Food was EXCELLENT, best breadsticks (technically, wedges) I've had in years. Pizza was AMAZING, with sauce I bet was house made. Service was really good, friendly staff. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Cash only, so remember to bring your dollars. Will be a frequent diner from now on. Can't wait to try some of the salads, sandwiches, and pasta!

LOCAL, local, local,... We Love local and local Italian.... A favorite for many years - all pasta is excellent. Lots of street parking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sirianni's is much too small and crowded; service is always excellent.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Request Italian Sausage sandwich - hot

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very local pizza shop. When you walk into the restaurant, you know there is a history.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Delicious pasta, and pizza! They serve local beers and have takeout. Also, I love that you can take a bag of the homemade pizza dough home and make your own pizza in the upcoming week.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The main reason to come to this restaurant is the atmosphere. This is the type of place you expect to find in a small town with oodles of charm[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. The food was good too. The salad was made with really fresh vegetables and the pizza was loaded with those same fresh ingredients. I recommend this place 10 out of 10.

Disclaimer: cash only!! There is an ATM by the entrance if needed. This place was one of the few restaurants open downtown on a Monday night so my family stumbled in. They were pretty busy so we sat a table near the door and we quickly found out that the front door swings open if you don't close it properly and with every incoming customer who didn't close it all the way everyone at the front of the restaurant shot darts from their eyes. My family visited during ski season so they were pretty busy and they seemed to also be short staffed. We waited over an hour for our pizza and pasta so we were glad we ordered salads for an appetizer. There was a sign saying there is a $5 fee for whining so we made sure to wait patiently (haha). For the food, it was pretty standard American pizza. We were surprised when we ordered a Neapolitan pizza and it was basically a cheese pizza with some basil. The pasta is apparently all made in-house - a pleasant surprise.

Decent food but lousy service. They only take cash and seem to prefer that you not even come there in the first place.

Back again after a long hiatus! Love Muriale's ever since my first visit as a 20 something!…read moreStopped by on a drive from Pittsburgh with my sister on our way back to Charlotte and Greenville, SC. I talked into the meatball hoagie with a house salad with the house dressing. Can't wait to eat.... The house salad and Italian bread with soft butter were outstanding. By the number of ingredients, that salad was made with a lot of love. Waiting on the meatball hoagie.... The mixed peppers on the meatball with a large mound of melted mozzarella cheese. The sandwich was large enough that it was a struggle to get my mouth around it to take a bite and that's a good thing! The meatballs and red sauce were as good as ever. My sister had never been to Muriale's so she became an instant fan. After 8 years away this meal was great. Don't ever change and keep it classy. Thank you!

As we're temporarily home bound, a friend brought us delicious takeout from Muriale's. We shared two somewhat-similar and tasty entrees, (1) Eggplant Parmesan ($21) featuring lightly breaded and fried eggplant, fresh mozzarella, ricotta, house-made marinara sauce and (2) Veal Parmesan ($24), with lighted breaded and fried veal, fresh mozzarella, and house-made meat sauce. Both entrees were served with a side of spaghetti and tomato-based sauce, house salad, and garlic toast. Note that the house salad was excellent, consisting of fresh greens, onions, cheese, olives, tomatoes, pepperoni, and roasted red peppers. We chose the balsamic vinaigrette as our dressing. (Side salads in the Fairmont/Clarksburg area are often only iceberg lettuce and a shaving or two of carrots). Our initial thought was that the prices were a bit on the higher side. However, in seeing the high quality of the food, the generous portions, and the "extras" that were included (salad, garlic toast, etc.), we feel that it was a good value.
