Stop in here during a road trip thru WV. Had good write up on Yelp. I took a little bite to get pie but it came out very hot. There is parmesian cheese and red pepper on tables to spread on your food. My wife and I both thought the pie was lacking in flavor. We could hardly make out the individual vegie flavors and the chicken was bland. There seemed to be a good amount of ingredients on it and grust was medium thickness with good flavor. We ordered the artery clog and the BBQ chicken pizza (when you order a pizza you can split half and half). Both pizzas were very good but I will say the crust on the BBQ chicken was a little doughy. Over the taste of the pizza was very good but I will say I didn't think it was anything special. Just good pizza. The food was way below the average, we didn't finish it, but that wasn't the issue Only AFTER we were given a bill we were told they don't accept credit cards. That was shocking. Nowhere there was a sign "cash only" and no one told us up front about cash only service The waiter was extremely rude when I told him I had no cash. While I was looking did anyone in the staff who takes Venmo, they lost my ticket (they have nothing computerized, everything hand written). My husband and I took a weekend trip out to WV and although staying in another town about an hour away from Davis, we decided to take a little trip to this town for some dinner being it was a holiday and not a lot of places were open, but we saw this place was. It was jam packed so I figured we chose a good place, however, while we were waiting to have a table cleared for us, I noticed a sign that said CASH and CHECK only. I thought, it's 2026, there's no way that's for real, so I asked. Sure enough, no credit cards. There is an ATM on site, which I'm sure is great if you fall into the specific financial category that has plenty of money readily available and don't use credit cards to sustain you between pay periods. Must be nice. And who doesn't like to carry a ton of cash with you as you travel to unknown places? Honestly it wouldn't hurt the business to at least have the option of taking cc and then adding that pesky fee like most other places are now doing. Instead, this business ends up hurting customers (or would be customers) by this discriminatory practice. I was so upset and humiliated that we couldn't eat here that we ended up just leaving this town and driving the hour back to our hotel. We honestly probably won't return to Davis because of this whole ordeal. read more

Disclaimer: cash only!! There is an ATM by the entrance if needed. This place was one of the few restaurants open downtown on a Monday night so my family stumbled in. They were pretty busy so we sat a table near the door and we quickly found out that the front door swings open if you don't close it properly and with every incoming customer who didn't close it all the way everyone at the front of the restaurant shot darts from their eyes. My family visited during ski season so they were pretty busy and they seemed to also be short staffed. We waited over an hour for our pizza and pasta so we were glad we ordered salads for an appetizer. There was a sign saying there is a $5 fee for whining so we made sure to wait patiently (haha). For the food, it was pretty standard American pizza. We were surprised when we ordered a Neapolitan pizza and it was basically a cheese pizza with some basil. The pasta is apparently all made in-house - a pleasant surprise. read more

Options for lunch on a Monday are limited in Davis, but Sirianni's was open and easy to access, being right off the main road. The interior is small, and we waited more than 5 minutes for someone to come take our order, but the drinks and food came out quickly after that. The restaurant was probably half full while we were there. We had a mozzarella plate, a small Caesar salad, and a large Johnnie's cheese pizza. The Caesar salad was a big portion (the waitress might have accidentally brought the large size--I didn't check the receipt), and the lettuce was fresh and the dressing light, although a tad too lemony. The pizza crust was the star of the show: crisp at the edges and just chewy enough in the center. The pizza was not heavily sauced (which I loved), but I personally found the chopped basil on top a bit heavy-handed and the overall flavor of the cheeses slightly bitter. The prices are a little high, which is to be expected from a touristy area near ski resorts and state parks. We would definitely try Sirianni's again if we were in the area, although we probably would order different items. read more

