She didn't wag her tail, didn't come to me like she usually does, and was unusually quiet. Something felt off. That night she stayed calm at home, but the next morning, after just five minutes outside, she refused to walk. I noticed her paw was swollen and inflamed. The vet said it looked like trauma or possibly a burn around the nail bed, consistent with grooming-related injury. The salon later sent a photo of Daisy after the grooming, but it doesn't show her paws at all. That felt strange. When I called to share what happened and ask for accountability, the owner was cold, dismissive, and refused to take any responsibility or even acknowledge the concern. I'm not here to point fingers, but I do want to share my experience. Daisy is healing now, but this was and still is a painful and stressful experience for both of us. We have a new appointment at the vet.

What I loved about Suds is that there's no crate time. They start working on your dog as soon as you drop them off, and you can pick them up about two hours later when they're finished. Our experience was wonderful. Honestly, I was much more nervous than my dog was! The staff were very accommodating and reassured me that they would take things slowly with him. He was quite nervous during the grooming, but they were so patient and caring, and they did an excellent job. I had noticed some older reviews from about two years ago mentioning nips and cuts, which made me a little hesitant. However, our experience was completely different, and I'm so glad we gave them a try. The pricing is a little on the higher side, but I do think you're paying for a more premium, personalized experience. For us, it's absolutely worth it. She was very polite and honest with what could be done and not. I had trimmed her face earlier and boss lady wasn't any about telling me that I messed up lol. ("Why did you trim her body if you knew she was coming here!") I personally appreciate her forwardness, feels like home I hadn't had good luck with other groomers in the past. Yorkies can be hard to trim and shape due to their silky hair so I was very skeptical. I kept telling boss lady that I want her to look very cute. When I got her.... VERY cute.
