My husband had an older desktop 8.1 Lenovo for some time. He was very attached to it. He liked the way it worked so much it was hard to get him to even LOOK at another. So, I googled computer places other than BB in Prescott area. I found PC Works, called, made an appt to see what they had. We went there met with Vince, so long story short, purchased an ALL IN ONE computer 27" monitor for him. Let it off at noon one day, and by 3 pm it was ready with all data plus transferred from his older desktop. Man fast work. LOVE this company. I have myself an IMAC and it is an all in one, so I like my husbands HP all in one so much I may have to get one, and IF I DO, it will be from this store. I had a BIG problem! I was using a Remarkable 2 Tablet to take very important notes, but dropped it. It landed on it's corner and wound up dented, making it impossible to push the power button. The company is in Norway and did not have an option to repair the unit and return it. Unfortunately, I had not backed it up recently, but desperately needed the notes from it. I took the unit into PC Works and they had never seen one before. At first, they were reticent to attempt anything, and I had to beg, but Vince was willing to try. I was hopeful, but didn't expect much, and was thrilled to hear back from him several weeks later that he got it working! And the cost was exactly as quoted when I brought it in. I have used The PC Works repair services five times on four different PCs. My computer problems ranged from replacing a laptop fan and hard drive, to removing viruses that I couldn't take care of myself. Every time I have gone to The PC Works, they have given me an accurate estimate of the cost and fixed the problem right away for the estimated cost. The most recent repair was on an older Windows 8 HP laptop that was really getting sluggish. I thought it had software conflict problems, but couldn't find any. I took it to PC Works and they diagnosed a dying hard drive. They replaced it with a 1 TB solid state drive. It is now ultra fast - much faster than when it was brand new. Every member of their staff that I have met have been very friendly and a great pleasure to deal with. read more

I took a pc here to get it fixed and they wanted $100 right off to just look at it. Okay, I'm no computer expert so I agreed. Four days later I get a call that the repair would cost $750. The problem was a bad hard drive and a bad memory stick and they wanted $750? So, needless to say, I took my computer and refused them my business. I then purchased the same parts on Amazon for $124 and fixed it myself. They wanted $159 for a 1TB hard drive, I got a 2TB Seagate on Amazon for $61. That's almost three times more money for half the drive space. I don't remember what they wanted for a memory stick, but I double the memory I had for $60 on Amazon. Plugged it in myself. I recently went to PC Works for computer problems I was having. Right when I walked into their office, everyone greeted me professionally and immediately helped me. Josh was the computer tech that diagnosed my computer issue. He found the problem in an hour and gave me the diagnosis while providing me suggestions on the step. I trusted his suggestions and I bought a new computer from them and they transferred all my information over from my old hard drive, even suggested better anti-virus software then I had already been using. I had a pc that was running really slow after 6 years so I brought it in. They told me it had a number of viruses even though I had Norton installed. They could remove all t he viruses but without a great warranty because I didn't have good security on my PC and the hard drive was old technology. I decided to spend the money on a new Lenovo with their defender virus program. If you buy one from Costco You have to think about the cost of transferring all your data to your new computer as well as who is going to do it. They did all this in a day 1/2. I have a Toshiba Satellite S55 laptop I bought from COSTCO. The keyboard began to malfunction about 2 weeks after the warranty ran out. I put up with it for awhile, but i really missed using the F and V keys. PC Works quoted me a price between $100 to $150, with the parts costing $50 of that quote. They promised the computer by Friday and they called Thursday afternoon to say it was ready. Keyboard works like new. The final price was $150. read more

The only reason that this is not a five star review is due to the delays of the repair that were due to the supplier of the part that was needed for the repair. I took my desktop computer in to have it scanned for issues. They were very polite and helpful. Completely explained their work. When I picked up computer all options were explained to me. I get so nerve-wracked when my computer breaks. I botched a hardware repair on my Mac and found PC Works on Yelp and asked for a price quote. It was quite reasonable, so I asked if they have an Apple Certified repair person on staff. They do. So I brought in my broken computer. They gave me a binding estimate and did the repair in a day.
