Chicken Caesar Wrap, Dessies Green Beans

Exploring some of the more recommended restaurants in the Clarksville area that I've yet to try out, we made our way to Pbody's for a recent summer day out and about in the area. It's located in a country club on a golf course and not particularly helpfully labelled on the outside but easy enough to find. Nice on the inside, friendly service. The menu is quite extensive but mostly in the same wheelhouse--other than "Tarcos" (Americanized tacos)--southern, fried, burgers, American fare. Several items I'd like to try if we're ever here again. We kept it simple for lunch this time. I had the chicken tenders (lunch portion) with the fries, added a side of mac and cheese. My wife had the chicken wrap and an order of green beans. We also had the TN BBQ spring rolls as an appetizer, and the complimentary house-cut and cooked potato chips. The chicken tenders were good--tasted freshly cooked, tasted like real chicken that had been hand dipped and fried. The fries were super crispy. Mac and cheese gooey and pretty good. The housemade chips are good, the BBQ spring rolls were probably the best thing we tried. My wife enjoyed the wrap and appreciated the chicken was well seasoned and they didn't rely on overdoing the sauce to cover the flavor. She thought her green beans a bit too salty, but not terribly so. I'd like to try the desserts some time, we were way too full this time. I'd say this was a strong "3", a 3.5 if Yelp allowed for such ratings. Given another visit or two to try other things possibly a "4" in time. Friendly service, very fair prices, dependable southern cooking.

1st time here and I would definitely recommend! Staff, service and food were all great! Me and my husband decided to try and new place today for our "day date" and we are so glad we did! The restaurant was clean and we had a nice view. I had the lunch catfish with fried okra and he had the shrimp tarcos. They give u some complimentary homemade chips. We took banana pudding to go and it is also delicious!

Why is everything either overly salty or bland? If you're going to eat here, only get a burger or sandwich. It's the only thing we've ever gotten off their menu that's worth eating. This is the second time I've ordered, and I wish I had remembered the first order. I wouldn't have ordered a second time if I had remembered the tragic green beans again. My husband said we had ordered before, but it wasn't memorable, and now, based on my opinion, it was horrible enough that I blocked it out. He loves their burgers, and I must say, every time he's ordered one, it looks fantastic. However, if you're going to order anything else, be advised their sides are atrocious and certainly aren't fresh by any stretch of the imagination. Their green beans reek of soy sauce, and Worcestershire. They don't taste like southern green beans; they taste like a salty, disgusting, mess! I'm more than positive that they originated out of a can before being soaked in some kind of soy sauce brine! I ordered their okra, which was subpar and oddly underseasoned, reminding me of something that came out of a bag. I also tried their "honey squash", which gives you zero indication it will come fried, burnt, heavily breaded and disgusting. I don't know where the honey part cames in because it wasn't sweet; it was just overly breaded, bland, fried yellow squash. A very misleading representation of what I thought would be sautéed in someway with a honey glaze, not the case! I also got their half rack of ribs with their Pbody sauce, which I don't know what to make of it. I was forced into wiping it off because it had too much vinegar and salt, nothing like a traditional barbecue sauce. I also think they brine them and either left them in a little too long or their brine ratio is horribly off because even the meat was horribly salty. Someone needs to control the sodium levels because my blood pressure was through the roof two ribs in, it was disgusting. I wish we had a Jim and Nick's near, hands down their ribs are fantastic. Heck, I've had better ribs sold outside of a Kroger's before. In summary, they're good at making burgers, but anything else is subpar at best. Worthy of a Gordon Ramsay kitchen nightmare episode! Nothing they make is reminiscent of good old southern cooking. I think they just wanted an expensive menu while cutting corners as much as possible. Not making anything from scratch, nothing's fresh. Everything is doctored, over seasoned, and atrocious. If it doesn't already come out of the bag and bland it came out of a can then overcompensated to hide that fact with heavy seasoning, you just can't win! As somebody who learned how to cook from their grandmothers kitchen with fresh food, and spends quite a bit of time in the kitchen myself, when I order out I want something comparable if not better than what I can make! This was a horrible disappointment and waste of money! It's truly unfortunate when a restaurant excels at one particular dish but struggles to replicate its success when trying to offer a diverse menu. This results in missed opportunities and subpar food. Instead, stick to burgers and sandwiches, or hire a professional chef to reduce and revamp your menu with items that you can make successfully without relying on pre-packaged ingredients. Currently, you're not equipped to consistently deliver high-quality across the board.

