We didn't like that, but there was nothing we could do. We were told the crew would call us an hour before they arrive. We eventually got a call and were told they can't come and want to reschedule for Monday. That's not an option because we do not currently live at the residence and we work during the week. This is why we scheduled a Saturday and we even left the entire day open for them because they didn't know when exactly they would be coming. Then some sketchy guy with an unlisted number called us and said he was referred to us by John (no idea who that is). He said to reschedule the job with Barrys and this guy named Kevin would come and do the job for much cheaper today. He said definitely don't cancel the appointment - just reschedule. It was super weird, but we were desperate. In the end, no one showed up. Still don't know who Kevin or John are, but considering we only contacted one company about the floors, we are guessing someone from Barrys contacted them. This is just a terrible way to run a business.

They have chairlifts so we had the chairlift company come in the morning to remove the chairlift and then reinstall it at the end of the day.(which cost hundreds of dollars) The only way my mother can go up to the bedroom and bathroom! Taub showed and everything seemed fined and they proceeded to install the carpet- Well they were installing the wrong carpet and when we realized it - we had a choice either take a ridiculous refund of some monies off -or having the inconvenience of redoing everything and redoing the chairlifts - more of an expense - And by the way they insisted they had given us the right carpet - The difference was night and day - One was a lavish thick carpet the other a real basic carpet - The chairlift company was standing over my parents saying he had to put it back and they were basically under the gun - so they chose to take monies off - not what they wanted but felt they better take this awful carpet!! They are so unhappy with their choice - They ended up with sub superior carpet that they want to kick themselves - but felt they were taken advantage of ! THEY ARE TOTALLY UNHAPPY WITH THEIR DECISION SINCE THIS IS NOT THE CARPETING THEY HAD PICKED !! I beleve Taub knew this all along about their mistake although they denied it at first !! My parents were cornered into making this decision. DO NOT TRUST TAUB CARPET AND TILE !!! Be smart .... GO ELSEWHERE!!!!

Glenn gave us 3-4 choices (he had 100s to chose from) so we weren't overwhelmed. Glenn stopped by our house to check our measurements (he wouldn't trust mine until he verified them himself). Installation was great. Three guys who knew what they were doing and who cut up the old carpeting (saving me a piece which I asked them to do). They came on time and worked continuously until finished. I am very happy with the result and would not hesitate to recommend them.

I needed to get the hinges replaced on a noisy inside door of my house (the joys of being a new homeowner), and I got several responses from contractors across Yelp. Andrei's stood out both because it was the lowest price quote, and he had the best reviews of any other respondent. It seemed a little too good to be true, but I figured it was worth taking a chance. I'm glad I did, because Andrei IS too good to be true, and yet he exists. Excellent communication, punctual, thorough and completely self-sufficient, the hinge replacement process started off great. Then, after expertly replacing the hinges, and even sanding a bit at the base of the door where it caused the door to stick when opening and closing, he checked to see how the door opened and closed - the door was now blissfully quiet, but still stuck, and he identified the door latch and plate as needing to be adjusted. Above and beyond! The door works perfectly now, it's literally like a new door. And because the door was to my mother-in-law's bedroom, having Andrei provide this superlative service scored me a few points with her (well, at least for a few hours, until she found something else to grumble about). He also left the space clean, and was very courteous from start to finish. I am so thrilled to have found Andrei, because as a new homeowner, I am discovering fun new surprises in the house that I purchased late last year all the time. Now I know just who to turn to when the surprise is too much for my husband or I to handle on our own.

There was also an uneven slab of concrete beyond the porch line that needed to be removed. We were so delighted to find SJM Tile and Masonry who were able to complete both jobs at the same! This kept costs down for us and made the process much more straightforward. From the first time I reached out, Dana made me feel like we were in great hands. Patient, understanding, happy to answer any question, and always quick to respond. Shawn and his team were also fantastic to work with. Shawn gave us advice on the right kind of tile and what would be needed for installation to be a long term success, and was thoughtful and very knowledgeable. Though a fairly small job for them, it was a big deal to us, and every step of the way we felt like they were also thoughtful as to how tile choice, grout choice, etc. would impact the appearance of our property. We couldn't be happier with the experience and absolutely love the transformation. The work they did looks amazing and we're so pleased we found them! We will definitely rely on them for any future tiling job in our home!

I was referred to Payless Carpet and Tile by an interior designer who used this company in her business and her personal residences many times over. The moment I entered the establishment I knew that I had selected the right place for my window treatments and carpeting. The owner, Vinny, listened to my ideas and used my upholstery fabrics to walk me through the process. He gave me plenty of samples to take home and there was never any sales pressure. Relying on Vinny's forty years of experience, my family and I selected and ordered his favorites. We couldn't have been happier; the room came out fabulous! The carpeting and the blinds came quickly. The installation went like clockwork with absolutely no glitches. The technicians were capable, respectful, clean, and COVID-19 observant. We were thrilled! I cannot recommend Payless Carpet and Tile any more highly. The service was top notch and the prices were great. Throughout the process, I always felt that I was receiving the "best" service from every perspective. There is no reason to shop for carpeting, tile, or window treatments any place else. My husband and I went to Payless Carpet & Tile and were greeted by friendly and knowledgeable sales people. We wanted carpeting for our basement and playroom. The sales rep.Anthony showed us a few choices that were better suited for what we needed,Even though they were less expensive than a few of the beautiful rugs we were previously looking at. They weren't trying to push the most expensive rugs, or products on us like the other stores who just wanted to make money off us.So, making a decision was easy.My home was completed the next day and their installers were very neat and professional. We got so many compliments and the price was so reasonable, that we decided to do the rest of our house. We highly recommend Payless Carpet and Tile. When I couldn't decide on carpet for 4 rooms, Vinny helped me choose using his extensive interior design background. When it came to choosing flooring for the kitchen, he just eyeballed the room and knew exactly what color and pattern would work. If you need floor covering for your home or business Payless Carpet & Tile is the place to go to for your flooring needs. There is a plethora of samples to choose from and the sales persons are gracious, well informed and a pleasure to work with. I have relied on this company for many products through the years including area rugs, vinyl tile and wall to wall carpets. As far as I am concerned, this is the only place to shop for floor coverings. The pricing is right, the service is great and the quality is Grade "A." Second time I have used these guys and they are great again. Leveled my basement floor and made it look awesome. No supervision needed and done in a few days.
