If there are five Pizza Al's in one area, shouldn't they be named Pizza Al's, Pizza Al's II, Pizza Al's III, etc.? Anyway, I like to think that Pizza Al's II is the illest of the five, because it's the only location that got blessed with Roman numerals in its name. We'll go with that, because the pizza here slaps. First of all, only order the extra-large pizza if you are feeding a big crowd. The extra large is huge! I didn't know just how huge it would be when I ordered. Like shopping for women's clothing, sizes can vary drastically from place to place. One place's extra large is another place's large. So, you can never tell how big the pizza will be when ordering from a new pizza joint. We were very hungry, so I ordered the extra large, but the slices were so big that we each only ate one! We had plenty of leftovers. We also got cheesy breadsticks, and one order is almost as big as a large pizza. I couldn't eat one more bite of bread and cheese beyond my gargantuan pizza slice, so I never did taste the breadsticks. But they were the kind of breadsticks that are like a flat piece of dough covered with cheese, and then cut into sticks. We popped into Pizza Al's II and ordered at the counter, then waited in our car for our order to be ready. But it would make a lot more sense, and save you time, to call ahead and order by phone. The inside of the restaurant is sparse, but there are a few tables, so you can eat your pizza or calzone or whatever here. My kids both said that they knew our pizza was going to be good because of the decor: Lots of pizza boxes stacked on top of each other. Apparently, according to them, that's a good sign that the pizza is going to be great. They were right!
