I was looking for a groomer who could be extra gentle and be able to deal with my very fearful dog , Honey, who bit the first groomer we tried. We thought she would have to be muzzled or sedated to get groomed. This turned out not to be the case with Maimai at the Grateful Groomers. First off I want to start by say I'm big on customer service and how people text and or talk to me goes a long way. What you are not about to do is talk to me side ways on text. Okay so I was initially scheduled an appt for my dog for May 13, let's not forgot I was never given a time to begin with. I text the business since this is how they like to communicate asking if there was an available spot today or tomorrow because I may have a scheduling conflict. I received a response stating I'm sorry, we don't have anything available until next week, so I'm thinking to myself cool I can perhaps reschedule for next week. So I asked what days she had available. Response back was It would take a lot of shuffling of the schedule to accommodate a different appointment for your dog as We service your area very infrequently. If you can, please keep what you have. Okay so I'm thinking to myself why tell me you have available spots and now telling me as a customer to keep what I have?! Strange so I tell her I have a scheduling conflict and may need to change the appt to a different day. Response back was I will get back to you. I'm not sure we will be able to continue providing services for you as your schedule is constantly changing and as I explained, we service your are very infrequently. I'm thinking to myself my schedule isn't set in stone and most definitely not mine things change and things come up. My response was you said you had availability next week and can she let me know the days as I may have a scheduling conflict as I mentioned before. A delay in response but she text back stating I will get back to you. I understand, but if we can't accommodate the changes it might be best to find someone that is in your area more often andhas a more flexible schedule. By this time I'm a little irritated with all this back and forth, just let me know what you have available and I'll decide the rest. Next text response is Our office opens at 9AM You will hear from me after that. Again I'm thinking to myself why are you responding to me before your business opens now all of a sudden you want to communicate at 9 ugh ok. Some Of the things she is telling me is uncalled for so I tell her that. I asked whom I was talking to and she said Heather I'm the scheduling and operations manager. I gave her some advice on being more professional and having a business mindset. No way to talk to customers, well text since this is all she does, someone is giving you business and you want to get snarky? Received another text after I told her about being professional, the text stated I am canceling your appointment on Saturday and will not be rescheduling your dog. No further services will be provided. Have a nice day. I couldn't do nothing but laugh. Truth and fact of the matter is have some business etiquette even if you are texting and accept the feedback I gave you not cancel my appt and being mad shows your unprofessionalism. Less is better over text and all that extra you was telling me wasn't necessary. I'll gladly take my business elsewhere. Have a blessed day and work on having a business mindset. read more

Ariel who used to work here was a gem and so empathetic and understanding of my senior dog with seizures needs. However, once she left I found that the owner, Heather was completely devoid of empathy. I had and emergency regarding over-medication of said senior dog and reached out to her immediately after I had figured out what happened on the day of our scheduled groom for her and my other dog. Not once did she express any compassion, empathy, or understanding. Nope -- all about the money. She said she would waive the $25 cancellation fee for each dog if my other still got groomed. I am busy tending to my dog and would like the two of them to be on the same schedule. Told her no problem at all I would pay for one dog, but the dog with the emergency seemed unfair on principle as it was an E-M-E-R-G-E-N-C-Y. So, I hope the $50 was worth it Heather. This business does not reply to any of their specified inquiry methods. I submitted my info, uploaded photos of my dog and texted numerous times (no one ever picks up a phone). I've seen the grooming van in my neighborhood a few times so I'm disappointed I can't even get a response. Even a reply saying that they aren't taking new customers, is better than being ignored. Gus took to them both immediately - a very good sign. He's usually not very happy with people touching his feet or brushing his teeth. Wow! I could not recommend them enough! Avery is a reactive dog but the lovely lady groomers didn't seem to mind, and they made her feel comfortable and at ease. When I came back to get her after the groom, she didn't even want to leave them-- they'd already made quick friends! To boot, Avery looks incredible. C'mon, look at these photos. The groomers are clearly highly familiar with the Australian/American Shepherd cut, and they knocked it out of the park. Our Teddi Bear (goldendoodle) never looked more adorable! Our groomer Darling and her husband are amazing.

Very unhappy with this business. We have the dogs washed every 3 weeks and pay for extra services (which includes flea and tick baths). Girls are nice but last time they showed they picked up and dropped my dogs off within 14 minutes (2 dogs). In the past it's always taken washers from other companies an hour for both dogs. You can smell the shampoo. The dogs did not smell bathed (we pay extra for flea and tick baths which has a very strong smell). We called the owner and her response was very lax and not even apologizing. Now my dogs have ticks on them. Very upset as we wanted to support a women owned business but for me, when you have a problem it's how you handle it that's most important. She didn't seem to care that we paid for services we didn't receive. We have the camera evidence, the smell evidence, the dry dog evidence AND now the ticks. read more

Tried Grateful Groomers for the first time yesterday and they were great! I recently had a baby, and with Covid still not fully gone, I didn't want to drive back and forth from my normal groomers. Heather was my dog's groomer and she was very friendly and professional. My dog was a mess(i.e. stinky, matted and needed her nails clipped). Heather rescued my dog from a bad fur day.
