If you have ever had an ailing pet, you know the pain and panic from not being able to get adequate care. So don't wait until things become urgent: if you have a pet with a chronic health issue, start a relationship with Dr. Ma now. That was the advice we received from my dog's ophthalmologist. For many reasons, we're lucky we followed it. We wanted better pain management for our dog, who had a constellation of issues, and to also be able to access hospice care and euthanasia if/when those needs arose. I contacted most of the practices and doctors listed on the hand-out from our regular vet's office (the kind of due diligence you can do when it's not a crisis). My inquiries at other practices were handled by staff or calling centers - the information was conditional or vague; it didn't feel reliable. I was able to have a short phone consultation with Dr. Ma, which was well worth the small fee. In the event, our dog's condition deteriorated unexpectedly. Dr. Ma had sent us materials after that first phone call to have on hand when needed. I've been through this experience before - we've had to euthanize 8 of our pets over many years. Though the situation is always painful, I felt that most of those euthanasias were handled well. But this one with Dr. Ma was different from the other times - different as in better, much better. Most importantly, for our dog - Dr. Ma was attuned to his needs - but also better for us: Mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally. She had prepared us intellectually, providing explanations, information, answering questions. She was also attuned to our needs, acknowledging and supporting the spiritual and emotional aspects of consciously ending the life of a loved being. She did it all with skill and compassion. Dr. Ma made the unbearable easier to bear.

Euthanasia is the most difficult decision a pet parent can make in behalf of their fur baby. Dr Tiffany Ma is so kind, patient, understanding and respectful of our needs during this sad experience. She lessened the trauma of this process and made us feel at ease and comfortable, never rushing us. I highly recommend having this procedure done in the comfort of your home, not adding anymore stress on your fur baby. Thank you, Dr Ma for assisting Tashi to gently and easily cross over while feeling all my family's love surrounding him.

My precious baby girl Minnie's health took a turn for the worst last week (due to a brain tumor) and she let me know with her eyes that she was ready to go. The following morning, I sent Dr. Ma a text message to let her know that it was time. She immediately got back to me and quickly scheduled Minnie's transition. I had previously contacted Dr. Ma when I was going to put her to sleep a month ago and ended up canceling since she got better. But I saved her contact information because I knew I was going to need it and sure enough, I did. Dr. Ma arrived to my house on Saturday morning and helped my family and I give Minnie a peaceful transition to heaven in the comfort of our home. Minnie was surrounded by a lot of love, tranquility and the people that loved and raised her. Although the entire process was heartbreaking, our farewell couldn't have been more perfect and beautiful. Through this review, I would love to extend my sincere gratitude and respect to Dr. Tiffany Ma. When I first found out that Minnie had a brain tumor, I started planning her "end-of life" and knew that I wanted to do an in home euthanasia. I kept Dr. Ma's information ready when Minnie's time came. Dr. Ma was very sweet, supportive and patient to our family's needs and wishes. We wanted Minnie's transition to heaven to be peaceful, private and without any rush. As a family, we wanted to say goodbye to Minnie in our own way. Dr. Ma, with her calming presence, gave us plenty of time and space for it. She really helped us make this process very heartfelt and smooth in the comfort of our home even though our hearts were aching. Dr. Ma gave Roxy (Minnie's surviving companion) her moment to say goodbye to her sister, best friend and leader of the pack. She informed me that it was important for Roxy to be there so that she can understand life and death. Dr. Ma's sweet presence helped Roxy remain calm throughout the entire process even while she was grieving for the loss of her sister. Dr. Ma provided two paw clays, a heart shaped container to cut and save my baby's curls. During Minnie's passing, she lit a candle and ended up giving it to my family and I. She told us that every time we thought of Minnie, to light this candle in memory of her. When Dr. Ma was preparing to leave with Minnie, she wrapped her up in a blanket like a baby and placed her in a basket. Minnie looked so peaceful as if she was sleeping. Afterwards, she placed her in the car and on the passenger seat (with the seat belt on). My family and I felt that it was so dignified and respectful the way Dr. Ma treated Minnie even after her passing. Dr. Ma even provided my family and I resources and materials on coping with our grief and how to honor our memories of Minnie. Including how to help Roxy with her loss. Dr. Ma was very informative and cared about our emotional and mental health. Lastly, she took care of notifying Minnie's vet, neurologist and optometrist of her passing-- so that my family and I didn't have to deal with a lot and can focus on our healing process. When I posted on my social media about Minnie's passing and our experience with the in-home euthanasia, I had friends and family reach out to me asking more about this experience and Dr. Ma's contact information. I was more than happy to do so and provide her web link. An in home euthanasia was the best decision that my family and I made for Minnie and we are eternally grateful for her services, comfort and guidance. On behalf of my family and I, we highly recommend Dr. Ma if you want an intimate experience to say goodbye to your beloved pet.

