The staff delivers exceptional customer service daily! Myself and my dog are greeted with enthusiasm and a huge smile every day! I never feel like my dog is just a number. I know from the bottom of my heart when I walk through those doors they 100% care about each dog and each customer. My dog literally goes crazy when we start pulling into their driveway. He can't wait to get through those front doors and start playing. CoolWag promises you a tired dog when you come back for pick up. On this they deliver 10 fold. My dog falls asleep as soon as he gets in the car. By the time we get home I'm not exaggerating he barely eats before he is sound asleep. It's hard to put into words just how epic CoolWag is. I have been happy with their service, but that changed a few weeks ago when I took my dog there to have him groomed -- an appointment I made about a month before. I received a text from them that said his appointment was at 9 a.m., and I walked in at 9:02. The woman at the front desk was snippy and said they were going to charge me a $20 fee because he was late. I said, "The text said that his appointment is at 9." She told me that it was 9:02, and if the appointment is at 9, that means he needs to be there before 9. She bragged that someone came in one minute late the day before and they had to pay the fee. I honestly thought she was joking. I assumed the owner didn't know how they were treating good customers, so I asked if he was there and if I could talk to him. He came in and was immediately rude and aggressive. I calmly mentioned that I was two minutes late and that we have been coming there for years. I thought he would at least apologize and say, "I understand how you feel, but it's our policy." It still would not have made it right, but I would have at least felt heard. Instead, he was extremely emotional and told me that he had already called another customer to come in because I was late. He kept telling me how much my being late had inconvenienced him. I said, "Well, I'll pay the fee, but I don't plan to bring my dog back in the future." He began to scream at me, and told me to take my dog and that he wasn't going to groom my dog. I tried to de-escalate the situation. I was in shock and didn't know what to say. I couldn't believe this was really happening. I was in disbelief that a business owner would act this way. I stayed calm the entire time, but he continued to throw a fit. I asked him to go ahead and groom my dog, and he told me that my dog would be the last one out since he was the last one there. I almost said, "I thought you called someone else to bring in their dog," but I didn't. I said that was fine. The most upsetting part is that ever since I picked up my dog, he had been shaking and extremely skittish. We are worried about how he was treated while he was in their care. Needless to say, we will never take him there again. I've never written a negative review before, but I do not want others to go through what I did. I wish I could give less than one star.

The staff took the time to understand her personality and natural traits, even knowing she prefers human attention over other dogs. It was clear she was watched over, loved, and comfortable the entire time. When they became ill or needed well checks-she spent every last dime she had on them. She'd go without food to pay her bills. Never once, did anyone ever offer her a discount for her 6 cats or let her catch a break by setting up a payment plan. Then when two of her cats became ill and eventually died.. they offered euthanasia instead of comfort. They washed their hands of my mother after she chose to keep her cat and nurse him to health. They were very rude and judgmental and called her a terrible pet owner! After her years of dedication and love to her cats. The prices -and her bills were astronomical. Dr.Bratton down the road would never treat someone so harshly and would just be happy she was caring for her animals, as many do not.

Compared to the petstore less than a half mile away its night and day different. There is more to choice from and a wider array of animals, fish, reptiles rodents, dogs, birds and cats. I suppose to be fair that all adds to the smell. However, they could take some lessons form the other local pet store. Although smaller and with a limited selection It was very clean, the animals were very entegetic and seemed happy. Just as important and problably why the animals seemed happy was the caring and attentive staff. You could tell they loved the animals and had a caring and supportive attitute with them. This Petland seemed more to just have entry level workers that could be plugged in at Target or any hardware store. They were not rude, but they also offered no help, made no effort to sell, and did not seem to care about the animals like the petstore did. It seemed to me they treated them more like products on the shelf rather than a living creature that needs love, attention and empathy. It's not that it was bad, just not great.

I bought two dog treats thinking it would be a dollar. My receipt says two treats for $2. Secondly, I left a review for the Fayetteville location months ago when I wrongly and unknowingly was signed up for a Petland credit card without my approval. I went to go look at a puppy and did not end up buying one, but submitted a preapproval application to see how much I would be approved for IF I did want to consider getting a puppy. I ended up somehow with a Petland credit card that I did not ask for and a hard inquiry on my credit. It seems like multiple other people have had this issue. I ended up being contacted by somebody, I think the owner, from Petland and they asked me to remove my review. I did because the conversation went well. Fast forward, maybe a little less than a year after all of this happened, and I go to buy something from Petland Rogers because I received an email telling me that I had to make a purchase or else my line would be closed. Keep in mind, I never once asked or was told about a Petland credit card to begin with. I was NEVER told that I would be submitting a credit application for a Petland credit card. When I ended up calling the sales representative who went through the process with me he told me it was in the fine print. I was supposed to only be applying to see what my preapproval rate would be if I wanted to take out a loan on a dog, which I didn't end up doing. So I go to Petland Rogers to buy a dog leash so my credit line that I never asked for doesn't close so it doesn't hurt my credit. The lady who helped me at the counter gave me the impression that I did not have a Petland account and that people who have a Petland account usually get a dog through them, which would explain why I was incorrectly somehow, I don't know how, given a Petland credit card. The process is long to check out and I had to sign papers for a dog leash somehow? Who needs to sign papers when buying a dog leash at a pet store? Whenever I swipe my Petland credit card, it seems like the cashier lady was having a lot of problems with her system. She had to pull me to the other register to get my first and last name, my email address and my phone number again. This leaves me to believe that because I never actually submitted an application for a Petland credit card in the first place, she wasn't able to run the transaction properly because I never had an account because I never asked for one. This was my first time trying to use my Petland credit card. And as a sidenote, because I'm feeling petty, honestly, if you do not use a Petland credit card and instead use a regular credit or debit card when paying for something they charge you the processing fee of 3.5% which they could easily pay for themselves like every other business. Which also brings me to the fact that whenever I called Petland Corporate office to ask about when my physical credit card would be delivered, it turns out they didn't even have an address for me. This is because I never actually submitted an application and I never gave my address to anybody. Which means I in fact, did not sign up for a credit card even if it was in the fine print like the salesman told me because they didn't even have a way to ship the card to me because they didn't have a delivery address for me. I removed my review the first time, but this is not the first time that I've had a negative experience at both of our local Petland locations. I feel like everybody should know about this. I am greatly disappointed at the systems and the staff at both Petland locations. I refuse to go to the Fayetteville location because of the negative experience I had with their salesman. And the only reason why I went today was because I needed to make a purchase on the card or else my account would be closed. And it turns out I didn't even get the discount on the treats that was on the sign at the front of the store... Very disappointing and honestly I'm not interested in somebody calling to "make things right". Please do not contact me.
