Stumbled upon this little gem! Food... fresh and exceeded expectations. Service was awesome. Great vibe and great patio. Live music was happening... single artist that was also amazing. Find the local places, y'all. Worth it every time.

I was very excited to try Paxton Pub after reading all the glowing five-star reviews. I am disappointed to report that my experience was not on par with the rest of the reviewers. We stopped in for dinner on a Saturday evening. Aside from a half dozen regulars at the end of the bar and one table outside, we were the only ones there. We started by ordering a couple of simple drinks at the bar while we decided what to get for dinner. I went with a Bulleit Bourbon Old Fashioned, and my date ordered a Crown and Ginger Beer. With each drink order, the bartender asked if we wanted "more alcohol." Not really sure exactly what that meant, we both said, "sure, I guess...". We would later find out that we were authorizing a "5 oz long pour" instead of a standard pour which didn't taste any different, but carried a $3-$3.50 price difference. By the time our drinks were poured, we were ready to order our entrees. The pictures of the pizza online looked 5 I had to try the pepperoni. My date loves mac & cheese and could not pass up a chance to try their variation served with a couple of garlic toast points. After taking our order, the bartender handed us a number, and we chose a seat where we could watch some college football on one of the many screens. We both enjoyed the drinks and agreed that they were made near perfectly for our tastes. Our food came out about ten minutes after we sat down. Both the pizza and the mac & cheese looked amazing, just like the pictures. I am sad to report that the flavor seemed to be lost somewhere along the line. The pizza tasted like something from the freezer isle at the grocery store, but not the kind that is actually good. The mac & cheese was just slimy and flavorless. I had been thinking about ordering a "funeral potato" pizza to go just to try it, but after realizing that the food is likely just heated up instead of being prepared fresh to order, I decided to pass on the extra adventure. We finished our drinks and the food and settled up at the bar. The tab for two drinks, a pizza, and mac & cheese totaled $50.57 after tax and before tip. The place was clean enough. There seemed to be a lot of employees just standing around. The regulars were drunk and obnoxious, but that is to be expected at any good local bar. They committed a cardinal sin of changing the TV station to hockey while the Utes were playing USC at the same time. Maybe we stopped in on an off night, but the experience was not enough to earn a second visit from me.

The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. Service was quick, and everyone made us feel right at home after a morning of traveling. One of the best surprises was the $4 Bloody Marys such a great deal, and they were delicious. I also tried the Amber beer, which was smooth, flavorful, and paired perfectly with lunch. The food was excellent all around. The fish and chips were crispy, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The wedge curly fries were a huge hit at our table and are a must-order. The kids' mac and cheese came in a very generous portion and easily could have been shared. The standout for me was the Great American Bison Burger. It was cooked perfectly, packed with flavor, and one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Between the friendly staff, great food, reasonable prices, and relaxed atmosphere, Squatters was a fantastic start to our Park City trip. We would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a casual meal and great local beer.

Really good spot! Some friends introduced me to this place…read more We didn't have any cocktails or beer since we're not good day drinkers, haha. But the food was delicious. We had the pork shank and the chicken schnitzel. The pork shank came with spatzle and red cabbage-excellent dish. The chicken schnitzel was pretty good. It had a fresh taste to it and even a little lemon-y, which didn't make the fried cutlet taste too rich. It came with mashed potatoes, gravy and veggies. The veggies were your basic steamed veggies, but the dish was overall good. Service was great-server was attentive and the manager came around as well to check on us. I think it would be fun to come here for Oktoberfest, since the inside has a good ambiance.

Unless I'm on vacation or if it's a…read morespecial occasion, I don't really drink anymore and I don't visit breweries as much as I used to back in the day. We're staying in South Jordan and visited Bohemian Brewery in Midvale for dinner after getting checked into and dropping our bags off at our hotel. The brewery is easy to find but the entrance into the parking lot can be easier to miss. We walked inside and were seated immediately since it wasn't busy for a Thursday night. Along with some outdoor seating, additional seating can be found upstairs if it gets really busy. They have lots of alcohol choices and a massive cocktail list; their spring/summer cocktail list is available now. One cocktail they have I thought was clever was The Ghost of Burt Reynolds. We ordered a beer flight that consisted of the following beers; Cherny Bock (Czech black lager), Noble Hefeweizen (German-style Hefe), Bohemian Weiss (unfiltered wheat lager), and Viennese Amber (malty amber lager). Out of all these, my favorites were the Noble Hefeweizen and the Viennese Amber beers. For food, I got the Margherita pizza and my LTP got the Reuben sandwich with fries on the side. We had just completed a nearly six hour long drive to Utah from Nevada and I ended up finishing the entire pizza, which is a rare thing for me to do when I go out to eat. My LTP, on the other hand, who ALWAYS finishes everything on his plate, was the complete opposite. He could only finish one part of his sandwich and half his fries before deciding to take it back with him. I really enjoyed the European-style feel of this place. The interior is very similar to that of a ski lodge, complete with a fireplace in the downstairs dining area. I would love to come back to Bohemian Brewery during our next trip to Utah.

There is a parking lot right by it but it's for another business and they will tow, so be sure to read the signs where you park. The vibe here is giving dive bar for sure. They have pool and darts. They also had a stage so I figure they have music or mic night. They have a covered patio downstairs as well as an upstairs one that gets sun. They have a lot of umbrellas so you aren't sitting directly in the sun but can still enjoy the nice weather. It also has lots of mirrors which give it a cool vibe and make it a good spot for pics. As for the food and service, it was a little all over the place. Our server seemed pretty flustered the whole time. I ordered a Diet Coke and the upstairs machine wasn't working. The first one that was brought out was incredibly flat. The second one was from the machine downstairs, and it wasn't great but it was drinkable. My friends got coffee and said it was good. They have $2 mimosas. They are definitely a smaller size but good for the price!! The food took a long time to come out and there were a few things missing. We also had a couple mimosas we ordered that were initially forgotten but brought after the second or third ask. The food itself was just meh. It's dive bar food. The potatoes were amazing though!! Everything is pretty inexpensive. I'd recommend this as a fun option for a group of friends to hang.

Trivia: Pappy is special because of its wheat and extended aging process and limited selection…read more What is Pappy? At Whiskey Street, I had two issues: I ordered a salad and it never arrived. My wagyu steak came out and I was irritated that the salad hadn't come first. But then the salad didn't come at all. Bummer. And the steak was questions all around. First they didn't know what cut of steak it was. "It's Wagyu" they said, as if all that mattered was where it came from. And just to make sure I wasn't an idiot, I looked up to make sure that Wagyu, like other beef, had various cuts. And the meal was rather salty. And the steak was far closer to rare than medium. And it was served au poivre style, which I would have like to have known. Service was excellent. The Scottish Old-Fashioned excellent. The libation selection is unparalleled. My first thought in walking in was yay! It has such great personality, even a bartender with a handle mustache! Quite on a mid Saturday afternoon. What makes a good Benedict is the sauce and this one didn't disappoint. Usually I ask that the sauce be on the side but this time I forgot and trust me, that was ok. One of the best I've had that even made a great compliment to the very tasty potatoes. Don't worry, the potatoes were great on their own! Nice touch of flavor, soft inside and crisp outside.
