He was seen at petcos in CA before moving here. He is such a loving (though big) golden retriever. We will try another location to see if there are actual groomers who are wanting to do their job. Seems clear from our most recent experiences (and reading some of the other reviews) this location can't handle any dog. I should mention his ears and paws were soaked when picked up. He is prone to ear infections, which they know about. When we had taken him in with other groomers there he was there 3+ hours. Now, barely 2 hours. He seems really depressed now too. Poor buddy traumatized by the lack of care there

It was hot and my dog was not happy. I recommend the concept and next time I will call to let them know I'm here instead of relying on the app to tell them. I found a short clip of a woman who also has a brat with long nails, and she ingeniously wrapped her own head with shrink wrap of a sort, and then smeared peanut butter all over her shrink wrapped head, and her little bratty butt dog licked and licked away, while genius mommy took the moment of distraction to do the job. So I took off down the road to my neighborhood pet store, About Pets. And although, I did not return with peanut butter or shrink wrap, I did find a snuffle mat with a clever detachable silicone slab with grooves in it, AND suction cups, perfect for the dreaded and much feared bath day events of mine. Totally awesome. Anyway, none of that was important, but I felt the background details would be pleasant incase another Yelper has big bad scarcdy cats with such anxieties alike. But anyway x2, this locally owned pet store is great. Love it. The man behind the pet shoppe, Nole, freakin genius himself too. Real terrific guy. Know his stuff, very knowledgeable about pets. Quite opinionated, and I love an opinionated person. His tone and demeanor suggested we were bothering him extremely, so walked out said thank you and I apologize for interrupting your day. I've been shopping at BFC for our woodsy friends for many years. They also have most of our other outdoor "pets" covered, too - from rabbits to squirrels. They have also got supplies for dogs, cats, "indoor" pet birds, and other domesticated animals. In my experience, service is ALWAYS quick, helpful, and friendly. I've never had to return anything, but I would expect good service. The big box shops have the mass produced feed at, I think, sometimes lower prices, but it's worth it to us and our outdoor family to get the good stuff (and it's not always more money). The back wall at the register is also always a fun read -- they have a regularly changing wall with tons of humorous wood signs/plaques and they carry some other fun giftable items. I have done some present shopping here from time to time. (And, no - I did not give my wife a bag of bird seed for Christmas! That would have been more of a birthday thing...)