The food here is always delicious! Service is excellent, especially considering the size of our party. It was the perfect spot for our friend's birthday luncheon in a room that was just off the main restaurant, so it was semi-private. My friend ordered several appetizers for the table and everyone devoured them. I have few photos since my phone battery died at the start of the luncheon, but I have been enjoying P'body's delectable food since they were located on Riverside Drive! The new location of the restaurant within the Country Club is very nice and has elevated their menu and dining experience! TBH, I also loved the original restaurant with all of its eclectic decor surrounding you with fun and/or rare collectibles. Comfortable booth seats were my favorite. It was a very casual and comfortable, at-home and welcoming dining feel - which I still miss. One of my friends (who has since moved away) and I enjoyed going for just dessert sometimes. The pies! I took a few photos of only my dish & dessert, so I will let them speak for themselves. Mouth-watering creations! Sorry for not taking pictures of all my friends' and family's dishes. Just go check them out for yourselves! Enjoy.

Pbody's staff is always welcoming and friendly as soon as you enter the door! As soon as you sit down, they bring chips, which is the perfect snack before ordering. Although not pictured, their mojitos are EVERYTHING (esp. the blackberry mojito)! Their food came out hot and perfectly cooked. I can't really complain about anything :)

We were seated pretty fast. Our server was quick attentive and timely. Our food came out quick as well. The chicken salad was not typical. Heavy mayo but in chunks of chicken. I'm used to finely shredded. Just their take on it. Flavor was okay but I'd come back to try other items too! I'm a huge fan of the ranch kettle chips they give you too. I almost ate the entire basket.

We were so excited to try this restaurant as we've heard so many amazing things about it all over Facebook. But I must say I left not as excited as I was when I went in. The food was pretty good. The ambience is very strange. It felt like it wanted to be an upscale restaurant, but the facility isn't quite that. It was also really loud. I found the prices to be a little high. We had a pretty good time but I don't think we'll be back. read more

We were passing close by and the Yelp reviews convinced me to drive out of our way to give this a try. We almost did not go in because we didn't realize this was inside of a country club until we arrived....so be fair warned, THIS IS LOCATED INSIDE OF A COUNTRY CLUB. I called to find out that they are open to the public and no specific attire was required. I was really glad that we visited. We ordered the fried green tomatoes for an appetizer, not realizing that they bring every table some house made chips with ranch reasoning. The chips were great and they FGT was very tasty but the batter was kind of thick. I was surprised at the size of the portions-very large but the main entrees themselves lacked a little to be desired. I ordered the blackened salmon (something I eat often). It was a very large serving but it was very underwhelming-the blacked seasoning was pretty tasteless. The Mac n cheese and green beans were both great. My wife ordered the chicken fingers dipped in Buffalo. Again-huge portion size, very decent, but average taste. I would definitely try this again-too try different entree items, and would recommend it to others. Additionally, the service was very good and the family was very clean. Do not be intimidated by it being in a country club, you can definitely wear casual clothes. Anyways, we have been to this restaurant quite a few times. So far the country fried chicken dinner & their burgers are a hit. The burgers are HUGE! We always get great service, and leave happy with a full stomach. read more

We have only been in Tennessee for 3 months but PBody's is our go-to restaurant. Service is outstanding everytime. Food is excellent. Personally love anything BBQ on the menu. My wife loves the catfish. When our family comes in from out of town, this is where we bring our family. Appreciate this restaurant...it is a gem in Clarksville. Kudos to everyone there...everyone looks like hard workers but also seem to like what they do. read more

