I walked in to Zaxby's and it was pretty empty and that should have been my first red flag but I continued to order anyways. It was super quiet when walking in and the booth seating was sticky. There was an older woman at the register who was extremely polite and helpful while taking my order. Once I was given my drink cup I went to the soda machine to get I e and noticed that there was something black in my cup, I emptied out the ice and got more and found more black stuff in my cup. I don't know what it was but I know it wasn't anything good. I advised the cashier and she told me they were working on the machine last night but she offered to fill my cup from the drive thru fountain which was good. Once we got our food it was cold and I don't understand why because we were literally the only people in the restaurant. When I got my loaded fries they were drenched in ranch and that's all I could taste. Usually I order in the drive thru without any issues but today was a bad day altogether. The one thing I have positive about this experience is the lovely older woman cashier. She was so nice and tried everything she could to make our experience better but it wasn't her fault. You could clearly see her coworkers were doing their own thing and not trying to work as a team. After this experiences don't think I'll ever return to this location. read more

Got the wings and things and I wasn't impressed. Zaxby's isn't as good as it was when I was a teen and overpriced. The chicken tenders were so small, a tad bigger than nuggets. I used to love going here when we lived around the corner. I just got an order delivered though and it was not good. The tenders are half the size they used to be. They think 1 sauce is enough for 6 tenders and even with the size change it is not even close. You can't order coleslaw as a side, you have to order a meal if you want any. The food was very cold. The driver got here quick so I'm not blaming them. I get stuff from farther away that arrives reasonable hot. I hate when good restaurants go down hill like this. read more

I had seen Zaxby's advertised around the area, but had never found myself nearby. This occasion, coming from the Orlando airport, I was near enough to try it out. After a few navigational errors because of road construction, I made my way. The location is easy enough to get to and the store looks new, or at least very well maintained. The store is closed to business inside, but the drive-thru was hopping at dinner time. That told me it was probably very popular. Pretty good sign. Perusing the drive-thru menu on the way to the speaker, we made our choices. The person on the other end of the speaker was very pleasant and helpful. Once I got to the window, the young man at the window was also very pleasant and helpful. They made doing business with them a good experience. We got our food and traveled to a nearby parking spot to chow down. At the window, I had asked the server if I would like this as much as Chick-Fil-A and he told me yes. To be honest, I really didn't. The food was good and satisfying and actually cheap, but for me, didn't rise to the level of Chick-Fil-A - especially the spicy chicken sandwich. As far as the Chicken Finger dinner, that was very good. Probably should have been my choice, but it wasn't. These are not close to my residence, so they would take a special trip to get to. I don't think I would be that interested in doing that, but would surely think about coming back to it if in the area. read more

I personally love Zaxby's. I love their french fries I love the seasoning on them, but it sucks when you go every time and the bread and cooked on both ends. The chicken is on battered and the fries are unseasoned. Every time I come to the Zaxby's they give me sloppy food and they seem to be unhappy and miserable with their jobs. Ive never had a problem with this Zaxbys before but I doordashed today and ordered three cookies, when i got my order I saw that I only got two cookies and a "2" was written on the bag. They seriously knew they were only giving me two cookies and one even wrote it on the bag as if that was going to make me feel less annoyed that I was missing a cookie. A true horror show of a Zaxbys. I WILL NEVER ORDER HERE AGAIN! I ordered a meal that had 4 meals, three sides, and 4 drinks. My meal came with 1 combo that wasn't even what I had asked for. So I assumed there was an issue with the store so I called and asked for my order to be compensated. A woman named Kelly who is the manager there answered the phone with a rude demeanor telling me that I could not be compensated for my meal. Move over Chick-fil-A, and Wendy's there's a new king in town. The first time I tried Zaxby's off of Lee Vista and Narcoossee just around the corner from my house. This location is awesome, the ordering staff is very friendly and prompt. I tried the new jerk spicy chicken sandwich combo and I was blown away by the quality of the chicken, and the taste of the amazing fresh sauce. The quality of Zaxby's chicken sandwich topped Chick-fil-A which in my book was the best chicken at a fast food restaurant. My wife had the chicken nibblers and also was surprised by the high-quality and the freshness of the sandwich we received. I would highly recommend Zaxby's for a quick bite to eat with the family if you're looking for something in between a sit down restaurant yet better than just quick take out. read more

