Store is well organized and staff was friendly. This place is better than GameStop. We left with several games all well priced. I'm sure this won't be their last time visiting. I've purchased many games here and two consoles thus far, most recently a PlayStation 4 Pro. This console is clean, pristine, and doesn't have a single speck of dirt in the vents. That is incredibly rare - especially with a used item. Calico clearly refurbishes and takes good care of their consoles, unlike most places who just pawn off whatever they take in. Their game discs are practically brand new, even used, all of the discs I purchase have zero scratches to the naked eye, and play flawlessly. The prices are incredible, you can get like-new premium games for $4.99+, and that is absolutely fantastic worth. The PlayStation 4 Pro I purchased was $180 - an absolute beast of a deal! Little did I know I'd walk out today with a BRAND NEW WII! We got a Wii (it also included Wii Fit) and purchased a LOT of games too. The Wii was a huge part of my childhood and unfortunately the one I owned growing up was damaged and thrown away (gasp... I know! But not my fault)! Anyways, the worker there today (had on a My Chemical Romance hat & had some cool tattoos) helped us out today. I didn't get their name, but they were very nice and extremely helpful. The pricing here? Out of this world. It was so affordable to snag over 10 games and a brand new Wii. That's not something you'll get at Game Stop! On top of it, they offer a military discount (we couldn't use it but it's good to know for anyone who can)! This place is also dog friendly and I got to meet a cute dog named Bowie (I wonder if he's a regular)! All and all, I wish this place were located in Los Angeles. I stopped in here on a whim to have my Pokémon cards evaluated. While that isn't something that…read morethey usually do for a set (they evaluate/buy individual cards), the people in the store put aside some time to educate me on the different cards I had and their possible value. You can tell that this store has people who are really passionate about what they do And are not just run if the mill employees. They took the time to tell me about several of my individual cards, show me how to find their value online and gave me recommendations as to where I could sell them. We chatted about the cards - mine are from the Field Of Dreamz Festival at PetCo park 6/13/26. His store was full of everything from Pokemon to Magic. He mentioned that he went to School with Kyle STOOPID! How rad is that! Come and support a local Point Loma, Ocean Beach community business owner! The value was priceless since he was so friendly and gifted me the card protectors. There was a big variety of prices, things that were collectible and tings for the beginning collector.
