This was after the vet put our dog to sleep and cleaned his severed wound up. This is just one section of his leg.

PLEASE DO NOT BOARD YOUR DOG HERE We boarded our dog for a little over a week. I called to check on my dog and they said to me "they were meaning to call me" and told me that our dog was licking himself. They assured us they are watching out for it. When we got our puppy back, they wrapped his leg up so tight, it severed his skin and left a gash that was filled with dried blood and hair. My vet had to put him to sleep to get it cleaned out and proceeded to call this place and tell them how unacceptable this was. We have been trying to get a hold of them for weeks and when I threatened legal action, we got a call back and they said they were not taking responsibility for anything. The dogs stay in cages ALL day unless you add enhancements for an extra cost. PLEASE DON'T TAKE YOUR PUPPY HERE. Go to a place that will care for them and not neglect them!!!

I was afraid to leave him alone and I was at my whits end. Then Tamara saved the day. I sent my "little" anxious boy to her and he came back a big brave boy. We did a 4 week board and train with her and it was worth every penny. He is like a completely different dog now. He can relax now both inside the house as well as out on adventures now. Now every time he wants to panic, he looks to me first, and he see's that I am fine and settles right down. Honestly I have been recommending Tamara to everyone I can. She was beyond patient with both my little anxiety pup, as well as with me (texting her almost daily to check in). The fact that she made a custom training plan just around his special anxiety needs was amazing. Since he came home he has been a dream. We even did a weekend out at the beach and he came every time I called (this dog had zero recall before Tamara). Tamara still checks in to see how my pup is doing and it's that extra thoughtful layer of caring that I can honestly say I will be sending him back to her for boards as well as her amazing Trecking paws hiking club. If you are anxious yourself about getting a lending paw to help your pupper call Tamara. She is the right call to make. She takes the worry out of giving your fur baby to someone with her thoughtfulness, calm demeanor, and skill to see exactly what your dog needs.

I had met with other trainers and actually been turned away because they said they could not work with us. Bramble and I had been in conflict for about 18 months by the time we met Tamara. He was incredibly leash reactive, guarded both myself and his resources (food/his kennel), and wouldn't allow people to enter our home. He reacted with snapping and biting if asked to do anything that wasn't in his agenda (which was many things due to his anxiety). I had practiced overly gentle positive reinforcement with him and avoided situations that triggered him; instead of helping, this made his behavior far worse. Tamara clocked Bramble's issues after less than 30 minutes when they met (although she took plenty of time with us to exchange questions and get a full picture of our situation). She was confident and comfortable handling him and didn't let him bully her like he was bullying me and my partner. I could tell that Bramble responded to her handling right away as well. Bramble did 4 weeks of B&T that completely changed our lives. Tamara helped him face progressively more challenging situations to build confidence, trained fantastic recall using e-collar tone and stim, worked with his comfort being handled and groomed, and returned a dog that was ready to work together with me going forward. I am so grateful to Tamara and Doglingual for giving Bramble and me a second chance at a happy life together. I've been able to continue training him with Tamara's guidance, and I know that we will continue to grow because she gave him the foundation he needed to really enjoy being a dog.

Jack assured us that they would be safe and taken care of, and my family went to our respective hotels and to work. On the morning of 9/9, my partner received a phone call from Country Kitty, so I called them back to find out what was happening. I was informed that one of our cats had escaped and was nowhere to be found. They had placed three intact-clawed cats in an enclosure with only a screen door between them and their "inescapable" outdoor run and then left them there without checking on them for at least 16 hours. Jack informed us he had checked on them at 4pm on Wednesday, only four hours after I dropped them off, and then did not look in on them again until the morning. The phone call came in around 9am on Thursday. I sent my parents to pick up the remaining four cats. Three of the cats, including the missing one, are theirs, and two are mine. The missing cat belongs to my father, who is absolutely devastated by this. When they arrived, understandably upset by the situation, instead of giving them an apology, Jack began complaining about the damage to the screen door. One single live trap was set in the yard behind the enclosure the cats were in. My partner and I returned to Country Kitty today with some of my father's worn clothing to bait live traps, and again Jack met us with nothing but rudeness and attitude. It took nearly an hour of argument for him to agree to purchase more live traps to set around the property. We came to Country Kitty in a crisis and trusted them to care for our animals, who to us are as important as human family members. A screen door is completely inadequate as a barrier to keep clawed cats indoors, and he also had been planning to let my indoor-only cats out into the outdoor run that has no top enclosure without informing or asking me if that was okay. The outdoor run has no top covering, and the only means of keeping cats from jumping out is that the top of the fence is folded back in towards the center of the enclosure. However, in the middle of the run within easy jumping distance of the folded back part of the fence, is a tall climbing structure, which is obviously how our cat got out. Also, in the middle of a crisis where there are active fires and smoke everywhere outdoors, one would think that taking all precautions to keep animals inside would be at the forefront of a boarding service's policies. And even with all of this notwithstanding, not checking on the animals for SIXTEEN HOURS is completely unacceptable. Do not take your cats here. Ever.