You can never go wrong eating at Pbody's everything on the menu is delicious. My favorites are the fried pickles and the various burgers with 5150 sauce added on, yes I like it spicy . The service is always outstanding and the food always comes out fresh and hot. The chips you get when you seated are out of this world and the atmosphere and ambiance here is always rocking. They play a great variety of music that goes great with the food. read more

So freakin GOOD! Okay, I'll start out by saying the atmosphere is kind of off. It's located at a golf course, by this I would think you would need to dress up. Nope, it was a mix of families just from church, young families and older couples all dressed casual. The wait staff was on top of it and the food was sooo good! I got a roast beef sandwich I believe, french fries and a beer. The seasoning on the fries was on point! I'd go back just for them. It was perfect 10/10 type of sports bar food without all the loud tvs. read more

Visited Pbody's for the first time yesterday after seeing so many fantastic reviews. So happy we finally tried it but kicking ourselves for waiting so long to try it!!! The chips were a delicious start. I had the Monterey Chicken which had a wonderful grill flavor...and the Carolina sauce...WOW, it is DELICIOUS!!! My husband had the chicken tenders and he said they are the best he has ever had, he loved the Honey BBQ. We both had Cesar salad and Mac and cheese as our sides and both were FANTASTIC. The service was above and beyond great. We felt so welcomed and can't wait to go back!!! read more

So glad to find such a nice restaurants in town so we don't have to drive to Nashville all the time! We decided sit outside and amazing golf course view it was so relaxing! Our dinner was so homemade and delicious lots of food so we had to get our dessert Togo! And our server Sugar was so happy and attentive, great hospitality! We definitely coming back. read more

PBody's has a lot of variety for food! I love being able to choose something different each time, great drink menu too! The ribs and Mac and cheese are amazing but don't fill up on the amazing chips they serve you...I made that mistake the first time and was so mad at myself because I wanted to eat more of the ribs! Service is normally quickly, the first time we went they forgot our ticket, the last two times have been great. Ambiance is a little dated, kind of reminds me of a retirement/nursing home dining hall. I think this place has amazing potential though! read more

It's located on a golf course, beautiful hidden away location, looks like they have banquet rooms, porch seating and indoor seating. I really really wanted a good steak. I was feeling sorry for myself having to work out of town for the holidays and many places are still closed or only doing take out and I hate eating a really good steak after trying to drive it home for 15 minutes..... Anyway Pbody's did not disappoint. First of all- all the waitstaff are friendly, fast and kind. The food is perfectly seasoned and in good proportions. Steak and mushrooms was wonderful! I want to kiss the cook! It's like eating at home w family, but no dishes to clean. This place is really worth the trip! The filet was melt in you mouth!! A great addition to the country club and a spot even non-members can enjoy. Pbody's offers a wide selection of menu items that vary among taste preferences. Their burgers are enormous, so go hungry if you plan to get one. The staff are friendly and everything came out within a reasonable amount of time, even for the place being pretty crowded. We sat in the dining room off to the side, which is kind of strange feeling and doesn't really seem to fit the actual restaurant vibe. Inside the restaurant it feels cozy and almost pub-like, but the side dining room is still donned with white cloth table coverings and consists of circular banquet type tables. It lends itself to the whole wedding feel if sitting over here. If they plan to use this room consistently, making it mesh more with the other side would be a plus. Otherwise, great food and service! read more

