Eric did an excellent job of setting up the new PC, transferring all of my files and tutoring me as to the location of my old files in addition to providing a tutorial on the changes involved with Windows 10. He has also interceded twice over the years and addressed remotely issues with my PC, one of which was a bad iTunes update. Eric, Tony and the entire team are to be commended. After spending a good amount of time with me discussing my options, they offered to let me call them while I was out shopping for a new one. New computer in hand, I had them download my files from a failing hard drive and then Eric spent time showing me how to use my new MAC (I had been a PC user). Though Eric was the one who helped me through my crisis (yep, my entire life was on that computer) Thomas needs a shout out, too. A week ago, my 3 years old acer laptop decided to rebel against me and stayed in the reboot loop for days. After many attempts of fixing it on my own (with some advices from Google), I was too fed up so I looked around on Yelp for a good computer repair place and that's how I found PC parlor. When I dropped off my laptop, they were very helpful and told me they will give me a call 1-2 days later if my personal files could be recovered. Exactly one day after, Aly gave me a call to let me know that my data can be recovered and it will take him one or two more days to fix my laptop. Three days after, Andrew called me and asked if I want him to install Microsoft office and antivirus program since they were done fixing my laptop. When I picked up my laptop, they even cleaned the exterior too!! I was very impressed at how cheap they charged me ($65 for diagnosis and $162 in total) and I was very satisfied with their amazing customer service. Would I come back? Yes! Tony is the Man! After several days of searching for an answer to a continuing problem I was having with my e-mail I contacted Tony at PC Parlor. After Time-Warner had sent technicians out on two separate visits to fix the problem without success I was really at a loss. Tried Geek Squad but a three week wait before they could help - - tried Staples who gave me what I knew was bogus advice with an advisory that they could do better if I could wait for a more qualified tech. After contacting Tony he took control of my computer, spent 30 minutes cleaning up the mess Time Warner had created in their abortive attempts, and then another 10 analyzing and correcting the problem. What a bargain! Never had to leave my home had instant easy to understand analysis and corrective action - - couldn't have asked for more. I have been meaning to write a review for this company for months now! Sorry it took so long PC Parlor! I had to have my macbook repaired. They offered me the best price I could find, they were fast, efficient, and super friendly. I found that the bigger company just around the corner were going to charge to ship my computer out (around $50, maybe more) in addition to the costs of repair. And if I chose not to have my computer repaired through them, that fee would not be reimbursed. The money I paid up front to PC Parlor went toward my total cost of repair. And it was significantly cheaper than the big company! I was so happy with their service! I'm happy to have found them and will continue using their business. read more

About a month ago 9/27/2016 I had PC Parlor replace the fan which had died in my 5 year old Dell XPS L702X causing it to overheat and shutdown. It works great now, probably better than it did originally as this particular laptop had numerous complaints about the fan dying or being obnoxiously noisy when it was new. It's very quiet now. They also reinstalled windows 7 as I had put a bare drive in the laptop before giving it to them. I watched the youtube videos to replace the fan myself and decided, why? Knowing me, it would probably take me a couple days and I'd stress out about it. Take it to the pros who do this every day. I'll definitely use them in the future if something like this happens again. Reasonable rates and great service. read more

I don't write a lot of reviews but my experience was too good not to share! Maybe it's best to start at the problem. I remote in from my laptop a lot for work. My new(ish) laptop was having a good amount of problems stemming from keyboard issues and not powering up. I brought it to Best Buy's Geek Squad not once, but twice for the same repair. Each time the repair took 3-4 weeks and there were several charges on my account that were not outlined in the service contract (yep, I'm one of those who actually reads the contract because Geek Squad has pulled sketchy business before costing a few hundred dollars). Flashforward to now, my computer stopped powering up. I decide I couldn't bare another Geek Squad repair so I called into PC Parlor. They told me about the diagnostic fee ($65) upfront and let me know that it could be applied towards any repair fee. I work for a nonprofit and dont have disposable income to throw around, so I was a bit concerned with the diagnostic fee, especially having burned by Geek Squad and the computer repair industry before. The woman on the phone forwarded me to a tech (Ali) who told me he would check it out for free and I could decide in-store if I wanted to pay for a full test and repairs. As it turns out, when Ali opened the laptop up, we found that Geek Squad broke the component they were meant to replace during one of the repairs. They used hot glue to reattach it to the circuit board and I never heard a peep from them! What the hell? Super sketchy! Ali scraped off the glue, repaired to component and now I'm wiriting this review from my fully operational laptop. Impressed by my 5-minute repair and great customer service, I asked what I owe. Ali's reply was "Nothing. I enjoyed our conversation." I was blown away. In a business where taking advantage of the customer is an all-too-common practice, Ali repaired my laptop in 5 minutes and didnt charge me a dime. I will be coming here for every repair from now on. Recently I had to go back to PC Parlor. Again, they did excellent work for me on a difficult job. I was switching from a PC to an iMac and there were several difficulties with my Microsoft Outlook for the Mac. However, they never stopped working to get my iMac and Mac Air working right. They coordinated between Microsoft, Time Warner and Apple to get me up and running. They were worth every cent I paid them. I just arrived in Mumbai, India on a two week business trip and my laptop gets hacked through Skype. This was a first. The screen is black, no programs would open, no internet, no emails, no nothing...totally useless. I have been having problems with the on/off button on my desktop computer. It is very hard to turn on. Finally, decided it was time to get this fixed before I could not turn on the computer anymore. I contacted PC Parlor via email and got a response back from Tony who is the owner. He said bring it in and they would take a look at it. They are located at 23822 Hawthrone Blvd in Torrance but my app had me turn onto Madison. Turned out the app was right on, as PC Parlor is located on Madison but with a Hawthrone Blvd address. I walked in and Tony was on the phone but once he got off, took the desktop apart, walked outside and blew out all the accumulated dust from having the computer located on the floor at home. Tony mentioned he had a similar issue with another customer recently. He fixed the on/off switch, had me test by logging on and then turning off the computer and pressing the on/off switch, to ensure my issue was resolved. He was kind enough to take the desktop to load into my car. He gave me a new customer discount of $30, so I only paid $45 to get this fixed. The experience at PC Parlor was awesome, total customer service received in a stress free and friendly environment. If you need PC repairs/support, I recommend PC Parlor to take care your needs. This is the place to go for hardware issues. I returned from a business trip with lots to do and and my laptop would not boot up. I tried all the things that have worked in the past;- removing the battery, pressing and holding the power button while unplugged, etc. I had a spare battery and cable so I tried those and still nothing. Called and spoke to Autumn who was very pleasant and attentive. She took the basic info and I told her I needed someone to look at it while I waited because I was pressed for time and desperate to get my computer working. She said someone could look at it right away and to come by. I arrived there 15 minutes later and Julian got right to it. Another 15 minutes and I was up and running and out the door AND at a fraction of the cost I expected. Great place, easy parking and access with a large service bar and service area. Dec 2016 my fan stopped working. My husband got it to work for 2 more days then it died completely. Took it to PC Palor and they took the computer apart in front of us. The fan had stopped working but at least it wasn't the type that was molded to the heat sink. it was within a week before Xmas and i got the replacement part and my computer back the Thursday after. It would have been sooner but it was much better in cost and delay than having the Geek Squad send my entire computer back to HP on the East Coast just to tell me it was the fan. I had some issues re-booting with my Outlook account and they fixed that for no added charge. i recently called and asked advice about a pop up scam for malware and they assured me i was ok by not calling or contacting the provided number.
