They offered to reschedule for later that afternoon, which I appreciated. I asked if they would consider a small courtesy discount because of the inconvenience, and they declined. I was also told that the groomer would be grooming my dog for the first time, which I politely corrected because he had actually groomed my dog twice previously. The owner subsequently called me and told me I was being rude and canceled the rescheduled appointment. I was extremely disappointed by how the situation was handled. I was trying to address an inconvenience and find a reasonable resolution, not create a confrontation. Mistakes happen. What matters is how a business handles them. She still had mats on her chest, her sanitary area was untouched, and her ears were not cleaned. Overall, the service was very poor. Update: Approximately 24 hours later, on a Sunday morning, the groomer unexpectedly showed up at my home upset about my Yelp review. This was extremely unprofessional and inappropriate. During this interaction, I was told that they do not comb out mats and that doing so would be "cruelty to animals." I strongly disagree. I have been a veterinary technician for 40 years and have never encountered a professional groomer handling feedback -- or basic matting -- in this manner. Between the incomplete grooming and the unprofessional follow-up, I will not be using this company again and cannot recommend them. read more

After a few unsuccessful attempts to get a mobile groomer out, I found Paw Zone! They were quick, responsive over the phone, and I was able to book a day for all 3 of my kitties to get groomed. The groomer asked each time what I needed for my cats. One of my cats is extremely terrified of showering and water in general and he was able to handle him, many kudos! I went for a basic shampoo/blow dry with nail trim and sanitation trim. I got a multi cat discount as well. The only thing I noticed is one of my cat, Milk, had a bloody toe and I noticed it because she has white fur. After the 1st cat, their generator died and needed to plug into my house for electricity. When I contacted them, the owner text me a generic apology and said, "The system" didn't notify the groomer and that they would find another appointment for me. When I questioned that response, I got the same answer. Also, when I initially inquired about the services for my Lab, they sent a price quote picture that showed it woukd be $135.00When I went to book with the owner, he tried to say the service was $195.00. This was my first experience with a groomer and it was flawless... my beloved kitty has long hair and isn't the best groomer, and even though I brush her constantly, she developed matted hair. Dreadlocks, if you will. I spoke with her Vet who said she had to be shaved -so I read some online reviews and found these lovely folks. I opted for the lion cut as that seemed to solve her problem and the groomer confirmed day before, was on time, very kind and gentle with her and like magic, one hour later she came back looking like a little baby Simba. Very sad that my pup got shaved down. I gave pics of my Maltipoo and the look I wanted but he came out looking like a chihuahua. I paid double what I normally pay for in-salon grooming because I thought it would be better for him. But this is the last time I'll do so. He was shaking so bad in the small van for over 2 hours. As nice as Andy the groomer was and although I believe he worked so hard- he seemed inexperienced to just shave down the dog all over. His tail looks like a rat's tail now when he had a fluffy full tail before- clearly this groomer doesn't know how Maltipoos usually look. The in depth survey they send before the groom asks what breed so I thought they did that for the purpose of knowing different breeds have different looks. I asked for a puppy cut trim and got a shave down. I'm sad but I know his hair will grow back eventually. To be clear, I asked him to not cut shorter than an inch (showed with my fingers) and he agreed and said 7 blade? I said I don't know what a 7 blade is but no more than an inch, he agreed and yet my pup is about 1/4 inch long at best and worst, unevenly cut all over. I had to cut more to even it out and his poor ears were cut down sooo short. Sigh... live and learn. I do want to say the owner Daniel called afterward and when I told him my disappointment he offered to compensate for my displeasure so I think their customer service is pretty good but all that aside I thought I was paying a premium for competence but that did not seem to happen. read more

The price is pretty expensive, but due to the fact they come to your house to groom, it's worth it to not have a stressed out dog in the car and the comfort of having your dog not far from home. I am giving a five star review based on our most recent experience with them. My mom has a dog that is long haired and is not the best at keeping him groomed. He got pretty bad but when we tried to take him to petco and petsmart, within 15 minutes they call us to tell us that he keeps trying to bite them and even with calming aid he still was always trying to bite them. So we could never get him groomed, I even tried but it turned out bad. Finally we decided to got Paw Zone, when he was done, my moms dog was Groomed!! He stated there were no problem with him and that he didn't try to bite him at all! He even was able to get rid of the nasty matted fur in his armpits!! We were figuring it was only girls he would bite and nip at, so not only will be be continuing our business with this company but for now on, we will always ask for a male. I have been a client for a few years now and they do an amazing job with my dog. I have a Siberian husky Woolly coat and there coat is similar to a collie only much thicker and my dog looks so good when they are finished. He loves the groomers and gets excited when he sees them pulling up in the van so that says volumes. My dog is shy and doesn't like most people but he loves the crew at paws zone I highly recommend this company. I'm new in town and was glad to find this mobile groomer. It was very hard to find a groomer with an appointment sooner than a month in advance and I don't trust the big pet store groomers with my little older dog. Apart from some initial difficulties finding me the Paw Zone groomer did a fine job. My little 13 year old Clyde immediately took to Norma when she introduced herself to me. She asked me a few style preference questions and got right to business. In about one hour she knocked on my door to let me know she was done and brought an obviously very happy, tail wagging Clyde back to me. He looked great (that's the "just after"picture below) and he's still sporting his new cut proudly on every walk we do. I was happy with the new cut and Clyde was thrilled to have met a new friend. We had them come several weeks ago to do our older Yorkie. The cut was good, but not as short as we'd asked. Her nails were clipped, but also not as short as we thought it should have been. Thinking that perhaps we just miscommunicated, we had them come again this week. We had them clip her hair shorter, which they did well length-wise, but it was a bit uneven - especially around the head and face. On top of that, they charged us $15 more than the previous time, saying that it was because we were in Sebastopol. What's up with that? $145 for bathing , clipping, and nail clipping was too high considering the quality. The one positive is that they were available. Once over meaning anal glands, wash and nails. Gave me a fair multi-dog discount and set up a date and time. Arrived on time, he originally was to have an assistant, didn't show so he was alone.
