We bought a package deal for 3 personal trainings from Steph and it was money well spent. Steph came to our house to provide personal dog training to help us leash train our dog that is born and bred to run. She is VERY good with dogs! It was amazing seeing how quickly he responded to her which gave me confidence in her abilities. She provided me with some very good tools to work with my dog and he's doing some much better on leash. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Steph to anymore that needs behavioral training for their dog(s). Stephanie has worked complete magic with our two, energetic Manchester Terrier mixes... After reaching a point of desperation, my fiance and I reached out to Stephanie for help in training our completely unruly pups. Stephanie has been an incredible help!! She has come to our house a few times over the past couple of weeks and already the results have been incredible. We have been working to teach our dogs basic manners and how to behave around other animals (without going completely psycho). She has also shown us how to take control of situations when the dogs misbehave or get out of control. I have two rescued foster dogs, Lady and April (and had 8 of their puppies), who had no training. Stephanie was able to teach them basic obedience (they sat almost right away) and helped a lot with their bad habits (territorial issues and listening to me in general). I have had the moms now for quite a while and I can't imagine having to give them up when they find a new home. She also helped me deworm, trim nails, and flea treat all ten of them, not an easy thing to do when most of the puppies look the same. I found Steph and Ozzy online via Yelp and have been very pleased with our visits. Steph is very knowledgeable and personable, which made me feel at ease right away. My dog, a Yorkshire Terrier, can be quite stubborn. Steph has helped me become more confident in my interactions with him. She has given me many great tips and tools that have been proven helpful. Steph comes to my home and her fee's are significantly less than many other trainers in the area. I would recommend her to anyone who needs training or exercise for their dog....she does daily pack hikes (rain or shine) also for a reasonable fee. We hired Steph to help us with some bad behaviors our new was exhibiting including wanting to chase the cat. She is very personable with pets and people. It was amazing how good she was with our dog. Stephanie in a word is Fabulous! I would highly recommend her services. She is extremely knowledgeable and professional. Patient and gentle, but firm. It was amazing how fast she established a relationship with my dog so that he responded and respected her right away. (He's a pushy, stubborn alpah-male Havanese.) I was like, Wow, he doesn't do that for me! By the end of the session he was obeying me and I was confident that I had made the right choice in choosing Stephanie! I like that she comes to your home and works with both you and your dog; giving you the tools so you can keep working with your dog on his issues. She follows up with informational e-mails and reading suggestions. It's obvious she cares about you and your dog's success. Also obvious that she loves dogs and, most importantly understands their behavior and how to change it for the better. Stephanie is not just a trainer, but a doggie behavioral specialist. Her two dogs are impressively well trained and, as needed in my case, actually helped with my dog's behavior! I would highly recommend the pack hikes, whether your dog needs training or not. Steph is thoughtful, responsible, helpful, kind, patient and extremely caring to, not only our 2 dogs, but every other animal I have seen her with. We have now used Steph and Ozzy for over a year. These guys are AMAZING. Everything I said in my original review still stands, but more and more I am impressed with just how caring and considerate Steph and her employees are towards my doggie. If she gets overheated on a walk, they take care of it and let me know. If my dog seems especially agitated while I'm on vacation, they let me know. Steph is incredibly attuned to the needs of my dog, and my normally aloof dog loves her. It is such a wonderful feeling knowing that I can take off on vacation and not have to worry about my best friend while I am away. read more

We recently adopted a kitten and my 7 year old silky terrier has had a difficult time adjusting to her. He has been very obsessed and the few times we've tried to introduce them, he's lunged and tried to attacked her. I was completely desperate for help after the last interaction that did not go well at all. The vet gave us xanex for the dog to calm his anxiety, but I did not want to have to drug him up for weeks until he got used to her. I tried the xanex anyway out of desperation but that didn't work that well either. After getting really upset thinking we would have to return the kitten for her safety, I wanted to try one last thing to be sure he couldn't overcome his aggression/anxiety. Enter Stephanie. She made herself available almost immediately to come to our home for a 1 on 1 training session. She spent a good 30 - 45 minutes just getting to know our little Codee and seeing what his problems were and talking to us about the training methods. I could tell right away she knew what she was doing by how quickly my dog was reacting to her methods. Long story short, she did a wonderful job working with him, she got him to relax around the kitten by distractions and teaching me how to train him to that the kitten is to be left alone. She also worked with us on how to control is behavior on walks, which other trainers I've worked with have never given me methods that actually worked. Her training worked immediately and was so simple. I'm a little annoyed actually that I've paid other trainers a lot, to do what Stephanie taught me in 5 minutes. I feel so much better that he will be able to accept the kitten as a member of the household and I'm looking forward to working with her more. read more

Steph really knows dog behavior. Our puppy responded great to her energy. We had trouble with our puppy on a leash reacting to other dogs. She taught us many skills to help us get his attention during distracting times. I would recommend her to anyone with dog behavior issues or just training in general. read more

Cara has done a wonderful job with our dog Otto. She is knowledgeable, confident, and just a great person to work with. You can tell she loves dogs. She often stayed longer than the specified training time to work with Otto. We had another trainer who taught us the basics, but couldn't get past some of his more annoying habits. This was partly because all the training was in the classroom. Because Cara comes to your home, she can address all the problems as they happen in the dog's environment. Cara, with the help of Steph, gives us confidence that we will eventually have a very well-behaved German Shepherd. read more