We arrived just before one and they told us we had a thirty minute wait. At 1:15 some one came and said that they could seat us but we would need to be done by 2:00 because they had a party coming who would need the table. We felt we would have no problem with that. Then another person came and rudely said it would be another 30 minutes to be seated and if we wanted that table he would kick us out at 2:00 when the next party came. I said we are usually pretty quick and we already waited fifteen minutes, he argued with us about how long we had waited and he just said no we will help you another time and walked away. We have eaten here before and felt the wait was long in the past but we're shocked at the way we were treated. If they simply said sorry the wait will be longer than we thought we would have understood. Had a lovely experience at Sirianni's, which is in the heart of Davis. We were seated immediately (granted it wasn't ski season) and the place has lots of fun decor and eclectic seating (and a pay to use jukebox if you're into that). My partner and I shared the parmesan wedges, which were good but really just cheese pizza. They were lovely with both the marinara and the ranch. We then got Johhnie's cheese pizza, which was a great blend of cheeses. It came on a lovely thin crust and the basil was a nice touch. Visited Davis, WV on a day trip from our Airbnb in Cumberland, MD. Originally from Louisiana, we are serious about our food here and we struggled to find things we enjoyed in Cumberland. After we visited Canaan Valley and Blackwater Falls, we were ready for a good meal. We drove through the cute town of Davis and stumbled upon Sirianni's. The place was PACKED to the brim with people waiting outside in the cold even for a table. It was loud, bustling, and smelled delicious so we were pleased with our choice. So much character in the walls of this restaurant--even down to the numerous letters and notes shoved underneath the glass tabletop covers. We ordered an antipasta salad to split and a large artery clogger (haha!) pizza. The salad was a little different than what we're used to because it had a sort of sweet vinaigrette on it but we devoured it. The meat and cheese on it were so fresh and delicious. The pizza was piping hot with a thinner crispy crust and zesty sauce with yummy amounts of Italian sausage, pepperoni and bacon. We thoroughly enjoyed it as well. Heads up though--it's cash only! I didn't notice if there was an ATM in house there but I'm sure you could find one nearby if not. Well - I should have listened. We originally wanted to eat next door, but thanks to an outbreak of flu at that establishment - they were closed. There are plenty of places to eat along this stretch and unless everything else but here is closed - eat somewhere else. FIRST PROBLEM: Being addressed by anyone upon entry. There is an army of waiters waitresses, etc etc - NOT ONE PERSON SAID HELLO UPON ENTERING. We stood and waited .. and waited .. and waited to be acknowledged. Workers looked at us - nothing. Finally an older lady asked how many and we were sat up in the corner. Waiter (young kid) came up and immediately asked us if we knew what we wanted to order......... what? So we started with drinks. He came back almost instantaneously and asked if we knew what we wanted to order. So we ordered mozzarella wedges which I thought sounded like cheese sticks. We also order two small pizzas - one the artery clogger Bc it had meats on it. Waited. Waited. Other people near us sat after us getting food - waited. Waited. We get the wedges - which is just a pizza with no sauce. Came with sauce and ranch - both were very good. But------ the dough was almost stale. Had no flavoring. Was very very bland. Then we waited. Waited. Waited. A couple who ordered after we ordered the appetizer - got their pizza. We waited. Waited. Waited. And the waiter who was so pushy early? Nowhere to be found. Pizzas came out - little to no toppings, the crust was stale again - and it wasn't as "big" as advertised by our waiter. Really disappointing. I've never left Davis WV without first eating at Sirianni's. Truly an old school Italian restaurant with little room for a crowd, so be mindful if visiting during peak mealtimes. The food is great-an authentic touch of traditional old time Italian food. Really have never had a bad dish - can't complain about anything with this restaurant. Well, really disappointed that we didn't eat at the place I originally researched. I guess when we get used to such an up to the minute, google world and the place is closed when you travel 1.5 hours away, it reminds you to go back to the archaic phone to call and see if they're open. Anyways, not this place's fault. Well, it looked cute from the outside and just a quick, last minute glance on Yelp from past photos, looked appealing. When we go to the waiting area, we did wait for a while without a hello or hi. Lucky, I think, this place had a sign reminding me that its only cash or check. They have an ATM so I snagged 40$ thinking that would be enough for pizza and drinks for 2. WE sat in a nice place where we weren't in the middle of everything, but regrettably we may have been out of sight. I think this is the first time I have ever been to a restaurant where the waiter is asking what I want to order before I have even read more than the first page. Maybe he assumed we were regulars and knew what we wanted. WE ordered the Parmesan appetizer because I just shot from the hip. We got some sodas and waited for quite a while for just the app. Luckily it came before I fainted from starvation. :) We finishes day that and then we waited again for our pizzas. My pizza was legit on fire it was so hot. I am happy it was serviced warm of course, but beware to blow on it before you bite into it. It was all okay and the women's bathroom was really cute with framed vintage store cut outs from catalogs, like Tiffanys & Co. I also tried to play some music on the touch tunes, but even though it was on the app, the juke box wasn't hooked up to an internet so that I could select a song from the comfort of my chair. So I'm from DC and won a mystery trip which turned out to be to wonderful West Virginia! Our big group dinner one night there was at Siriannis. As soon as the trip staff told me they used a ton of garlic, I was all "SOLD!" There was about 20 of us in our group and they had put together a lovely spread of different things for us. We started with 2 big salads, seemed to be Greek and Antipasto of some sort. Then we had two types of cheese sticks - garlic and parm. Next it was several types of pizza including the veggie and BBQ. And as if that wasn't enough already, we then had the Aglio Olio and Pomodoro pastas! As a huuuuge garlic lover, the garlic cheese sticks and the Aglio Olio pasta were my two favorite items from the night. The pasta was legit swimming in garlic and so freaking good! I mean, everything we had was delicious! I really liked the crust on the pizza as well - not too thick and not too thin... it was juuuuust right! Our server, Misty, was fantastic and didn't even skip a beat handling our big crew. She was super attentive the entire time and always made sure my wine glass was full! Always enjoy a visit here. Last time we had the glen plakes which I love, a cheese pizza and the Magherita. All fresh and so hot! The owner was lovely to chat with and we enjoyed some juke box music. It was a busy night but they stay moving. I love that the staff have cell cubbies at the front so they can't be distracted when they are working best part was desserts that night. Spaghetti from a Italian Restaurant should be a easy basic crowd pleaser. This dish I was served was not pitiful Pasta- acceptable. nothing too bad or good Sauce- I think the sauce should accommodate the pasta and meatball this sauce did neither was more of paste then a sauce leaving the dish dry and hard to digest. Meatballs- This is my biggest let down. Super simple a lightly seasoned mix of meat cooked into a tasty ball that blends with the dish these meatballs were undercooked and mushy with poor flavor with the mixture of thin soft angel hair, paste"sauce", and a mush meatballs makes a very unpleasant mixtures of texture.
