RIP Odie, you are missed beyond measure
Priscilla J.

I couldn't thank this team enough for the amazing care they provided our family in one of the most difficult times. Our dog, Odie, fell suddenly ill and within days was not able to even lift his head anymore. After a very expensive visit to an emergency clinic in Gilroy, and finding out our boy had multiple things going on we discussed with our kids and made the decision that Odie needed to be put to rest. I called Paws and Claws the next morning when we saw Odie started getting worse, and they made arrangements to come see him the same day. Their gentle, genuine and caring nature during the procedure in our home honestly took a lot of stress off of us. Odie grew up with our kids so this was extremely difficult for them. They returned about a week later with Odie's ashes, his paw print in clay and a digital paw print with a poem! I hate that I have to leave this review, but thank you so much to Paws and Claws for providing the absolute best care during this most difficult time. It was very intimately, patiently and carefully done and we appreciate you both SO MUCH!

This was the best thing we could've done for our dog who had to be put down. Dr. Smith was so patient, caring, and professional throughout the whole process and I appreciated the fact that this was done in the comfort and privacy of our own home. Her and her assistant turned this painful experience into something so positive and memorable for our family. We are forever grateful for Paws and Claws!

I was dreading having to deal with putting my aging kitty to rest for some time. In searching for options, it was my good fortune to find Dr. Smith and Eric with Paws and Claws. I never dreamed that they would be so loving and caring with my sweet Anabel. They put her to rest with such care and thoughtfulness that it was a relief to see her fall asleep so peacefully. To me, they were divinely sent as her guardian angels to guide her gently home. I could not have ever imagined anything better in that moment. I highly recommend Dr. Smith and Eric to anyone who wants the love and care and dignity for their pet.

Sleeping doggies after the vaccine. Thank you!

She arrived at my sister's home while our family was all together surrounding our beloved Kain, while he was still with us. She right away knew how sacred and emotional this time was for us. She checked in with our every need and explained everything that was going to happen, step by step, and with so much gentleness and compassion. She stayed with us while we cried and sobbed as we said goodbye. And she brought a darling gurney, with a pillow and blanket where Kain could rest in a dignified way (after he passed). She was so generous and patient with her heart and time, and stayed with us as we continued with our "memorial" time together. And when it was time for her to take Kain, she had a very beautiful and honoring space in her car for him, that touched our hearts in the most beautiful and comforting way. She promised she would be the one to deliver Kain's ashes, and she did... We were very blessed to have Dr. Jeni be a part of our sacred farewell and help Kain cross over with so much gentleness and love. Thank you Dr. Jeni!

Choosing in-home euthanasia was difficult, but Peaceful Pathways made it as gentle and peaceful an experience as we could have hoped for. From our very first phone call, Amy was warm, patient, and genuinely caring as she helped us set up the appointment. We weren't sure we were making the right decision, and she answered all our questions with kindness and reassurance during a really uncertain time. When Dr. Jenn Winnick arrived, her compassion was immediately evident. She took the time to explain everything and assured us we were doing the right thing for Simba. She treated Simba with such gentle care and created a calm, loving atmosphere for her final moments. Her kindness turned an unbearably sad day into one filled with peace and dignity for our sweet girl. We are forever grateful to Dr. Winnick and Amy for helping us say goodbye to Simba in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by love. When I contacted Restful Paws, I didn't know what to expect. In fact, I felt bad crying on the phone because I couldn't imagine trying to talk to someone like me at that moment. But the staff couldn't be more understanding and supportive. Unlike making end of life decisions for your fur baby, the process of scheduling this appointment was very easy. Restful Paws asked all the right questions, set the expectations, and made this process that much easier. And on the day of, Dr. Ami arrived promptly at the scheduled time. She was very caring and understanding, and she put all of us at ease. We could not have asked for a better last day for our Sodapop. I'm thankful that we reached out to restful pause, and grateful that they were able to come to our house to help us get through this phase. Weeks later, we received a card from Dr. Ami sending us her condolences. Thank you, Restful Paws, for doing the service that you do. I'm sure it's not easy, and I can only imagine how sad it is to do this on a daily basis. Thank you so much!

From calling to make an appointment, receiving reminder emails, and day of texts from our vet, each step was handled with so much compassion. We were able to find a weekend availability which was best scenario so everyone could attend. Dr. Vine was very punctual the day of and gave us a thorough breakdown of what to expect (pain reliever, anesthesia, and euthanasia). We didn't feel rushed at any point, and we were given ample time before proceeding to each stage. She was very respectful and the process was smooth. After the euthanasia, we were able to choose where we wanted the fur clippings. The paw print was perfectly imprinted with Christy's name, which added such a sweet personal touch. We chose to pickup Christy's ashes at Sage, and it was quick. The only thing is it felt very jarring going to an animal hospital filled with so many people and dogs. Considering this was only 2 weeks after the euthanasia, I was still grieving and it was difficult being in that environment so soon. The only feedback I'd give is it'd be more mindful if there was a separate pickup location away from everyone else for more privacy. Dr. Vine sent a sympathy card as well and it was very sweet. Thank you so much for giving Christy such a respectful experience and having her pass comfortably and peacefully. I will definitely recommend this organization to loved ones! Thank you Dr. Vine for such a smooth experience. You made this process much easier and we were able to focus on grieving afterwards. Rest in peace, sweet Christy!

When I contacted his office I was unable to secure a time to pick up the medication or schedule an appointment. My voice messages and emails largely went unanswered. We made her as comfortable as we could, injected fluids in her everyday, and she had strings of good days, but then on Christmas Eve, her body just couldn't take it anymore. I got referred to Dr. Van Horn and his services from a family member and a couple of friends, and my wife and I are so glad that there are angels on earth in the form of Dr. Van Horn, Zayn, and Jennifer. They were all incredibly kind, compassionate, and professional and in spite of having to play phone tag and change the day of our appointment a couple of times. It's not easy at all to do what Dr. Van Horn did, but he did so with the most calm, kind, and understanding heart. He explained everything to us very clearly and even went so far as to share things about himself and stories about his pets to help us through things. He was so patient and gave us all the time we needed to say what we needed to say. He was gentle with her and helped her not suffer any longer. Kara was in excellent hands with Dr. Van Horn, and I highly recommend him if you are in need of services for your pet in their last moments. It was the most peaceful day, spending time with our Kara on the couch on Christmas Eve, and having Dr. Van Horn help ease her passing, and now we're so relieved that our kitty doesn't have to suffer any longer. Dr. Van Horn even went so far as to make himself available to us if we needed someone to talk to in the future, and if I ever see him in the city, I would gladly go up to him and say hi. I consider him family based on how kind and gentle he was to our Kara. Thank you so much, Dr. Van Horn, and all of your associates, for helping our last moments with Kara be so loving and meaningful!
