Mary was extremely good at the beginning of our association but, has recently been inconsistent, edgy, and often "forgetful" about keeping scheduled appointments, etc. Understandably, she like everyone else worldwide has been caught off guard with a host of personal issues during this crazy pandemic. I DO understand these challenges, especially being a working Mom/Grandma and business owner myself. Like so many others. I have been VERY patient with missed appointments, late arrivals and scheduling changes. However, I was completely stunned today when she made the knee-jerk decision to release my 14-year old Maltese from bi-weekly service, without notice or warning merely because I contacted her to inquire/confirm our upcoming appointment. She kept in great contact too, when there was cancellations she notified me asking if I wanted to come in sooner (since I had been asking for soonest available appointment) it was great, and she was very professional. My Aussie, Millie, never looked better! She loved Mary. I used to take her to a big box port store for grooming and never had her come back as perfect as she is today. Mary really knows her stuff and does an amazing job. Millie had matts on her ears and is an 11 month old puppy who would never let me brush or clip her without trying to bite everything. I am new to the area and read the good comments about Mary of the Paw Spa. Needless to say, moving is stressful for people and dogs and cats get stressed out as well. Called Mary and set up two appointments for both of my dogs. Unfortunately, the one who loves everybody is ill. I called to cancel that appointment, but left the one for the younger dog. Well, when Mary got here, it was clear that my dog wasn't going to let it happen. Mary was so gracious and wouldn't allow me to pay for the missed grooming.