We never planned for or thought about what would happen when our beloved Doberman was at the end of his life. So when we urgently needed assistance at short notice, I was so grateful to hear Dr Tiffany Ma's voice on the other end of the line assuring me that she could help us end his suffering, peacefully and at our own pace, in spite of the late hour of our request. I am grateful for her gentle demeanor and great respect for our boy, giving him time to be comfortable with a new stranger in our house. She explained that everything would on our time line, when we were ready to let go. She gave him a sedative that helped him relax and eventually fall asleep. Again, there was no rushing, as if time didn't exist. We got to cry over, express our gratitude and grief about letting him go, and then we have the nod and told her it was ok. I never imagined life without him, though we knew the day would come. We couldn't have hoped or asked for a kinder, gentler person to help us through this transition. Thank you Dr Ma, for helping our boy go peacefully over the rainbow bri

Our beloved dog, Bentley (aka Mr. Sweetface) began experiencing symptoms of degenerative myelopathy in about Feb 2021. As it is a degenerative disease, we watched as his mobility and health steadily declined. When it became obvious to us (And his regular vet) that "the time had come," we knew instantly we wanted someone to come to our home to transition him over the rainbow bridge. It would have been too overwhelming to have to bring him to the vet. So we researched in home euthanasia and came across Dr. Ma. After my conversation with her, I knew she would be the right fit. She explained the procedure thoroughly and was generous in giving us time to say goodbye. She brought a candle to light in his honor/memory and lit it before beginning anything. She was kind, compassionate and professional. She prepared a lovely clay print and a keepsake for his fur. She provided materials for us and our teen daughter to read about grief and the loss of a pet. She even provided us material about how death can impact another pet (we have a cat too) and she was very concerned about making sure that our cat could say goodbye. We would 100% recommend Dr. Ma to any pet parent who is having to make this awful decision (and will use her ourselves with it is time for our cat to go). She made the process for us manageable..... it went as well as it could have gone.

When I contacted Restful Paws, I didn't know what to expect. In fact, I felt bad crying on the phone because I couldn't imagine trying to talk to someone like me at that moment. But the staff couldn't be more understanding and supportive. Unlike making end of life decisions for your fur baby, the process of scheduling this appointment was very easy. Restful Paws asked all the right questions, set the expectations, and made this process that much easier. And on the day of, Dr. Ami arrived promptly at the scheduled time. She was very caring and understanding, and she put all of us at ease. We could not have asked for a better last day for our Sodapop. We were able to find a weekend availability which was best scenario so everyone could attend. Dr. Vine was very punctual the day of and gave us a thorough breakdown of what to expect (pain reliever, anesthesia, and euthanasia). We didn't feel rushed at any point, and we were given ample time before proceeding to each stage. She was very respectful and the process was smooth. After the euthanasia, we were able to choose where we wanted the fur clippings. The paw print was perfectly imprinted with Christy's name, which added such a sweet personal touch. We chose to pickup Christy's ashes at Sage, and it was quick. The only thing is it felt very jarring going to an animal hospital filled with so many people and dogs. Considering this was only 2 weeks after the euthanasia, I was still grieving and it was difficult being in that environment so soon. The only feedback I'd give is it'd be more mindful if there was a separate pickup location away from everyone else for more privacy. Dr. Vine sent a sympathy card as well and it was very sweet. Thank you so much for giving Christy such a respectful experience and having her pass comfortably and peacefully. I will definitely recommend this organization to loved ones! Thank you Dr. Vine for such a smooth experience. You made this process much easier and we were able to focus on grieving afterwards. Rest in peace, sweet Christy!
