We came here the day we got our pup. Store. Clean. Options. Great. Employees, all the employees I have interactions with were positive, and helpful. Fast forward about 3 weeks... We came back with our pup. They remembered my pup. :). Consistent service and knowledge and very welcoming. I have a petco and a petsmart and another small pet shop just a hop skip and a jump away... We've been coming to pet adventure for the past couple of years. Their staff is super knowledgeable, and friendly. My bulldog has food allergies. We had worked with our vet to try and figure out diet alterations to help minimize allergies and it was ultimately somebody from pet adventure who figured out the right food for our bully :) she's been on it for 1.5 years with no more allergy issues. They carry quality products, for a reasonable price as well. Glad to support this local pet place. read more

So, I only buy from locally for my pets. We adopted COVID-Shelter cats had no idea as we have always had farm critters. We bought our 2 cat carriers, all food, all litter, all wet food and toys from Pet Adventure. Apparently we brought the nicest cat carriers the shelter has ever seen. Everyone who works there is amazing and actually remembers our pets due to videos. Lol I have read reviews about pet products online and always find something bad. Pet Adventure has not done me wrong and my critters are weird. One even has medical problems but worth it. Always have updated toys and a great selection of products. They also have high quality products. Bonus they have a buy so many items get one free so I got a cat liter bag coming next time. :) read more

Two words to describe this store: Awe Some! They've recently moved into a new, larger space and they have so much stuff. This is where we buy my Chinese Crested's special food and all her chewy needs. The prices are reasonable, and the location is ideal. The staff is always very friendly and ALWAYS laughs at my bad jokes. In fact, the owner sees my bad jokes and usually raises me a pun! I swear that I wrote a review about this store before, if not, shame on me! I was more than happy when Pet Adventure opened in Mountlake Terrace. Where we used to have very slim pickens on the pet store front, now stands a large shop that has been put together so it is easy to shop with your 4-legged friend. The best part is that they carry the best assortment of quality dog & cat foods such as Evo, Go!, Now, ect. Their treat assortment is equally great and the toy selection is filled with serious pet fun and durable items for the most rambunctios of fur friends! No longer do I have to travel to Lake Forest Park or Canyon Park to find decent quality items for my rather large collection of pets. Another great part is that they are willing to look into ordering a product that they are missing. For me they brought in Whole Life Chicken and hopefully Sam's Yams will be there soon! All that and they love my dog, spoil him rotten with treats on each visit and now it's almost hard to go past without stopping in since he goes into hysterics everytime I drive down their street! read more

Overpriced. Large store, plenty of room, animal friendly, clean and well lit. If they don't stock something, they will order it for you. But... Up charges here on commonly available items seems standard. I came in for a bag of Wellness small bite dog food and the price was about a quarter more than anyplace else. Deciding that I'd just opt for 'anywhere else' on the food, I was there so I figured I'd look for a new toy for my dog. $8-12 for a small toy...I figured I'd keep looking. When I made for the door empty handed the owner noticed and kept pace with me as I was leaving. Thinly disguising his disdain for a no-purchase customer and wanting to know why I was leaving without having made a purchase, he ran the length of the store with me. I lied and said he didn't have the dog food I needed. Seriously, you know why I'm leaving. If you can't match industry prices then you only get business from people born yesterday and I ain't wear'in no diaper. PETCO is indeed where my pets will go. I certainly don't blame the owner, having your own business is not cheap and it's tough to compete with national giants like Target, Walmart and PETCO. Especially when your product lines mirror theirs. If this were a store catering to specialty items I could understand high prices but items here are fairly commonplace but just cost more. I've been in the pet care industry for several years and from a financial standpoint knowing how quickly pet supplies add up, it's easier to use a chain option to pay for animal care needs. read more

