A corrado is a Spanish beverage consisting of roughly an equal amount espresso and steamed (not frothy) milk to reduce acidity. I honestly was wondering how a coffee shop could have a 4.9 star review on yelp. I quickly found out why. As we walked in, we were greeted by the owner. A very nice South African lady. She was very friendly and really seemed to care about the shop so I was right and assuming she was the owner. We ordered a few coffees mocha's and a brownie. Everything was really good. I was going to the George & Provision Coffee but I saw how packed the place is, so I needed to look for another coffee shop close by. And I am so glad I found this spot! (It was about 10am on a Saturday, i.e. time for farmers market, surprise, surprise). The staff were super nice. The coffee was great. There were not a lot of people (or people usually come in for takeouts) and there were a lot of open tables so it was a perfect spot for me to do some journaling while I drank the coffee. I ordered the hazelnut latte, coffee cake and the prosciutto & swiss toasted sourdough. The coffee cake was good but it was a little bit sweet imo. Honestly I am picky and this place is great. As everyone has mentioned, the owner is incredibly hospitable. Definitely the highlight. I got a black forest mocha, and the mocha is very unique and yummy! Also, the chorizo quiche was to die for. Don't hesitate to check this place out! read more

I stopped in through the drive-thru for a cortado, but was also intrigued by the food offerings! I inquired about the Malva muffin and the barista and he mentioned it was a South African dessert that contained apricot... and then he didn't need to say anything else because I immediately added it to my order haha! Service was quick but the cortado was made very well/not rushed, and the barista included a little container of whipped cream in the box with the Malva muffin since he mentioned it complimented it well, and he wasn't lying! I ended up chatting with Luka, the owner, and he's genuinely one of the kindest, most welcoming people you'll meet. He took the time to talk coffee with me, share some insight about the beans, and made the whole experience feel personal, not transactional. I ordered the quiche and a drip coffee, both were fantastic. The coffee was smooth and well balanced, and the quiche was fresh and flavorful. I liked it so much I grabbed a bag of beans to take home. Gas Coffee is one of my favorite spots in Coppell and a coffee shop worth seeking out. It's owned by a wonderful, genuinely kind family, and they make it a point to welcome everyone who walks in. It's not a welcome in a superficial or performative way, but with genuine hospitality and care. It sets the vibe for the whole place. The coffee is excellent, but the people are what stand out. Audrey is especially great at listening to what you like and coming up with something that matches your taste. I've had a few drinks there that started as "I'm in the mood for something like..." and ended up being exactly right. Americano with half n half, Milk tart, and Iced Americano - this is what we had and they were all very good! The hot americano had a smooth finish and was a nice nutty feel. The iced americano was more acidic tasting so depending on your liking you can decide which one you want to try. The milk tart was really special and very delicious. The crust tasted like a shortbread, the filling had a smooth and custard consistency, and the scent was very vanilla-y and cinnamon-y. The portion was enough to share between 2-3 people. Found this coffee shop by looking for local roasters and they came up! If you're an avid coffee drinker, this is the place for you. No frills or sugar bombs, just amazing and fresh coffee. I live in arguably the most diverse and complete area for quality coffee shops so when we came to visit Dallas for a sports tournament I was PLEASANTLY surprised by this little gem. The quality of the coffee is top notch and the baked goods are above average with nice variety. The decor and drive-thru made the visit even more enjoyable. Perhaps the best thing about Gas Coffee is the owner, she was so warm and friendly that I will absolutely be sending all my friends and family to visit when they are in Dallas. Ambiance is very good, a black and white themed coffee shop that also sells roasted bean blends and assorted coffee equipment. I was floored by the coffee, food and service at this location. I dined in with my wife and a friend on a busy Saturday. I wanted my americano in their stylish gray cup and they delivered. I really loved the coffee. They offered the cream in its own separate small pitcher which was really a nice touch. My wife ordered the cream tart, something we hadn't seen before. It was absolutely delicious and the cream filling reminded me of a milky custard. An online search of how to make such a thing revealed cream tart is a traditional South African treat, which is where the owners of Gas Coffee are from. They brought their treats with them all the way to Coppell and my tummy was happy as a result. ALL their pastries in the case looked amazing, and they even offered low-carb egg bites as well. The staff came to our table on more than one occasion to ask if we were satisfied, if we needed anything and to help clear our table. I didn't expect that level of service much less on a busy day. It made us feel they really care about their customers. The only downside was that the interior of the restaurant was small and there were too many chairs in the space so that it felt crowded. It was quite loud with not much sound insulation. The ordering area has really neat decor but the seating area felt it needed something to make it more cozy and comfortable. I know Gas opened recently, and if they can pull this off, this could become one of my favorite coffee spots. I really loved visiting Gas Coffee and can't wait to come back. read more
