When we were ready eight months later, the company we called couldn't honor the prices previously quoted since prices for materials went up. This company didn't come to my house, they provided tutorial on how to take measurement and then I came to La Verne to choose material. About a year ago, I starting "attempting" to build a patio cover for my home out of wood. This was after meeting with a local company that does aluminum patio covers. After meeting with them, I said to myself... "I can do this myself but I will make it out of wood". One year later, the cover never got finished and I had found that, No, I could not do it myself!!! With that, I then began researching aluminum "DIY" patio cover kits. I immediately came across Payless Patio and Russ. I submitted an online request for a quote utilizing his recommended methods and materials. Within 1 hour, I had received a response from Russ with a basic price recommendation for what I was looking to do. I had a lot of questions and even for a short period of time considered replacing an existing gazebo we had in our back yard utilizing the Alumawood material. The entire time, whether we were corresponding via email, text messages or phone calls, Russ was always there to answer my questions and provide me with the information that I was looking for in a quick and very helpful manner. Even though I was looking for a DIY kit, Russ never made me feel like I should be using a professional to do my job and was very supportive of assisting me with anything I needed to know to complete my DIY job with 100% success. Russ was also helpful in assisting me to determine the correct footing required for a free standing post that was required for my installation that I discovered during my layout process. When I finally settled upon the final product for my project, Russ was very quick at getting me the required contracts and purchase order in hand so that my order could be placed. Once the paperwork was completed, my order was submitted that same day to the factory... and this was even while he was travelling out of town for the weekend!!!
