ANIMAL ABUSE ALERT!! Made a 1st-time appt, walked in a little early & the owner/groomer was by the holding cages putting finishing touches on a little dog. Apparently she didn't realize I'd come in because I saw her HIT (not tap, HIT) the dog. TWICE. Dog wasn't doing anything aggressive, only possibly squirming a little bit. I left immediately, called her to put her on notice of what I saw & she denied it, twice. I'm 100% certain of what I saw. Horrific. PLEASE reconsider taking your pets here!!! read more

This woman is an angel Saint She spent such a long time on my poor neglected doggy . I've been going through a really hard Times financially, and was facing homelessness, but now that I am back on my feet, I brought my teacup Yorky in to get cleaned up and mary gave her so much love and was so patient (my dog hates being groomed) and did such an amazing job. Her reviews are not all that recent and she does not know how to trim or cut longer hair for long hair dogs. She does not specify cash only upfront and tried to upsell supplements, conditioners and change the price stating my dog was matted - hardly. The place looks like it hasn't been dusted since 1982. She does not have assistants so she jacks up prices. $150 and when I picked up my dog she tried telling me it's $20 more! The cut was highly uneven and she's obviously never had a goldendoodle client. My dog drank 4 oz of water upon leaving and was not given water to drink while there. Rip off, rude and I've never paid $150 for a bath, cut and nail trim in all my years and I just moved her from Malibu and Los Angeles prior to. I miss the Blue Pooch pro groomers who treat dogs with care and cleanliness is a priority. Do not waste your time here. I wish I read every review and ignored the 5 star old algorithmic rating! read more

RUN!!! Just moved to the area and came here based on the Yelp reviews which now looking are not recent. I was able to get an appt in 2 days which should have been a red flag since most places take over 3 weeks. She told me over the phone it would be $75 (my dog is 22 pounds and gets groomed every 4 months and I usually pay this amount). At time of drop off and pick up there was not one other dog there which also was a red flag. Mary then tried charging me 160 saying she told me 135 in the morning- which she definitely did not or else I would have left. I used to go to pour La Pooch near the Fairfax district in LA and Gigi's in Woodland Hills which both charge in the 75$ range for bath, groom, ears, nails, etc).. my dog is 12 years old so I am familiar which how much groomers charge. She also only takes cash and Venmo. Take your business elsewhere!! read more

Very disappointed... Before I dropped off my tiny 9 week old puppy I called and asked for a quote. I was told $50 and that the service would only take an hour. 3 hours and $75 later my puppy looks exactly like how I dropped her off... I am just at a loss for words and feel scammed! Mary did a great job on my fur babies, they hadn't been to the groomers on a while because (well that's a long story)... Mary treated my dogs so kindly when we came into her shop. The dogs were very comfortable with her warm greeting. When I came to get them, they were absolutely gorgeous. And you could totally tell that they had been taken good care of. We will be back. Especially for the hair cut on the Wheaton mix, Mary said his hair around the face need to grow a little more to have the right look. My extremely picky and impatient Mini Goldendoodle LOVES Mary. He does not like strangers but immediately LOVED Mary when he met her. I was so grateful and happy for this. Mary is so sweet and nice to the animals. Grooming wise, this is the best cut i've ever received for my goldendoodle. Goldendoodle cuts can seriously make or break the look and Mary did EXACTLY as I asked! My dog's coat is sooo soft and is absolutely perfect. He is already a smiley and happy dog, but Mary made him even cuter! Also, I have yet to find a groomer that is able to groom his face without cutting his very long eyelashes... except Mary! Mary was very sweet and agreed to a same day appointment which helped me out a lot since I am only in town to visit my family. She told us pricing ahead of time and warned us of the long wait time since she had a lot of work to do with my little guy. Mufasa is a 7 year old Pom mix who is very nervous around strangers and unfamiliar places. But when we showed up to pick him up, he was very calm and curious and clearly bonded quickly with Mary. It was really reassuring to see how much he had bonded with her and how calm he came out despite his nervous nature. I rarely ever write reviews but I really love this place. Mary really cares and it shows when I come to pick up my dog Grover. He always has a big smile on his face and looks great! I was taking him to another place before that is local and they could never cut his fur right. He's a fluffy little guy and they kept cutting his fur way too short! Not only that but my dog would get anxiety at the other place. At Mary's, Grover always seems very happy when I come to pick him up. So happy we found Mary! I had tried two other groomers for my Goldendoodle puppy Levi, but both did a shoddy job and just dumped a bunch of dry shampoo on him instead of giving him a real bath. Mary took such good care of him, carefully washing him all the way down to the skin, giving him a proper brush out, and conditioning his coarse, curly fur. He's never been cleaner! But more importantly, she is so kind, and although he was nervous at first, by the end of his visit it was clear he loved Mary and felt safe and happy there. I am so relieved. I'm so glad we found Mary's Pet Salon. We just moved to this area and my dog has only known one Groomer until now and was a little apprehensive going in for the first time. Mary was very kind to our Bella and made her feel comfortable before taking her. She asked a lot of questions about how I would like her to be groomed. She is a Lhasa Apso with long hair and Mary knew just what to do with her coat, even adding suggestions about how to trim her face which I agreed with. Took our pomsky Toby to get groomed for the first time at Mary's salon. She's attentive and loving towards your pet. When we returned we could hear her talking to him as she was finishing up and the words were so gentle. Now I know he's a handful so the amount of patience she has is appreciated as a pet owner. We bring Toby and least once a month. Her grooming job is also awesome. His nails stay thick and not sharp. She trims in areas that are needed (in between his paws and area his bottom).