Pbody's became a reality based on the realization of a dream for owners, Nick and Perry. Both have been in the food service industry since the early 80's working in fast food, buffets, steakhouses, casual dining, and even serving our troops in the desert of Iraq. There was a plunger lying on the floor covered in dried up paper towels that were previously wet. A similar substance was around it on the dirty floor. The food was ok, a cheesesteak with a bunch of stuff in it, but I was just thinking maybe we should've just left or asked for a refund. This is a great local eatery. From the homemade potato chips with ranch flavoring sprinkled on top, all the way to the delicious pies made by the owner's wife, everything is simply amazing. Every time I've been there, the service has been excellent and the atmosphere is just as good. There are all kinds of nostalgia around the building, but not so far back that even I, as a young 25 year old, can't find stuff to relate to. Whether it's the James Brown Statue, the original Nintendo, or the Evel Kinevel figurines in the glass cases, or the posters from Mohammed Ali all the way to Lethal Weapon, you'll find something that'll bring back memories and start a fun conversation. I've been there so many times that there's becoming less things on the menu that I haven't had than things that I've already eaten. Their steaks are hand-cut and seasoned well. I can't say enough about the wings appetizer with a buffalo sauce that they put together. The best and biggest, but little-kept, secret is the brisket. Have it by itself, or get it on a burger with the "Big Beefy". Not only that, but the prices are very, very reasonable, even during dinner. This place is off the charts! My son brought me here for a Father's Day supper. I had never heard of the place before, but he said that he'd heard it was pretty decent. He was right on track. When we entered the place it had the feel of a Mom & Pop establishment, everyone was friendly, the atmosphere was family oriented and we were seated right away. The waitress took our orders and immediately brought out a complimentary plate of hot home made potato chips sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. Talk about a how do you do! We decided to order the ribs and because I know how some places really short you on the chow, I ordered the full rack. Holy smokes! The ribs came out quickly and the waitress needed both arms to carry them. These things filled the plate and flopped off of both sides! The were smoking hot and the meat just fell off the bones. Now, these weren't your skinny little ribs from some little pig suffering from a limited diet, these were the big ol' Fred Flintstone brontosaurus ribs, I ain't lying! I ate until my jaws hurt, the were SOOOO good, and I still had enough to load up a take home plate. This place is Numero Uno in my book. You want great ribs, this is the joint. read more

I have eaten at PBody's lots of time, both for lunch and dinner. I stopped in for a quick lunch with my daughter during her APSU break. It was quick, delicious and the service was excellent and to beat it all they give an APSU discount so bonus for us. We got appetizers and split the club sandwich. Perfect and had plenty of time to get her back to school. We have eaten dinner a number of times with family and friends. I have personally eaten every chicken entree they have on their menu. My favorite is the Southwestern although the BBQ and Hawaiian are also top choices. My grandson is 4 and he loves the homemade chips and sweet tea followed up by the chicken tenders and fries. I also ordered their homemade pies for the Holidays. They were the perfect touch. I found out today that they sell their specialty made BBQ by the pound for takeout. WOOHOO, guess what is for dinner. I also read today on their facebook page that they are now serving Dr. Pepper. I am looking forward to lunch on the patio this summer. read more

The Caesar salad is fantastic--fresh, crisp, and perfectly dressed, fantastic buttery and garlic croutons with fresh cheese. The burnt ends are another highlight, packed with smoky, caramelized goodness. Unfortunately, the mac and cheese fell flat; it lacked seasoning and felt more like a plain pasta dish than a comforting classic. On the brighter side, the tater tots were excellent--crispy and well-seasoned. The steak was a standout, cooked to perfection and incredibly juicy. Service was friendly and efficient, adding to the overall pleasant experience. The ambience, set on a golf course, makes for a relaxing and enjoyable meal. Overall, Pbody's delivers great flavors and a welcoming atmosphere, with just a small tweak needed in the seasoning department for the mac and cheese. My boyfriend and I live right down the road from Pbody's and we absolutely love it. His two go-to dishes are the BBQ sandwich and the Chicken Philly sandwich with Pepperjack. This guy loves BBQ and he swears it's the best he's ever had! I pretty much always get the salmon with sweet potato fries. Both are prepared perfectly! Dip the sweet potato fries in their delicious honey mustard and thank me later! :) We almost always get great service. This is one of our favorite spots! This hidden gem in Clarksville is an absolute must-visit! The place is charming, with plenty of cozy seating. This place has quickly become one of our favorite places. It's close to our house, it has an awesome patio, and I've yet to be disappointed by the food. They bring out these delicious home made crispy potato chips in lieu of the traditional bread when you first get sat, and have great prices for the quality.
