A job I should have just done myself it's 5 bolts and a wire. You don't have to disconnect anything. It's a simple job. They tried to replace a fuse and say that was the problem. When I explained I saw the pump burnt out and told them how it keep blowing new fuses. Not to mention the warning symbols on the dash. They insisted I was wrong and returned my vehicle after I paid them 200 dollars. I start driving to work and it overheats and all the light are I told them about before are back on. They told me I needed to return the car to the shop. They don't sent vehicles out with service problems. After a couple hour of argument I was finally able to get them to tow it back to the shop. Fast forward 3 weeks later. They told me it was the pump this time and it would be another 900 dollars. I pay them thinking they have fixed my vehicle I can now finally stop riding the bus and working 7 days a week to pay for the repairs. I take my car and start driving to work when you guessed it. My car overheated and all the lights are on again. They tell me I have to drive it back to the shop. Keep in mind I am 24 miles away at this point and I have a broke car I just paid 1100 dollars to be fixed. I wait a few hours and try driving it back. The car is way overheating and they brakes locked up. I told them I am not driving this broken vehicle and they need to get it picked up. They get it back to the shop and tell me. The hybrid battery is overheating and I need to take it elsewhere. I took it to another shop. Only to find out Coloradoland didn't put any coolant in the vehicle after replacing the pump. It burned out the new pump and overheated. Skip ahead 2 more weeks. I have missed out on 600 in wages and paid 1100 dollars. They finally replace the broken part. During these repair they took spare fuses from my car and stole two bottles of coolant from the back of vehicle to finish the work they charged me for. Negligence and incompetence is one thing. Charging me for parts and services and stealing products from my vehicle is wild. It's much hard to get a debit card company to return money for a breach of duty than a credit card company. Lesson learned always use a credit card. Don't let shops steal from you. I am going to post this story everywhere until. This shop is closed. Edit: was called today by the manager trying to convince me that I told him he could use my coolant to complete the repairs. Now he wants to fix the situation after he got called out on the internet for the world to see. Which sounds more likely they were pissed at me for getting upset at them for dragging out these repairs and messing the job up. They tried to get over on me and took product from my vehicle. Or I after paying them hundreds and hundreds of dollars for products and services. Went out of my way to buy them coolant to put in my vehicle that I had already paid them to repair. That coolant was in my vehicle because as I stated they never put any in the vehicle after their repairs. When I took it to another shop to find out what was really going on I purchased that coolant to put in my vehicle to see if this would fix the problem but the pump had already burned out. When I came back in you wanted to act like nothing was your fault I got mad at you. You decided to use my coolant to stick it to me because you were angry at me for holding you accountable for messing this job up. Which seems more likely I went out of my way to provide you with products for repairs that I already paid for or you took something without asking because you were upset and try to get over on me. That said, when I confronted them on it, they owned up to it and took care of the parts for their mistake with no hesitation! So I'm incredibly happy and super grateful that they took care of me, but super disappointed that I had to go without my car for a week. Do I give them a good review for being a very honorable shop? Or ding them for being the cause for my hardship to begin with? The owner stated that the individual who messed up my car is no longer with the company and hasn't been for some time, so I could assume that, that person wasn't worthy of working there, but that's just a guess. Anyway, the shop was incredibly easy to deal with even a year after doing the work, but that work cause my car to have catastrophic failure of a key component of my cars operation. Basically this shop didn't reseal my ECU after receiving my APR tune. Unfortunately I didn't realize this trouble until our rainiest month I've ever seen here in Colorado. All that rain somehow made it to the ECU of my VW CC and it didn't end well. I don't think I would recommend this shop based on my experience, but for those that enjoy their service most likely have more experience with them than I do. My poor experience could have been an isolated event, but it still it ended positively with a bumpy road in the middle, so it hard to say based on one event through my eyes. Okay, so I have never been a "customer" here per se…read more However, I have a story to share that will give you some insight to the kind of man that owns this place. So back in 2013, I had just moved to Colorado from Texas. I had not been able to find any work and ended up living out under the Broadway bridge, on a bike trail until I could find work and get on my feet. (A tent came before the actual roof over my head.) A friend and I had moved out there, not knowing a single person in the state. We had at this point been out on the streets for a couple of months, summer of 2013, before the flood. We were both donating plasma twice a week, but were having a terrible time finding work. Anyway, one day, I had had enough, and made a sign that said "WILL WORK FOR JOB". I didn't want any handouts, although that's usually what people ended up doing if they did anything to help, but it wasn't what I wanted. I wanted to be able to help myself. One day, I was out at the intersection of 72nd and Federal (before the Walmart was there), holding the sign. A man stopped and asked if I meant it. I said yes I did. He told me he owned a business down the road, and he needed a bunch of bushes and trees cleared up so he could have more room for cars. He introduced himself as Earl. This was the man that owns Federal Valley Motors. For months after that, usually twice a week, he would pay me $15 an hour to go clear up his property. There was a lot there, so being just me doing the work, it was going to take a while. I did it twice a week because once his dumpster was full, there really wasn't anywhere to put all the brush and limbs I had trimmed. Anyway, Earl is an amazing person, and he helped me at a time in my life when I had nothing and nobody to help. Because of Earl, I didn't starve, and I was eventually able to get my life back on track. I remember one day I had been at the McDonald's at 72nd and Sheridan trying to get a job, and I was walking back to my tent, and Earl drove up and saw me and stopped. He was helping one of his relatives move, and offered to pay me to help, same amount. So I did. He even took me to McDonald's to get food on the way there, and I had the biggest meal I'd had in a week that day. We moved everything, and then he brought me back to the side of town I was staying on. Anyway, after a while, I got a job at the McDonald's on 64th and Indiana, and lived in motels for the next five years. With what we were paying, we we never had the money for a deposit and rent at the same time. Rent was due every paycheck. I worked there for a couple years until they changed ownership, then I went to the one at 80th and Wadsworth for a couple of years, before finally getting tired of the ever increasing cost of living in Colorado and moved back to Texas. I'm a tour guide in a vacation town now, I am doing better in my life than I ever have, own place, no roommate, plenty of "disposable income", but I can't help but wonder how things would have turned out had I never met Earl. At that point, I had pretty much lost all faith in humanity. He helped me turn my life around and I am eternally grateful for that. I was never able to finish the trimming work, most of it got finished, I did it twice a week for two or three months, but I started working at McDonald's overnights, and I was just never able to make it back out because of my work schedule. But Earl, if you read this, I just want to thank you. I really appreciate what you did for me, and I will never forget it.
