On January 21, 2021 Elizabeth charged a woman who tried to cancel after contracting covid Do you want to go into a business that pressures people with active covid to come in? If she is willing to pressure customers she probably also pressures her employees to come in when they are sick. Read paws and pamer's reviews and Elizabeth's responses before you bring your pet to her. Repetedly she states that she has the right to charge your credit card for whatever amount she deems fit, no matter what she quoted you. She has made it impossible to cancel & will attempt to deny proof if it is presented. If that is not enough she has also hurts the animals in her care. Cutting nails until they bleed & leaving razor burns on their skin. She is a RUDE HOTHEADED SWINDLER! Elizabeth at Paws and Pamper tried to steal $65 from me (my credit card company gave me my money back because I had proof of cancelation). I called to reschedule she said she would call me back but never did, I waited over a week. I called again and canceled via phone message and email, 4 days prior to the appointment. She claimed I didn't cancel and charged me anyway. She called me names and threatened me. She tried to shame me. She will take advantage of you and treat you poorly.....AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Elizabeth text an hour before my appointment saying that she would be 30 minutes late. I showed up at the new appointment time and waited 15 minutes. I sent her a text and she never replied or showed up. She was very rude during the communications we did have. She text me from a number I had never communicated with. When I asked who it was, she replied "I saw your message asking who I am?...it's a bit confusing to me when someone wants to come see me as a client but then doesn't know who I am. I don't want to drive 30 miles in the town for nothing." I tried to write a Google review as well, but since it is marked as Permanently Closed, it does not allow new reviews. After having an appointment for almost 2 weeks, she decided to cancel the same day. Unprofessional. Also, after Elizabeth's reply to me and her lack of accountability... as well as reading many 1 star reviews and her horrible responses without a single apology..... Waste of time. Do not take your pet here! Elizabeth rescheduled on me as I was driving to the initial appointment. 15 minutes prior to our initial appointment. We rescheduled. The second appointment, I was sent a text reminder that morning, but when we arrived, no one opened the door or responded to my texts or calls. This is no way to run a business. read more

We took our dog into this groomer and the final price for the work was exorbitant. She later claimed we had made a monthly appointment with her, which was not true. She is now sending us aggressive and and increasingly hostile texts. read more

I had a great experience at Paws and Pamper. We had a thorough and lengthy conversation about what my expectations were for my Poodle's first professional groom. She is definitely an advocate for the dog, in this case a young, timid, inexperienced dog, and she said she would do as much as my dog could handle without making the experience too much for her. Wow!! I couldn't believe how good my shaggy pooch looked when I picked her up and she loved her new friend, Elizabeth, too. I booked my next appointment before I left. She has strict policies about cancelations and such but you try to run a small business without those protections and see why that is necessary. read more

I personally witnessed my best friend cancel her appointment 4 days before the scheduled time. The owner Elizabeth said she would reschedule it. But after multiple rounds of phone tag my friend decided to just cancel and find someone more available. Elizabeth threw a fit! Called my friend names and then TOOK HER MONEY! When my friend tried to work something out Elizabeth BLOCKED her! How is this lady still in business? AVOID AVOID AVOID. Charged my partners credit card 3 times for services not rendered. Elizabeth canceled an hour and a half before our appointment and had the audacity to charge us for grooming services, shampoo, nails, express glands etc. Read closely Missoula, we did not take our dog in because she canceled on us! And she charged us full price. She stole our money. When we called to question the charge, Elizabeth yelled at us that we were "upsetting her pack" and hung up. This person has a lot of personal stuff going on that is preventing her from safely and responsibly grooming pets. The way she deals with people is telling. She should be arrested for theft. Do not patronize this business unless you want to deal with a person exhibiting many signs of being unstable and unwell. Save yourself the trouble. Your dog will thank you. If you have spent much time reading the reviews for Elizabeth at Paws and Pamper, then you should be starting to get a good picture of what your experience will be like there. I only wish I had read them before I brought my dog in. Buyer beware. For the sake of organization, I'll address the rating areas google lists above. Poor quality: My dog's grooming was incomplete. Elizabeth did not trim her nails, clip between or toe pads, or shave her private areas for hygiene. The cut is uneven all over, and there are large dips in my pup's face and body. There are also parts with long scraggly hairs sticking out at odd angles. She also cut her eyelashes and whiskers off! We paid $130 for this grooming only to have to fix it ourselves. When I asked Elizabeth to fix it, she said she would charge me again, even though the services were listed as included in a basic groom. Poor value: Wildly expensive. Our regular groomer charges half of what Elizabeth does and does a much better job. I was grateful that Elizabeth could fit us in since we will be out of town during our regular grooming appointment, but I think we could've used some clippers at home and had our sweet doodle come out just as well. And as I mentioned above, it was $130 for an incomplete groom. Save your money and go somewhere else. Not professional: My appointment was at 11:30, and Elizabeth messaged me at 11:10 pushing it back to noon. I was already on my way, and had a meeting at 12:00. She then was frustrated that I was there "early." She was rude to me over her two way texting system, and claimed I was "bullying" her when I politely asked her to fix the parts of our dog's groom that were left unfinished. Also, check out her responses to other negative reviews on this site. This is how you can expect to be treated by Elizabeth. I fully anticipate getting a nasty reply to this review, but wish I had read her reviews before I let her get her scissors on my pup and hope to warn other pet parents. Not reliable: Elizabeth claims she has a satisfaction guarantee, but wants more $$$ to finish the grooming job she started on my dog. I messaged her and let her know I was unhappy and why, and gave her a chance to fix it. What I got in return was rude and poorly written messages, accusations of bullying, and expectations for more money. We all want the best for our pets, and this is certainly not it. The owner texted us saying her groomer was sick and asked if she could reschedule 4 hours before our appointment. Because we were at work weren't able to respond s as quickly as she would of liked. So instead of taking off to go to the groomers we just stayed at work and figured we would just reschedule later. When our appointment time came up she charged our credit card anyways. When we called to resolve the problem they simply said we signed the contract that says she gets to charge us anyway. Beware of this business they want there money more than anything else. This business owner is rude and charged me even when I had told her that my dog had gotten stitches just days prior and that I did not want the grooming. I had not signed any contract. She still said because I was canceling that she was charging me anyway. I would have thought a little compassion for an open wound would be warranted and the healthy dog would be the first concern. I still showed up before the time to show her my dog and she had locked the door and was hiding inside. When she did come out after about fifteen minutes after time she proceeded to yell at me and tell me I was doing her a disservice and interrupting her pack. This business owner is rude and a con artist!! The owner of this business is also a habitual con artist. Her response contains mistruths and a lot of grammar errors. What she says about receiving alerts and texts is a lie on her part. She also does not have a protective dog. Be very very careful using this business read more

Morgan our Golden Retriever has gone to three or four other groomers in Missoula and has always seemed afraid or upset when I came to get her. Not with Elizabeth, she always races to the door to see her and not super excited to leave when I come to get her. Also, her bath and haircut is always on point and she smells amazing. We will continue to take her there for years to come. read more
