I took my laptop to them to have the hinge repaired. They found other problems that cost me a few hundred dollars to fix. The problem is that they didn't repair the hinge at all! When I realized it after picking up the laptop, I called and spoke with the owner. I was told that the hinge wasn't broken when I brought it to them and I would need to pay another $90 plus dollars to have them look at what they didn't repair the first time! Now, the laptop runs perfectly but I can't use it because it still has the broken hinge. If you want your computer repaired properly the first time then you need to make sure that you are clear about what is wrong or you might be sitting with a messed up unusable repaired for over $300 laptop! I wouldn't take it back to them now if they offered to do the repair for free! Very disappointed in the way the owner treated me after she was so awesome when I first took the laptop to her! Update!!! The incredibly awesome Josh has personally picked up the computer to correct the issue and repair the broken hinge! I will change it to 5 stars when I get it back, upping it to three for now! Thank you Josh! Final update! The computer is now usable once again! I was just laid off for the first time in many, many years. I had to set up a new lap top and I need office. I really wasn't sure what my company used but I used it efficiently. We had a SharePoint version of excel which was terrible and clunky. Maybe this was Office 365? But if we downloaded the file to our desktop, it was quick and useable. I need to get office but didn't know which one. I did a Google search. PCworks.com came up. I called. I spoke to Eric. He was wonderful and informative although not within 2000 miles of my area. He gave me much insight of what I really needed even though his company couldn't provide it because of distance. Apparently, I don't even have my location set up correctly on this new laptop. But I do have connections in AZ, which I will praise Eric for. Anyone in this area, I highly recommend this company. I have used The PC Works repair services five times on four different PCs. My computer problems ranged from replacing a laptop fan and hard drive, to removing viruses that I couldn't take care of myself. Every time I have gone to The PC Works, they have given me an accurate estimate of the cost and fixed the problem right away for the estimated cost. The most recent repair was on an older Windows 8 HP laptop that was really getting sluggish. I thought it had software conflict problems, but couldn't find any. I took it to PC Works and they diagnosed a dying hard drive. They replaced it with a 1 TB solid state drive. It is now ultra fast - much faster than when it was brand new. Very pleasant experience dealing with the entire team . Took my older I Mac in for service and got their evaluation within three hours . Recommended replacement due to age and cost and there was no sales pressure to upgrade Evaluated my needs and purchased new I Mac from them that came in 3 weeks . The service technician transferred all the data from my old unit to the new computer including set up for virus software and other software I had requested and purchased . The new unit is great and the screen unbelievable clear . I ordered cable to set up a network. I received very fast service the first time I contacted them. Towards the end of my installation, I realized that I needed some additional cable to complete the work. I contacted them over the phone, they took my order as an existing customer and had the cable ready the next day. I was able to ask them some other questions about the install when I picked up the order and they were very helpful with advice and what to expect when I was installing. Very helpful! read more

Both guys were nice. Over priced but when your in a pinch you do not have a choice. Was not shown how anything worked on the new computer. Your remark "We just don't want to warranty lower-end products, our customer's satisfaction is our highest goal" is justification that my computer could have been fixed.