I cannot recommend Pet Adventure enough! Like many others we found ourselves adopting a dog in a COVID world. We weren't sure what kind of food she would like, it turns out you can return anything here if it doesn't work out! we have since bought a harness, leash, bed, everything for our dog here. They somehow manage to remember her every time we come in. The employees are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Pet Adventure's the image of what a local, neighborhood business should be. The owner's always there, radiates positive vibes & treats his employees like family - all of the staff make me feel like an extension of it every time I go in. They seem to personally know everyone, their pet, & what's up in life but a balance between chit chat & getting you in & out. I've never been rushed, felt ignored, or waited for help or in line to pay. The staff's knowledgeable, going out of their way to point you to resources & if they aren't 100% sure they'll tell you, & then quickly research while you shop. There's nothing worse than shelling out $ based off of a stores bad info, only to google it a week later & find out it's making whatever issue you were trying to resolve worse. 95% of prices are the same or lower then chains & special orders aren't subject to whether you're the only one buying. They're generous with samples, have manufacturers coupons frequently attached to products & have a sale section. Returns remind me of the honor system, when my dog won't play w/a toy they encourage me to bring it back - even if I've lost the receipt or it's past 30 days. They genuinely just want satisfied customers & I've frequently been told, "we just want you to be happy with what you buy," & "because you shouldn't have to pay a higher price here." Pet Adventure's a hidden gem & they've found a loyal customer for life. read more

I LOVE IT HERE! I brought my dog in the other day so he could help me buy him a toy -he's so picky and I got tired of trial of error purchasing. The customer service is wonderful! The associate (I didn't catch his name) was very friendly and offered my dog a treat, he offered suggestions, and we chatted about greyhounds. There was a decent variety of toys but I do wish there was a little more to choose from. My dog settled on a large stuffed salamander toy and I picked out a durachew bone for good measure. The total was about $30 which I thought was reasonable for the quality of products. I'm very happy with Pet Adventure and I'm sure will visit again soon. read more

Really good quality pet food. Very nice employees and some weekends they host pets from the local shelters that need adopting. I couldnt give my cairn terriers any dry food with corn grains, it was causing them to scratch like mad. Pet Adventure is the only place around that carries non grain dry foods, all natural meat instead. Dogs love it, and their skin cleared completely up since the switch. read more

I just adopted two kittens, so I went to Pet Adventure for kitten food because I knew they would have high-quality food and they have always been helpful in the past. The gentleman who works there gave me an overview of all the kitten foods and pointed out the different attributes of each brand. He also helped me find a healthier food that my adult cat (currently eating Meow Mix - yuck) might find acceptable. Friendly, helpful, decent selection for the size of store, and good prices. This store is all I can ask for in a pet store, all the canned and kibble animals should have, a variety of toys from the better manufacturers along with a broad range of treats. In full disclosure, the store is about a mile from my house, and I am friendly with the staff and owner. One place that this store excels in is the quality of their treats, seeking good sources, avoiding Chinese products and a good selection of bulk treats, which currently includes sheep ears, a great lower calorie treat for small dogs or a short chew for bigger dogs. read more

I love that they always hire real-looking Santas during the holidays so I can get decent pictures of my babies every year. I also love the fact that they don't have a revolving door of staff and I get to know them by name and vice versa. The staff are also pretty knowledgeable about the products they carry. Great selection. Pricy compared to junk pet food shops, like Wal Mart. The gal who works there is seriously unbelievably knowledgeable about pet food. It's insane. I threw lots of questions to her in discussion about my dogs food allergies and sensitivities and stuff and she had lots of ideas for me. I am rating 4 and not 5, because I have gone in there once a month for 2 years and the owner doesn't even recognize me (seems petty, but it seems like by now he should know my name?). The layout of the store is a little hard to follow with the sideways aisles, and there isn't very good signage. All the stuff you care about mostly, like the products, though? On point. read more

Our five cats love all of the great folks at Pet Adventure! Not they have ever met any of them face to face - but it is love by association. They provide us with such great, tasty and healthy food for them - terrific toys - and their favorite cat tree as well.