I ordered the fried white cheddar bites with Zax sauce ... and got marinara sauce. I ordered the boneless buffalo wings, wimpy, with torch tongue sauce, and got ranch sauce. I ordered the grilled chicken Caesar salad ... and GOT NO DRESSING. The croutons were under-done; they were more like stale bread. Super stingy with the parmesan cheese, too. The chicken in the salad tasted like those Tyson Grilled and Ready chicken strips you'd find in the fridge section of your local grocery store. There is no way this restaurant put fresh, grilled, custom-cooked chicken breast in this salad. I paid almost $10.00 for a salad that had chicken in it that I could have bought in a store and put on lettuce myself. Fantastic. What idiot packing orders doesn't pay attention to sauce orders? And what idiot packing orders doesn't put CAESAR SALAD DRESSING in with a SALAD?? I don't know if this place has opened its in-person dining restaurant. But if they have, they clearly don't give a rat's behind about the delivery orders, and we pay MORE for what we're ordering than in-person, or drive-thru diners do. If I could give them negative stars, I would after waiting in the drive-through for almost 10 minutes to place my order I finally get to the window pay for my food then they told me I need to park on the side where McDonald's is and they will bring me my food when it is ready. I asked them how long they tell me two minutes. I am now waiting in the parking spot for over 10 minutes. Have to walk inside to pick up my food myself. Zaxby's has my favorite fast food fries. The secret is the seasoning. I used to drive all the way to the Millenia Mall area just because I had a craving for the fries. If other chains catch on to the idea, Zaxby's might be in trouble. I'm so happy this location opened up 5 minutes from me! There's plenty of seating, but the line gets backed up quickly because there are only two walk-up registers. If you're going at lunch on a weekday, try to get there before noon. Comparing to other zasbys this one needs improvement. The order consisted of The House with grill chicken and a BLTC with fries. To begin with there where only 2 pieces of lettuce in the BLT and very scarce fries. The chicken of the salad had the fat on and the portion was small and cold. I'm a big fan of Zaxby's and have eaten at several dozen of their Southern locations. If there's one thing I've experienced consistently at this chain it's that the chicken tenders and fries always taste like they were just cooked, which it was we were surprised to find our tender lukewarm and fries cold. I walked up to the counter and asked for a fresh batch of each and they had reinforcements out within two minutes. Fortunately, they rivaled what Zaxby's has become famous for: damn good chicken tenders and fries that taste great when dipped in Zax sauce. This explains why it's so crowded all the time. If you're from out of the region, these rival what's dishes out at Bojangles and Raising Canes and if you're in the mood for chicken tenders or a grilled chicken sandwich, you can't go wrong. read more

My first visit to Zaxby's ever in my life and I walked in, the floor had a oily residue making it very slippery. I guess all the oil from frying has left a residue all over the floors. I mentioned it to the cashier and a very casual 'Yeah, someone mopped last night'. I asked if anyone sprayed a de-greaser and mopped again, and I got a look as if 'Not my job' Overall the food was what I would expect from the freezer section of a grocery store. Mass produced pre-frozen food they just fry and serve. I won't be back. If I want processed chicken shaped items I'll go to the freezer section and it will be a lot cheaper. After going through the painful ordeal of ordering, I got my chicken dish w/ fries and texas toast and coleslaw. - While the chicken was moist it had zero taste. How does chicken w/ a fried coating have ZERO taste? -The french fries looked like a naughty treat and I got very excited but it tasted like a bland potato in my mouth. Maybe they don't salt them? -The coleslaw while ok was pretty much like the coleslaw at KFC. For $9.70 I would have rather eaten at Cheddar's across the street. For fast food the food was better than average. The Zax sauce is delicious. All in all I received great service and was satisfied with the food, especially for the low cost and still pretty good.
