We saw so many amazing fish and one of the coolest things they explained was how the colours of your clothes actually change the deeper you go. It sounds like such a small thing, but seeing it happen in front of you was really interesting. We also got to see a sunken ship that has become a home for so many fish, and there were even sharks around it. This is definitely one of those Hawaii experiences I would recommend doing. Thanks for getting us in before our trip was over and hope the business is still going after the fires (we went before the fires happened). We found the Dolphin Watch Sail Deluxe which was perfect. And there were dolphins! Literally hundreds of spinner dolphins all over the place just offshore. What a treat. The kids were thrilled. The first thing the captain when he saw them was called all the kids up to the (trampoline) on the front so that they could see the dolphins underneath. The kids were so excited. It was amazing. The boat was spacious for the number of people we had on the tour. Maybe 30? Just a guess. There were lots of seats indoors and outdoors, and people tended to move around quite a bit. The staff were wonderful. They told us about the animals that we saw: spinner, dolphins, green sea turtles, and monk seals. There was also a photographer who took pictures of family groupings. They weren't cheap, $90, but she took so many of our family. It was totally worth it. They served lunch, snacks, and drinks. My only suggestion is that it might be worth a thought for them to eliminate the lunch entirely. There was nothing wrong with it. Pork sandwiches and salad were great, but I just don't see how it's necessary given that the tour left at 1:30. That seemed to keep the staff pretty busy and maybe needlessly? We started to trip with cinnamon rolls and they provided really great gluten free muffin for me. Then made sure to always provide GF food options for me throughout the day. Snorkeling was fun and accessible because they had prescription masks available, which is a must if you cannot/do not wear contacts and want actually see the ocean life. We had a plenty of time to float and observe the fish. Lunch was delish and they prepared some tasty gluten free noodles JUST for me. On the way back, one of our daughters helped hoist the sail and we were able to catch the wind of a bit. We also had the good fortune of observing a pod of Hawaiian spinner dolphins on the way to and back from Lana'i. Book this trip! It is SO worth it!!!
