11/19/2018 I reached out to PC Shards around 17:30 Saturday, and expected not to hear back until today, but Justin replied shortly after - mind you, they were closed. We went back and forth via email and this morning I took in my laptop around 08:50. 11:42 I get a call that it was ready for pick up. IMPRESSIVE! My laptop is about six-years old and the operating speed was way way too slow, which can be expected. So, new hard drive! SUPER FAST - I MEAN REALLY REALLY FAST! My computer was in despair, i had originally taken it to 2 different computer places in hopes on finding out why my computer was running so slow. This is my first review. I felt it was very necessary to share my experience because is was a great one. My computer crashed 2 years ago with all of our family photos on it. I was so reluctant to take it somewhere because I was afraid they would tell me they were gone. I finally decided to start calling around. This was the ONLY place the gave me some assurance they could do it. They also said if we can't do anything for you there is no charge. Everywhere else was charging $$$ up front no matter what. So I figured nothing to lose and took it up to them. The professionalism was top notch. To my wonderful surprise within an hour I got the call back from them that ALL of my photos and videos were recovered! They even took so much extra time with me explaining different things I could do to save, organize and store my photos going forward. This is a great business I would recommend anyone to use them because you will be in great hands and not get scammed out of money! P.S. long story short they had to restore my photos a second time because of something stupid I did while cleaning up our backup. Once again super professional, restored again within the hour and did I mention at no charge!! They ROCK!! read more
