Because I was going to manage a LOT of moving parts to get this guy back to Oregon! Both Angie and J were so available and kind and took a lot of phone calls while I wrassled with how to get timid Lou home (in cabin, in baggage); in the end Angie brought Lou to OGG curbside when I flew over from O'ahu and nabbed him, navigated security (GREAT KINDNESS from TSA people) and hopped back to HNL to catch my mainland flight! Can't say enough about these kind people. Lou is a wonderful cat, he's doing great, five weeks along since he's had food, love and care -- he's a normal weight, glossy fur, happy as a clam and having his true kittenhood, now that he's safe and warm!! You don't need a reservation for nail trimming or other selection services. They open at 10 AM on Sunday's so it makes it convenient to take my dog in, he loves going to see these guys. I will ask him if he wants to go to the groomer he gets excited. They are very quick but do a good job. On Maui it is not easy finding a good groomer as i have had several over the years and they move or go out of business and I don't like taking my dogs to the big box stores. I prefer to give my money to smaller local business. Every time I go these guys are friendly and always in a cheerful mood and they take good care of my fur baby. I am definitely going to take my baby back for other services. I usually wash him but have considered taking him for a bath or a flea bath as I don't always have as much time on my hands. I highly recommend these folks because they do a good job and are not too expensive. The only thing is I wish they were closer as I live in haiku and it is a drive as they are located in Happy Valley.

I drive my bulldog 40 minutes there and back and trust me when I say I would not usually make that kind of trek but for Holly, I'm more than happy to! She takes excellent care of my dog-son, he's always so visibly pleased to see her though he tends to be a bit timid usually but he already knows her and feels at ease coming to the grooming location. The grooming in itself is truly the best he's ever had (he spent the first four years of his life in the Bay Area and has seen quite a few skilled groomers).
