you!!

They were able to offer daily reports on our pup and she had a great experience when she boarded there, as well. Maggie is high energy and honestly difficult at times, but they handled her so well! They all knew her by name quickly. I could give story after story of how helpful they were, but I will just select a few. 1. Our dog had some issues going to the bathroom due to her long hair one day and needing groomed. Long story short, the owner gave her a sanitary trim without being asked! 2. I had a few last minute scenarios where Maggie needed boarded at the 11th hour, and they were always caring and happy to accommodate. 3. They shared which toys Maggie liked so we could purchase them. 4. They cared for Maggie like family! I cried when we said our goodbyes!! They also took interest in us, which was so kind! If you are in Memphis and need a doggie daycare-look no further. Seriously, we had the very best experience and are so sad to be moving to another state because we no longer get to be patrons of this establishment! We will miss River Dog Inn and cannot praise them enough!!!

Because of his size, and how excited he could get, he was really hard to walk, and whenever he saw another dog, he would pull my arm off. My wife refused to walk him, and I rarely did. Over the years, we tried many things (classes, special collars, other dog trainers), but just gave up, figuring you can't teach an old dog new tricks. Hank is a 2 year old Brittany who we rescued as a 1-year old. He never learned basic obedience, and it became very frustrating to try to communicate what we wanted. Enter Drew. We enrolled both dogs in the In Home - Off Leash Training. Drew came pretty much every day to our house for about an hour or two while we were at work for "as long as it takes", which ended up being about 5 weeks. He was very flexible, and worked around our schedule. After the 5 week in home training, Drew showed us how to do everything, and for the next several weeks, our dogs learned how to trust us to train them. Now both dogs walk perfectly behind me without pulling on walks. If they see another dog, they just keep walking, and don't pull or jump or bark (this one still amazes... if you could have seen them before!). I even feel comfortable enough to take both dogs at the same time! At the park, they will come when called. They can sit and stay, and be patient. It's kind of incredible to have such well behaved dogs! Sure, the training is expensive, but it really works. In my opinion it's worth every penny, because we have happier dogs, and way less stress.
